Today, in this travel guide, we’re going to be visiting Cordoba and sharing 15 things to do in Argentina's second-largest city! Cordoba city doesn’t get a huge number of international visitors in comparison to other more popular destinations, but it is located right in the middle of the country making it an ideal gateway for exploring much of Argentina. We recently spent a few days in the city, so in this video, we’re going to show you what you can do with 3 days in Cordoba.
Together we’ll explore the colonial architecture, we’ll walk through Jesuit ruins that once lay forgotten beneath the city, we’ll explore the oldest university in the country, stumble upon beautiful courtyards in full bloom, and we’ll also do our fair share of cafe and restaurant hopping.

In Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego there are numerous species of animals and flora that are not found in other areas of South America: in the Valdes Peninsula you can see lions and elephant seals, penguins and, at certain times of the year, whales. The official language of Argentina is Spanish. The dialect spoken in Argentina is known as Rioplatense Spanish and has some distinct features.

Flying from Buenos Aires to Córdoba + Relaxing in the Mountains | Sierras of Córdoba, Argentina
Come join us for another travel vlog in Argentina flying from Buenos Aires to Córdoba where we end up setting in the Sierras of Cordoba to relax for a few days. After spending several action packed days in Buenos Aires it was time to continue our Argentina adventure in the Sierras of Cordoba. We ended up catching an early morning flight from Buenos Aires to Cordoba and then taking a scenic drive through the countryside and mountains before we arrived at our cabin.
We give you a full cabin tour including some guest appearances from friendly pets and other wild animals. We'll be using this as a base to explore La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano in future episodes. We hope you'll join us for more adventures in Cordoba coming very soon!

Flying from Buenos Aires to Córdoba + Relaxing in the Mountains | Sierras of Córdoba, Argentina:
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.
Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

Visiting a Tiny ALPINE VILLAGE with 30 Inhabitants in CORDOBA, Argentina ⛰️
Today we're taking you on a little day trip to a tiny alpine village in the sierras of Cordoba. How tiny, you ask? It has a population of 30!
The town of Villa Alpina, whose name literally translates to Alpine Village, is a small community that can be reached via a winding dirt road 18 kilometres off the main road. The drive is an adventure in and of itself and we made plenty of stops along the way to enjoy the views and try to lure the cows from their pastures with our off-key singing...it didn't really work.
This town is best known as the starting point for hiking Cerro Champaquí, which stands 2,790 metres above sea level and is the highest peak in the province of Cordoba. We didn't come here to hike on this visit (that's another adventure for a future trip), however, we did have a nice day exploring this sleepy mountain town, cooling down in the river, and trying to befriend all the local sheep and goats.
This is a pretty relaxed vlog, but we wanted to share the views with you and give you a taste of the laidback vibe here in the sierras.

Ecuador is one of the most diverse countries in the world though it's comparably tiny. Beside the Galapagos Islands (which is the #1 tourist destination in Ecuador) the country has a lot more to offer, therefore I focussed on La Sierra in this video which is a paradise for landscape lovers and outdoor adventurers.
Another reason to visit the Andean region is that you have the chance to dive into the local culture and get a real feeling of Ecuador. The places to see in Ecuador I focussed on in this short video are the result of my own travels along the center from north to south and are easily doable in 2 weeks time.

