Battery Spencer Viewpoint in San Francisco is the best viewpoint in the city to capture the magnificent and iconic San Francisco bridge.

How to get there:
Head across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco and take the Alexander Ave exit on the right side of the highway. Then go left under the highway and turn right onto Conzelman. The first left goes to the North Tower parking lot (an alternate parking area) and the Battery Spencer parking lot is just a bit farther on the left. Be patient if you want a spot here. Many of the visitors are tourists who come and go regularly so spots do open up eventually.
There are only a dozen or so spots here, so depending on when you go, it can be jam-packed. After grabbing a parking spot, you will start the less than a quarter-mile walk up to the viewpoint.
Along the way, you will see all of the old abandoned military buildings, some in better shape than others. A few of the buildings can be entered, but most are completely locked up.
The main draw for this area is, of course, the viewpoint at the top of the hill.

Number 10. Brighton
Brighton is hip, colorful, and unusually urban for a seaside resort. London's beach, 60 miles from the capital, is a year-round day trip or short break destination with lots more to offer than its seafront. The house was commissioned in 1756 by John Spencer (who later became the first Earl Spencer), as he required a large townhouse in London to augment his position and status. The architect he chose was John Vardy, who had studied under William Kent. Vardy is responsible for the facades of the mansion that we see today.
In 1758, James Athenian Stuart, who had studied the arcadian values of Ancient Greek architecture, replaced Vardy as the architect of the project. As a direct result of this, Spencer House was to have authentic Greek details in the internal decoration, and thus it became one of the first examples in London of the neoclassical style, which was to sweep the country.
As the home of successive Earls and Countesses Spencer, the staterooms of the house became a theatre for the pageant that was London high society. Members of the Spencer family occupied the mansion continuously until 1895, when the house was let out. The Spencers returned for a brief time during the first quarter of the 20th century, after which the house was let at various times as either a club or offices. During the Blitz of the Second World War, it was stripped of its few remaining authentic treasures, specially made furniture, and fireplaces.
