LE BRUSC????Hameau de Six-Fours-les-Plages - Côte d'Azur
À 15 km à l’ouest de Toulon, le hameau du Brusc, qui fait partie de la commune de Six Fours Les Plages, est un petit village de pêcheurs authentique, typiquement méditerranéen.
En fait, le Brusc, c’est un petit Saint Tropez des années 60, les paillettes en moins et les pêcheurs en plus. Les pêcheurs (au nombre de 48 dans les années d’après-guerre) sont encore 4 à vendre leur pêche sur le port ou aux restaurants du mardi au dimanche. Que du frais ! Ils se déplacent en pointu, barque de pêche traditionnelle emblématique propulsée par une voile latine ou un petit moteur. Pointues à l’arrière comme à l’avant, ces curieuses barques animent le port et lui donnent une note colorée !
Six-Fours-les-Plages est une commune française située au bord de la Méditerranée dans le département du Var, en région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Elle fait partie de la métropole Toulon Provence Méditerranée.
Son territoire, géographiquement privilégié bien que soumis à un important mistral, est caractérisé par une importante partie boisée et une urbanisation concentrée sur la côte et autour du fort de Six-Fours. Ce dernier se situe sur une colline remarquable et protège la rade de Toulon, que la commune entoure. La ville, qui comptait 33 339 habitants au dernier recensement de 2015, est la septième plus peuplée du département et se trouve au cœur de l'agglomération toulonnaise qui, avec ses 569 793 habitants, constitue la 3e plus importante de la région.
Au départ simple hameau situé sur la colline du fort et ceint d'une imposante muraille composée de plusieurs tours (d'où sa toponymie), la commune voit sa population augmenter à partir des années 60 à mesure du développement du tourisme et de l'urbanisation subséquente. Elle constitue aujourd'hui tout à la fois une banlieue résidentielle de Toulon et une station balnéaire appréciée pour son patrimoine naturel.

We visited Ile du Grand Gaou and Ile de Petit Gaou in February 2019 on a sunny and windy day. At the restaurant nearby we had a icecream and some drinks.
L'Île du Grand Gaou est une île française du Var. Elle dépend administrativement de Six-Fours-les-Plages et fait géographiquement partie de l'archipel des Embiez.
Le site touristique est protégé pour ses plantes sous-marines de la famille des Posidoniaceae (Posidonie). L'Île du grand Gaou renferme de nombreuses criques, est traversée par un sentier de découverte botanique et dispose d'aires de pique-nique. Une passerelle la relie à l'île du Petit Gaou.
L'île des Embiez (leis Embiers en occitan selon la norme classique ou leis Embiés en provençal selon la norme mistralienne, signifiant « les deux »1) est une île française située à un kilomètre de Six-Fours-les-Plages près de Toulon. Elle est formée par la réunion des îles de la Tour Fondue (en fait, « fendue ») à l'Ouest et Saint-Pierre ou de la Pinède à l'Est, reliées par des limons et des alluvions.
D'une superficie totale de 95 hectares environ, l'île des Embiez et constitue l'élément principal de l'archipel des Embiez. Sur les alluvions reliant la Tour fondue et Saint-Pierre ont été créés des marais salants dans lesquels, après la cessation de leur activité en 1937, a été creusé à partir de 1960 l'actuel port Saint-Pierre facilement accessible à partir du port du Brusc.