Our SOUTH AMERICA TRIP ???? | Travelling ARGENTINA, URUGUAY & CHILE: 3 Months Across 3 Countries! ✈️
So the very last international trip we went on before things got crazy in 2020 was a #backpacking adventure in #SouthAmerica. 3 months, 3 countries: Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. What did we get up to, you ask?
Well, we kicked things off with a brief stay in Buenos Aires, the most logical place to start the trip. Here we took a chance and accepted a kind invitation from strangers to go sailing, we indulged hard on all the foods we had been craving, and as always made time to get together with family.
We then continued to Cordoba, where we lived the slow life. We made friends with sheep and tried using song to lure the cows from their pastures. We splashed around rivers, hiked through alpine towns, shared the road with goats, and also got our hands dirty. There’s a magnetism to these sierras that’s kind of hard to put into words.
Next up was Tucumán where we drove up to subtropical jungles, shared the road with cows, zig-zagged up mountain passes, and watched the landscape turn to desert. We drove down dirt roads in search of Pre-Columbian ruins, we got friendly with a pig, uncomfortably close with a llama, and we saw lots of cacti.
In Salta, we lived the good life. We wined and dined our way across Cafayate, hopping from winery to vineyard, and then in the city of Salta, we couldn’t help but admire the colonial architecture in its soft pastel shades.
We then continued further north to Jujuy, the northernmost province in Argentina. We saw colours we didn’t know could be found in nature, and played with optical illusions on the salt flats. We walked through a fiery canyon, pulled over at roadside attractions, felt faint at altitudes of over 4000 meters above sea level, and still we kept going.
After exploring the north, we hopped on a flight to Buenos Aires, and then a ferry to Uruguay, the second smallest country in South America. Here we were charmed by the cobbled streets of Colonia, enjoyed the cool shade of its tree-lined avenues, walked the fortifications, watched a spectacular sunset over the River Plate, and tried their famed national dish: chivito. We also made our way to the capital of Montevideo, where we enjoyed the plazas and surrounding architecture, strolled along the beach, and discovered that Uruguay loves asado just as much as their neighbours across the river.
After saying goodbye to my dad at the airport, Sam and I hopped on a southbound flight. Onwards to Patagonia!
First up was the province of Rio Negro where we met up with friends who feel like family. We got to see the sweetest dog who still remembered us from a previous visit, we planned day trips, broke down on the side of the road, and still had the best time ever. We drank mate, we went to parties, we ate meat with our bare hands and drank wine out of a leather bag, we laughed until the early hours of the morning, and fell a bit more in love with Patagonia.
Then, we crossed over to Chubut, where we visited Comodoro Rivadavia, a city that struck it big with oil. It’s not exactly geared towards tourists, but we had fun strolling the waterfront, feasting on seafood, and we even went on a day trip to the neighbouring beach town of Rada Tilly.
We then hopped on another bus and continued even further south to the province of Santa Cruz. In El Calafate, we toured estancias, danced in an ice bar and even found flamingos. But my favourite day was the boat excursion where we came face to face with glaciers and icebergs. There are just no words for the majesty of this place. It simply moves you to tears… I quite literally found myself crying on deck as we cruised past these frozen giants...
We continued to El Chalten where the mountains made hikers out of us. We were brought down to our knees at Laguna de Los Tres and we saw how quickly the weather can turn at Cerro Torre. We hiked, and we hobbled, and we walked and we grumbled, but the mountains kept us going forward. Just one more kilometre we told ourselves, until we could barely make it back into town and we’d collapse into bed.
We then crossed over to Chile by bus. In Torres del Paine we battled winds like we’ve never experienced before, we wandered into a cave in search of a prehistoric creature, we climbed into replicas of 16th-century seafaring ships, and explored the town of Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas.
And that brings us to our last stop: Ushuaia. What can I say about reaching the end of the world? Well, it was surprisingly not as lonely or isolated as I imagined it would be. Complete strangers took us in for the holidays and taught us to barbecue the Fueguino way, we got our passports stamped and sent postcards from the southernmost post office on the continent, we reached the end of the road (quite literally), hiked through bewitching forests and rode a train that once carried prisoners, because did you know Ushuaia started out as a penal colony?!
Looking back it all feels like a dream. These were our 3 months of #travel across Argentina, Uruguay & Chile.

Imágenes 4k recorriendo Sierra Grande, ciudad del sudeste de la provincia de Río Negro, Argentina, dentro del departamento San Antonio.
Se ubica a la altura del km 1250 de la ruta Nacional 3, que la vincula hacia el norte con San Antonio Oeste y Viedma-Carmen de Patagones y hacia el sur con Puerto Madryn. Se encuentra recostada sobre la vertiente oriental del faldeo de las sierras, que la protegen de los vientos del sudoeste, a una altitud media de 250 msnm. Sobre la costa, a unos 28 km, se encuentra el balneario Playas Doradas.
Las montañas que rodean la zona fueron utilizadas como camino y asiento de los Tehuelches, que habitaban la zona antes de la colonización hispana. Tras el avance de la desertificación de la zona, los indígenas se movieron de su asentamiento sobre el arroyo El Salado hacia el nordeste de Chubut.
Hacia el año 1944 se descubrió el Yacimiento de Hierro de Sierra Grande. Luego de años de exploración del suelo en el año 1969 comenzó a desarrollarse la explotación de la mina.
Luego de muchos años de trabajo y tratativas, la zona creció económicamente al igual que el yacimiento. Ya contaba con Plantas de Preconcentrado, Concentrado, Ferroducto, talleres de mantenimiento, un área industrial y embarcadero. La mina se encuentra actualmente cerrada.
A unos 50 km de Sierra Grande, sobre la costa marítima, se encuentra el Complejo Islote Lobos, un área protegida que abarca unas 4000 ha, gran parte de ellas de carácter marítimo.
A unos 80 km hacia el oeste de la localidad se encuentra la Meseta de Somuncurá, una extensa formación basáltica precámbrica, de alrededor de 1.600.000 hectáreas de características paisajísticas particulares.

