Just a few clips from our trip to Siaton, Neg Oriental which is like 1and half hour or 2-hour trip from the city proper Dumaguete City.

Kookoo's Nest Beach Resort offers some cottages so you and you family or friends can stay for nights or you can visit them as walk in customers.

We stayed overnight and the following day after breakfast we walk for 10 minutes to go to a cliff :)

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING MANJUYOD SANDBAR:
- Manjuyod Sandbar is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Dumaguete Airport
- CHECK tide schedule before arriving. This is very important. You can only visit during low tide.
- Hire a boat for 3,500 pesos or around $65, so if you’re on a budget go in a group.
- Like many boat trips in the Philippines, you can show up to the wharf and wait for others to groups to arrive to share a cost.
- You can also go on a tour.
- It is best to visit the Bais Tourism Office before hand to book a tour.
- If you go solo or with a group, bring your own food and drinks, there are no restaurants or public bathrooms
- You can rent the cottages for the night for 6,000 Pesos or less than $120 USD.
- It has become relatively internet famous lately because people started calling it the Maldives of The Philippines, however this is not a five-star resort.

Siaton is a very beautiful and tranquil place, the scenic views give me relaxation and peace of mind. We went to Siaton for the second time and we were able to visit Punta de Bera, a newly-opened restaurant and beach resort. The staff was warm and accomodating, and the food was affordable. Punta de Bera is a good place to unwind with your friends and loved ones. The best part of this trip was the golden sunset in Panaon Cliff. It has been a long dream of mine to climb the cliff and see the sunset. Unfortunately it was the last, because when we went down we realized that people were not allowed to climb that cliff anymore. If you are in Negros Oriental please don't forget to visit Siaton. You'll surely fall in love with the place.
