Siemianowice Śląskie also known as Siemianowice is a city in Upper Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice, in its central district in the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union - a metropolis with a population of 2 million people and is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Brynica river (tributary of the Vistula).
It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously in Katowice Voivodeship, and before then in the Autonomous Silesian Voivodeship. Siemianowice is one of the cities of the 2.7 million conurbation, the Katowice urban area, at the heart of the greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the city is 66,963 (2019). Siemianowice Śląskie borders four cities: Piekary Śląskie, Chorzów, Czeladź and the voivodeship capital Katowice.

W tej dzielnicy mieści się rynek miejski wraz z zabytkowym ratuszem oraz wiele obiektów i terenów przemysłowych, między innymi: pozostałości po Hucie Jedność, Kopalni węgla kamiennego Siemianowice, Piaskowni czy Hucie Szkła Wanda oraz tereny Srokowca (położone bliżej granicy z Katowicami). Oprócz terenów przemysłowych i typowo miejskich, dzielnica posiada kilka parków: Pszczelnik, Miejski i Hutnika, także w tej dzielnicy częściowo leży Lasek Bytkowski.

Będzin is a city in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, southern Poland. It lies in the Silesian Highlands, on the Czarna Przemsza river. Even though part of Silesian Voivodeship, Będzin belongs to historic Lesser Poland, and it is one of the oldest towns of this province. Będzin is regarded as the capital of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie.
It has been situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999. Before 1999, it was located in Katowice Voivodeship (1975–1999). Będzin is one of the cities of the 2.7 million person conurbation - Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the city itself as of June 2021 is 55,542.
Będzin is located 12 km (7 mi) from Katowice and 4 km (2 mi) from the center of Sosnowiec. Together with Sosnowiec, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Czeladź, Wojkowice, Sławków and Siewierz it makes Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, a highly industrialized and densely populated part of western Lesser Poland. Będzin borders the cities of Sosnowiec, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Czeladź, Siemianowice Śląskie, and Wojkowice, as well as the village of Psary.

Chropaczów is a district in the north-east of Świętochłowice, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. In 2013 it had a population of 12,589 people.
Chropaczów - After Silesian Wars the area became a part of the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1826 it was bought by Carl Lazarus Henckel von Donnersmarck. It was later industrialized. In 1879 the Lipiny Vorwerk became a separate municipality. In 1909 the municipality was renamed to Schlesiengrube, after a local coal mine.
After World War I in the Upper Silesia plebiscite 3,633 (including 1039 in Gutsbezirk) out of 5,423 voters (1480 in Gutsbezirk) in Schlesiengrube (Gemeinde and Gutsbezirk) voted in favour of joining Poland, against 1,784 opting for staying in Germany. Afterwards it became a part of Silesian Voivodeship, Second Polish Republic. It was then annexed by Nazi Germany at the beginning of World War II. After the war it was restored to Poland. The municipality of Chropaczów was amalgamated into Świętochłowice on 17 March 1951.

Bytom is one of the oldest cities in the Upper Silesia, and the former seat of the Piast dukes of the Duchy of Bytom. Until 1532, it was in the hands of the Piast dynasty, then it belonged to the Hohenzollern dynasty. After 1623 it was a state country in the hands of the Donnersmarck family. From 1742 to 1945 the town was within the borders of Prussia and Germany, and played an important role as an economic and administrative centre of the local industrial region. Until the outbreak of World War II, it was the main centre of national, social, cultural and publishing organisations fighting to preserve Polish identity in Upper Silesia. In the interbellum and during World War II, local Poles and Jews faced persecution by Germany.

In Lipiny, since the 19th century, there was the Silesia Steelworks, which processed zinc; before World War II, Lipiny had one of the highest levels of air pollution in Europe; it is still an ecologically degraded area because of the industry operating in the area until recently, mainly the Silesia Steelworks.

W Bańgowie, dzielnicy Siemianowic Śląskich, znajduje się rozległy cmentarz żołnierzy niemieckich, którzy polegli na ziemiach południowej Polski podczas II wojny światowej. Cmentarz został otwarty w 1998 roku, a jego organizacją zajmował się federalny Niemiecki Związek Opieki nad Grobami Wojennymi. Cmentarz żołnierzy niemieckich w Siemianowicach Śląskich oddano do użytku publicznego w 2006 roku. Grunt na terenie północnej dzielnicy miasta, Bańgowa, podarowały władze samorządowe. Przeniesiono na to miejsce prochy około 28 tysięcy żołnierzy, które ekshumowano z miejsc pochówku w województwach: małopolskim, świętokrzyskim, śląskim i łódzkim. Na wystrój cmentarza składają się m.in. proste, kamienne krzyże oraz takież obeliski z wyrytymi nazwiskami żołnierzy, a także nazwami miejscowości, w których ekshumowano ich szczątki.

#Nikiszowiec – zabytkowe osiedle, do którego można wybrać się na spacer w weekend, bo można tutaj zobaczyć zanikającą już architekturę na Śląsku. Budynki, uliczki czy zakamarki świetnie nadają się do tego aby zrobić piękne zdjęcia. Oczywiście obowiązkowo trzeba wpaść do tutejszej kawiarni na kawę i ciastko :-). Osiedle to, podobnie jak Giszowiec, znajduje się na Szlaku Zabytków Techniki Województwa Śląskiego.