We Went Riding with GAUCHOS for 3 Days ????⛰️ | Horse Trekking in Cordoba's SIERRAS CHICAS, Argentina
We spent 3 days riding with gauchos across a mountain range and it was epic! In this video, we'll share our horse trekking adventure that took us across the Sierras Chicas mountain range and back. We crossed from Agua de Oro to Villa Giardino visiting different estancias along the way.
Over the course of the trek, we picnicked next to rivers, enjoyed the beautiful autumn colours, tried the local beverage of choice, learned more about the gaucho way of life, and feasted on a traditional Argentine barbecue.
We booked this excursion with Salvador Gimenez, who has a family business and offers horse treks in this part of the province of Cordoba. We spent the first night at his ranch before hitting the trails and making our way up the mountains. He also offers 1-day excursions if you're looking for something a little less challenging!

Sierra de los Padres es una localidad del partido de General Pueyrredón, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
En principio se relacionó a esta localidad con un área restringida similar a un barrio residencial, pero la población estable comenzó a requerir mayor identidad. Fue así como a lo largo de los años se fue pujando por identificar a la zona con un nombre en común e incluir a todos los barrios que ella la componen. De tal forma lo que a priori se llamó barrio residencial mutó su nombre por Barrio Ciudad Jardín, más conocido como el arco, y el nombre madre de Sierra de los Padres pasó a ser de toda una comunidad que integra muchos más barrios. Desde Laguna de los Padres, Colina de los Padres, El Coyunco, Las 4 esquinas, La Gloria de la Peregrina, El Paraíso, Villa María del Mar, Colinas Verdes, El Dorado y toda la zona rural, componen el conglomerado de Sierra de los Padres en el que se estima, luego de un estudio realizado de medidores funcionando todo el año, en una población estable y permanente de aproximadamente 30.000 personas. Si bien el Municipio de General Pueyrredón, al cual pertenece, no reconoce a Sierra de los Padres como una localidad más, al igual que Mar del Plata y Batán, los vecinos siguen exigiendo la identidad de ciudad que les permita progresar y tener servicios esenciales como hospital, bancos y administración, que no requieran trasladarse hasta Mar del Plata para ser atendidos.
Historia.
El 3 de noviembre de 1746, los padres jesuitas José Cardiel, Tomás Falkner, Matías Strobel, Gerónimo Rejón y Manuel Querini llegan a la Laguna de las Cabrillas (hoy Laguna de los Padres) y fundan la Misión de Nuestra Señora del Pilar del Volcán, detalle toponímico por el cordón montañoso de Tandilia, pasa por Balcarce continúa en la Sierra de los Padres y se interna en el Mar Argentino en Cabo Corrientes. Hallaron la zona poblada por pueblos originarios de diversas etnias, llamados pampas o serranos, comandados por el cacique Cangapol. El cacique Cangapol era quien más combatía a la Misión, que contaba con gran cantidad de toldos. Los indios reclamaban yerba, tabaco y géneros, al no conseguirlos acrecentaban los ataques, lo que llevó al despoblamiento de la misma en 1751.
En 1751 Los jesuitas abandonan la misión. Durante esos años dejaron documentados usos, costumbres y lenguas aborígenes que recopilaron luego el P. J.Labrador y Guillermo Furlong.
1826: se crea la Estancia Laguna de los Padres, allí se instala, siendo un niño, José Hernández el creador del Martín Fierro; permaneciendo con su padre más de una década, deduciéndose que partes de la obra máxima de la literatura tradicional argentina se gestaron allí.
El Barrio Residencial o Ciudad jardín fue creada el 6 de enero de 1950 por la firma ALFRANCO cuyos titulares y visionarios fueron los hermanos Cobos y Roberto Bonzo.
