In November 2020, I decided to escape my daily routine and visit Kazan, one of my favorite cities in Russia. Kazan is a unique combination of cohabitation of people of hundreds of nations. For the last decade Kazan has been developed to purely European city but it also saved it's natural mixed vibe of numerous cultures.

Due to pandemic and the closed borders because of it I started traveling more around my country. And I'm really happy about it. Russia is huge and there so many kinda wild places. For example, one month ago I visited Dagestan, and it's a completely different Russia comparing to Moscow and St Petersburg.
If you are from Europe or the United States, Dagestan may seem wild to you. This region of Russia lives by its own traditions and laws. But nevertheless Dagestan is something from another planet. The beauty around you takes your breath away. It is impossible to resist and not try the local incredibly delicious cuisine. And when you see the local lezginka dances it's very hard not to smile and not start dancing.
Wake up in the morning on the coast of the Caspian Sea, and in the evening fall asleep in the mountains near the canyon. Go horse riding in the morning in the mountains, and a couple of hours later climb a cliff on an unsafe ladder. Try local hot pies and listen to stories about local life. Dance lezginka with locals and talk about everything with interesting people - this is Dagestan. And many more.

Vorkuta is a coal-mining town, situated in the northeast of European Russia, just north of the Arctic Circle. With it's satellite towns, Vorkuta forms the so-called Vorkuta Ring or Vorkuta Circle, which included such towns as Severny, Tsementnozavodsky, Yur-Shor, Promyshlenny, Vorgashor, Komsomolsky, Mulda, Zapolyarny, Oktyabrsky, Sovetsky and others. Their population was employed in coal mines and other industrial and military facilities. After collapse of the Soviet Union, many mines were closed due to accidents and high operating costs and people began to move to other regions. The towns of Vorkuta Ring became partially or completely abandoned, some were demolished.

Сама́ра (с 27 января 1935 года по 25 января 1991 года — Куйбышев) — город в Среднем Поволжье России, центр Поволжского экономического района и Самарской области, образует городской округ Самара[5]. Город трудовой и боевой славы[6] (2016). Город трудовой доблести[7] (2020).
Население — 1 136 709[2] чел. (2022), восьмой по численности населения город России. В пределах агломерации (третьей по численности населения в России) проживает свыше 2,7 млн человек.
Расположен на левом берегу Саратовского водохранилища напротив Самарской Луки, при впадении в неё рек Самары (отсюда название города) и Сока. Впервые название реки Самары упоминается в записках секретаря арабского посольства и путешественника Ахмеда ибн Фадлана (921 год) как «Самур».
Крупный экономический, транспортный, научно-образовательный и культурный центр[8]. Самара также представляет собой крупный центр машиностроения и металлообработки, металлургии, нефтеперерабатывающей, пищевой, а также космической и авиационной промышленности. В городе располагается более 150 крупных и средних промышленных предприятий[9].
В Самаре одна из самых длинных в России речных набережных и самое высокое здание железнодорожного вокзала в Европе[10][11]. Кроме того, площадь им. Куйбышева является четвёртой по размеру площадью в Европе[12]. В 2018 году в городе были проведены матчи чемпионата мира по футболу.
Указом Президента Российской Федерации от 2 июля 2020 городу было присвоено звание «Город трудовой доблести»

Saint Petersburg (Russian: Санкт-Петербург, tr. Sankt-Peterburg, IPA: [ˈsankt pʲɪtʲɪrˈburk] (listen)), formerly known as Petrograd (1914–1924) and later Leningrad (1924–1991), is the second-largest city in Russia. It is situated on the Neva River, at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea, with a population of roughly 5.4 million residents.[9] Saint Petersburg is the fourth-most populous city in Europe after Istanbul, Moscow and London, the most populous city on the Baltic Sea, as well as the world's northernmost city of more than 1 million residents. As Russia's Imperial capital, and a historically strategic port, it is governed as a federal city.
The city was founded by Tsar Peter the Great on 27 May 1703 on the site of a captured Swedish fortress, and was named after apostle Saint Peter. In Russia, Saint Petersburg is historically and culturally associated with the birth of the Russian Empire and Russia's entry into modern history as a European great power.[10] It served as a capital of the Tsardom of Russia, and the subsequent Russian Empire, from 1713 to 1918 (being replaced by Moscow for a short period of time between 1728 and 1730).[11] After the October Revolution in 1917, the Bolsheviks moved their government to Moscow.[12]
As Russia's cultural center,[13] Saint Petersburg received over 15 million tourists in 2018.[14][15] It is considered an important economic, scientific, and tourism centre of Russia and Europe. In modern times, the city has the nickname of being the Northern Capital of Russia and is home to notable federal government bodies such as the Constitutional Court of Russia and the Heraldic Council of the President of the Russian Federation. It is also a seat for the National Library of Russia and a planned location for the Supreme Court of Russia, as well as the home to the headquarters of the Russian Navy, and the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. The Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint Petersburg is home to the Hermitage, one of the largest art museums in the world, the Lakhta Center, the tallest skyscraper in Europe, and was one of the host cities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2020.
