For my 21st birthday weekend, I decided to treat myself to a trip on the Eurostar, from London to Belgium and check out a few locations I've wanted to go to for some time!
There are 4 locations in this video: Gare de Silly, Halle, Ruisbroek & Brussels Midi!
All locations were great, and with beautiful scenery and a decent amount of traffic. Ruisbroek and Midi were probably the best out of the 4 locations because there was more going on compared to the others!
But all in all, an amazing trip! It was nice to see the Eurostar class 373s!
I don't know much about the types of trains in Belgium but, this video includes:
Eurostar: 373 'e300' & 374 'e320' | SNCB | TGV | Thalys.

A newly married couple from Nashville, TN, we decided that instead of starting our marriage the “normal” way by getting an apartment and launching our careers, we wanted to live a little differently. After our study abroad trip got cut short in 2020 (can you guess why?), we were left with an unshakable desire to get back and explore the world. What to See in Central Europe: 10-14 Day Itinerary
A great tour of central Europe really can take you many places, but our suggested itinerary for a central european tour starts in Budapest, Hungary, then heads to Vienna, Austria, with a day trip to Bratislava, Slovakia. Then you have options. If you have time you can visit Salzburg, Austria & Munich, Germany and then Finish off in Prague, The Czech Republic. If you do not have a lot of time then the top three are Budapest, Vienna and Prague.

High Speed Trains at Silly, HSL 1 & Line 94 - 10/05/17
Video: An afternoon spotting high speed and stopper trains at Silly station/Gare de Silly in Belgium, the point at which Belgian railway line 94 & HSL 1 (from Lille to Brussels Midi) run parallel to each other and intersect. I filmed from the bridge by the station and on a steep gradient by the HSL 1 lineside, both of which gave great views.
For such a quiet and peaceful area, there were quite a few stopper services with SNCB/NMBS running trains from Brussels Airport to Tournai. As for high speed traffic on HSL 1, there were plenty of Thalys TGVs running to/from Paris, Lille, Cologne & Amsterdam etc. and a few SNCF TGVs & Eurostar 373 TMSTs about too. On top of that this was my first ever time seeing Thalys' low cost IZY high speed service which operates from Brussels to Paris, which was pretty exciting.
Overall this was a very enjoyable spot, this is an area I had been longing to visit or spot at for years, and I hope to go back in the future.
Back in May when this was filmed my tripod was a bit stiff and rusted, so apologies for some of the clucking sounds, I did my best to edit the noisiest parts out.

Why Nancy Is Scrapping Its Magically Bonkers Monorail-Bus-Trams
In 1999, the eastern French city of Nancy decided to replace its ageing trolleybuses with an experimental new type of tram: the TVR. It was just like a normal tram, except it had rubber wheels, only one rail, and if wanted, it could run off the rail completely and turn into a bus. Basically, it was brilliant. So why are they getting rid of it?
