Exploring a farmers market in China. I recorded this video in Yichang City in Hubei province on a working day's morning. A lot of people were around to buy food and at times the narrow streets got really packed. As you can see in the video, there's plenty of things to buy in this farmers market. The locals like to come here because the products offered are fresh and taste the best.
There are many reasons why people like to come here. Farmers markets in China usually get their food from the surrounding area. So the money spent goes directly into the pockets of the local farmers. Also, the goods sold in farmers markets in China usually are cheaper than in the super market.
Another reason to visit this place: The variety of food is amazing. There are 1000s of different spices, vegetables, fruits, and other things.
I like going there because farmers markets in China are one of the best locations to experience daily life in China. There's so much to see and so many food stalls and places to check out. So I can highly recommend to you to do the same and visit a farmers market in China if you have the chance.

I travelled in China from Hangzhou to Guangzhou, for a project meeting.China southern Airlines was the carrier and their economy class seat was excellent..I informed my AVML requirementsto the airhostess just as the plane was about to start.They burst into laughter and served the first meal to me!!.To my surprise it wasn't canned fruits as i expected ,(because of the meal request in rhe last minute ).But I had a hearty meal of boiled rice with a wonderful vegetable gravy..Can someone point out the name of this green coloured, pine cone shaped vegetable, held in my spoon?..Its one of the most delicious veggies, i've ever tasted in my life..Is itt availble in Australia?!
