3 Unique Food Spots you MUST visit in MELBOURNE | Food Guide (2023)

Are you up for trying some very unique places to eat in Melbourne?

There’s no doubt that Melbourne is known for its unique and diverse food options, after all, we’re known as the foodie capital of Australia.

If you love Korean food and you also love Italian cuisine, then you need to pop into Pizza Monster for a visit and try their famous Korean pizzas.

We had the signature Pizza Monster where you can try a little bit of everything on your pizza, including beef bulgogi, Korean-style potato mash and even corn cheese.

If you’re keen to try out the latest viral food trend from Japan, be sure to try the spicy ice cream ramen from Sugar Labo. Not for everyone, but if you’ve ever wondered what ice cream in ramen tastes like, this is the place to try it.

Lastly, we headed to the Australian Open to uncover the array of delicious food options. Who would’ve thought that the Australian Open would be a foodie wonderland?

We went to Ca Com to have their signature pork belly banh mi, then we stopped by at Elsie’s for a creamy butter chicken, and ended our day at Karkalla for unique indigenous food offerings, like kangaroo skewers and salt and pepperberry calamari. Not only was there so much epic food, but seeing all the stars has inspired us to learn to play.

**We were invited by the Australian Open to attend the event to experience their foodie wonderland

Melbourne vlog part 1:

Melbourne food and travel vlog part 2! Started the day with the really famous Japanese bakery place called Bakemono Bakers in hidden artistic alleyway of Melbourne CBD. Their yuzu almond croissant and blueberry tar were so flaky and love the hint of Japanese flavour to this french pastry. We'll be back for melon pan, one day for sure!

Then, our friends Peter and Ony from Two Hungry Diners, youtube foodie & travel couple based in Melbourne, took us around South Melbourne Market to have delicious food tour like Agathe Patisserie's famous pandan croissant & pandan flan, borek, and dim sims. Check out their YT:

We stayed at Movenpick Melbourne Hotel and every day for hotel guest, you can enjoy unlimited buffet free flow style of chocolates and desserts for one hour, called Chocolate Hour that is running 3:30PM to 4:30PM everyday!

Before flying back to Sydney, we queued for 1 hour to get our hands on Lune croissant which was quoted as one of the best croissant in the world! It did not disappoint and whilst so many people review them as overrated, we genuinely love and enjoyed both plain croissant and almond croissant from Lune. Puzzle coffee is where you can get edible coffee cup that made out of grains & oats so tasted like Weet-Bix. Fortress Melbourne is the must visit place in Melbourne for gamers and good news is they are opening soon in Sydney! Torissong is one of the best teishoku or Japanese set meal that we've tried in Australia so far.
