Rafting en el río Pacuare. #8# Qué ver en Costa Rica
El rafting por el Rio Pacuare ha sido una de las experiencias más brutales de nuestro viaje por Costa Rica. Todo fue espectacular: la adrenalina del descenso por el río, los rápidos, las cataratas, la comida y el paisaje en general. ¡¡Incluso vimos algún perezoso durmiendo en los árboles!! Nosotros escogimos este rafting por el río Pacuare porque nos lo recomendó Carlos de Top Trails Corcovado. La empresa con la que lo hicimos se llama Tico's River y la verdad es que todo fue estupendo. Esta empresa está en el pueblo de Turrialba, con lo que buscamos alojamiento por aquí y salimos desde Turrialba con el transfer que te incluía la actividad. Una vez llegamos al río, tras 3 horas remando con los instructores y disfrutando del rafting, paras a comer en mitad de la naturaleza y luego llegas a Siquirres en donde te espera el transfer para volver a Turrialba (donde debes haber dejado tu coche de alquiler).
Existen muchas otras empresas y zonas en las que hacer rafting en Costa Rica, sin embargo, el rafting del río Pacuare es uno de los más largos del mundo con 23 kilómetros de recorrido. Además, se trata de una zona nada turística a diferencia de otras partes de Costa Rica como puede ser Volcán Arenal o Volcán Tenorio.
Finalmente, nuestro viaje por Costa Rica sigue con una noche más en San José en la que aprovechamos para visitar el centro y el mercado. Aunque en este video te lo mencionamos, no llegamos a hacer un siguiente video con consejos y visita a San José. Todos los detalles y tips para viajar a Costa Rica según nuestra experiencia lo encontrarás en nuestro blog.

PUERTO VIEJO de Talamanca | The BEST beaches in Costa Rica
Puerto Viejo was our favorite stop in Costa Rica. The beaches were so beautiful and the people so friendly. Our favorite beach was Punta Uva with the soft white sand. While Puerto Viejo is not the easiest place to get to, it was definitely worth the bus drive. After hearing howler monkeys all day long we finally spotted some playing in the trees. It was our first monkey sighting of the trip but most certainly not the last.

Costa Rica Rundreise ???? 10 Stunden horror Busfahrt
Während unserer Costa Rica Rundreise haben wir ausschließlich die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel benutzt und sind so einmal quer durchs Land gereist. Eigentlich hat das auch immer alles ganz gut funktioniert. Man musste ab und zu mal den Bus wechseln, aber wir kamen immer relativ schnell an unserem Ziel an.
Als wir von Samara nach Domenical reisen wollten, schauten wir uns die Route vorher an. 315 km... wir hätten mit 5 - 6 Stunden gerechnet. Aber das wir Domenical erst nach 10 Stunden erreichen werden, hätten wir vorher nicht gedacht. Und als ob das noch nicht genug wäre, hat es wie aus Eimern geschüttet, als wir in Domenical ankamen.
Aber es gibt definitiv schlimmeres und es war auf jeden Fall ein kleines Abenteuer.

Good morning guys, today we're in Puerto Viejo exploring the beautiful Caribbean side of Costa Rica. I'm with Ernesto, the general manager of Caribe Fun Tours because today we're going to explore Cahuita National Park and go hiking through the area. So Ernesto can you just tell us a little bit about the tour that we're going to do today.
Yes, today you're going to go on a very exciting tour to the national park with our local guide Luis. You're going in probably about an hour and a half or so down to the main point of the park, you'll get some great shots of the beach from there, you'll get some great shots of some animals. Then after that you'll have a chance to have some local fruit, which will be prepared by your guide Luis. Then you'll head off to a waterfall and depending on the rain and water level, people can actually go swimming and refresh in there and also get some great photos of the waterfall.
OK so sounds like a fun day so let's go!
We’ve been walking for about thirty minutes, we’ve already seen a ton of wildlife, there’s actually a really nice path that goes along the beach through the national park so it’s really easy to walk
We’ve seen sloths, monkeys, iguanas so far, we should see quite a few more, it’s a really beautiful day, it’s really nice because it’s under the canopy so it’s nice and cool. This is a beautiful national park, definitely visit Cahuita when you’re in Puerto Viejo
We just finished the walk in Cahuita National Park, it was amazing and now we’re going to cool off at some of the waterfalls nearby

In the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, there is a protected zone of incomparable beauty that begins near the town of Siquirres and covers approximately 25,000 acres as it descends down the Talamanca Mountain Range. Deep inside this protected zone, perched on the banks of its enchanting Pacuare River, lies the singular Pacuare Lodge. You can arrive to the lodge either by river or by land, or a combination of the two. Arrival by river takes you along scenic class III rapids, and departure by riverallows you to experience the magnificence of this zone’s canyons and primary rainforest, via class III and IV rapids. You may also plan your arrival by ground transportation through impressive scenery and cross the river on a hanging gondola.

Barra Parismina (Jalova) Costa Rica - My Next Ride EP4
En este episodio de My Next Ride nos fuimos para el atlántico de Costa Rica, en la provincia de Limón, específicamente a Barra Parismina Jalova. Nos fuimos a pescar Robalo, uno de los pescados más cotizados de la zona por su buen tamaño pero sobre todo su exquisito sabor.
Aprovechamos para andar en bote por la zona, conocer los canales y con la esperanza que nunca se pierde de ver un jaguar, ya que en la zona ha habido avistamientos con regularidad, aunque principalmente en la época de desove de tortugas. Aunque sí vimos varios monos congos además de cocodrilos a la orilla del río
Esta es una zona de bosque virgen ideal para desconectarse, comúnmente visitada por la comunidad de pesca por su gran potencial.
Esmeralda Lodge es un lugar rústico, lo que lo hace ideal para quedarse, ya que cuenta con todos los servicios y su paquete incluye comida, la cual es exquisita.

Lessons from Limón | Costa Rica Travel Film
My first time in Costa Rica was largely spent in Limón, one of the country’s seven provinces located on the country's Caribbean coast. Limón is a paradisiacal, natural region characterized by rainforests, mountains, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Fun fact: Costa Rica is actually home to more than 95,000 registered species, which is more than 6% of the known species or biodiversity in the world.
I was on a press trip organized by the Costa Rica tourism board, so we experienced a broad range of activities and accommodations across our one-week trip through Limón. We learned to make cocoa with the Indigenous BriBri community, rode a gyroplane, and watched wildlife just after sunrise — among other things.
Near the end of our travels, I asked Briona — the writer on the trip with me — if she wanted to collaborate on creating a video together. She wrote and recorded the voiceover, and I combined it with the footage I had shot to create the short travel video you see here.
