Perched on top of a granite hillock in the midst of a vast expanse of the Aravalli Range, surrounded by hills dotted with havelis, villages and temples, Alila Fort Bishangarh is legendary amongst heritage hotels in Jaipur for the adaptive reuse of a 230-year-old warrior fort into one of India’s most unique heritage properties.
The design concept embraces elements of Jaipur Gharana architecture, featuring Rajput and Mughal influences. Rather than creating an ornate palace, as might be expected of a Rajasthani heritage property, the design direction is decidedly stark and spartan, marked by clean and uncluttered interiors judiciously woven with Rajasthani elements – Jharokha-style windows, stone Jaali work, brass embossed panels, Tarkashi (the craft of brass wire designs inlaid in wood), hand block printed fabric, old-style doors and wall frescoes with Thikri mirror work. Local marble, granite, carpets, fabrics, artefacts, lighting and furniture all contribute to authenticate its adaptive reconstruction.

WE SLEPT IN A 230 YEAR OLD FORT ???????????? Alila Fort Bishangarh near Jaipur India | 197 Countries, 3 Kids
Hey, guys! Have you ever stayed in a fort or a castle? Well, we did, and where else, if not in India?!
In this video, we are partnering with the unique Fort Alila Bishangarh hotel and taking you along with us for an incredible experience!
Even though it was less than 90 mins outside Jaipur, getting to Alila Fort Bishangarh felt like we were driving in the middle of nowhere. But boy, oh boy, did things change once we arrived at our destination!
As we approached the entrance, we were struck by the beauty and magnificence of the place. The fort was perched atop a hill, and the surrounding landscape was simply breathtaking. As we stepped inside, we were warmly greeted and escorted to our suites.
The suites took our breath away! Spacious, comfortable, extremely clean, and full of little surprises - they were more and better than we could imagine!
By the time we took in all that beauty in, it was already dinner hours, so we found our way to the Fort Alila Restaurant, where the food was spicier than what we had in the South of India.
We heard music coming from down below in the courtyard, and obviously, we had to check it out. We ended up immersed in the romantic atmosphere of Alila Fort Bishangarh and danced the night away.
The next morning, we were treated to a traditional breakfast at the fort before embarking on a grand tour of the hotel.
Fort Alila Bishangarh was built in 1768 and has been recently restored and converted into a luxury hotel by the Alila Hotels and Resorts Group. The architectural style of the fort is a blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal styles, with influences from the local Shekhawati region.
The design of the fort features spacious courtyards, beautiful arches, and intricate carvings accompanied by a beautifully decorated interior with antique furniture, luxurious textiles, and stunning artwork.
We were shown around the fort and learned about its rich history and significance. When partnering with hotels, we are never sure of what surprises await us when we arrive. In this instance, we experienced a thrilling jeep safari and visited a local family home near the Fort.
That evening, we had an exclusive private dinner at Fort Alila Bishangarh, which was a truly magical experience.
The next morning, before heading out, we relaxed by the pool, and Chantal even enjoyed a massage in the dungeon!
The hospitality at Fort Alila Bishangarh was exceptional, and we felt pampered and taken care of the entire time.. As our journey came to an end, we said goodbye to Fort Alila Bishangarh, grateful for the unforgettable experiences we had.

NH 48 is a National Highway of India that starts at Delhi and terminates at Chennai, traversing through six states of India- Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
It has a total length of 2807 km (1744 mi).
Its stretch from Delhi to Mumbai was earlier designated NH 8 and the stretch between Mumbai and Chennai was designated NH 4 before all the national highways were officially renumbered in the year 2010.
It is a 4-lane highway(6-lane in most parts of Gujarat and between Delhi-Jaipur). According to estimates, it is the busiest highway in the subcontinent, as it connects the national capital Delhi and the financial capital Mumbai, as well as important cities Gurgaon, Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.
The highway is part of the Golden Quadrilateral project undertaken by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and was the first section to be completed. The Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, Jaipur-Kishangarh Expressway, and NE-1 (Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway) are part of NH 48.

Viratnagar (Bairath), the capital of ancient Matsya Pradesh, is a historically important place because of the following reasons :
According to the Mahabharat, Pandava brothers spent agyatwas (13th year of exile) in the kingdom of Matsya Naresh Virat.
It was the venue for the parleys initiated to avoid the war between Pandavas and Kauravas. The King Virat used to act as a peacemaker during these parleys.
Pandu Caves at Bhim Ki Dungari (Pandu Hill) :
Bhim Ki Dungari is a large cave, located in Virat Nagar and is famous due to the mythological tales associated with it. It is believed that, after losing everything to the Kauravas, the Pandavas were forced to go to exile for 12 years and an additional one year of disguised banishment. During the 13th year (Agyatwas), the Pandavas lived in disguise in Virat Nagar, the kingdom of King Virat. Bhim, the strongest of the five brothers chose to live in this cave and hence named as Bhim ki Dungri.
You have to walk up to the main cave from the parking place. From the dungari, you get a bird’s eye view of the Viratnagar town and surroundings. A huge cave in the hill houses a statue of nandi and a shivling decorated with 12 faces of Shiva in black stone. Many other caves, which are believed to be used by the brothers of Pandava Bhim, are also located nearby.
The cave shelters found in the town are testimony to pre-historic communities.
Paawan Dham :
At the top of Bhim ki Dungri is the Hanuman temple established by Mahatma Ramchandra Veer. The most special thing about this temple is that here Lord Hanuman ji is worshiped as a human, not a Vaanar.
Ganesh Giri Temple :
The Ganesh Giri Temple is prominent tourist attractions of Virat Nagar. This temple is devoted to Lord Ganesha and is visited by a large number of devotees around the year. A small museum is located in the complex of the temple, which exhibits 170 articles of great architectural significance.

Alila fort is in itself is a complete property, located in bishangarh village, it's about 7 Kms from the highway, the property has very well taken care of
the shahpura royalty and merely any bigger changes are done with the structure of the fort, everything is very well preserved.
I have been to Alila fort multiple times and i never felt that this would my last trip. The property has close to 59 rooms but all indulged in luxury, it's not
only the rooms but the food also which will keep you hanging in here but that would be covered later in the episode, if i say that a leisure stay in jaipur
has been running in your minds then alila is worth to consider.
When i say leisure it includes multiple activities and that is where Alila stands out, choose from a wide array of activities which looks like a buffet but there is everything according to multiple tastes. Furthermore its a dream wedding destination as well, i have attached a link as well so that you can read about that even more.
Overall definitely come to the property and enjoy alila while giving them a chance to offer you a memoriable stay.

संत नारायण दास का जन्म वर्ष 1927 में राजस्थान के जयपुर जिले के शाहपुरा तहसील के गांव चिमनपुरा में ब्राह्मण घर में हुआ।
-वर्ष 1972 में राजस्थान के त्रिवेणी धाम में नारायण दास महाराज जी का देवलोकगमन हो गया।
-कहा जाता है नारायण दास जी बचपन में भयंकर बीमारी से पीडि़त थे।
-इस वजह से परिजन इनको गुरु शरण में छोड़ दिया।
-त्रिवेणी धाम के संत भगवान दास महाराज के वर्ष 1972 में देवलोकगमन के बाद नारायण दास की धाम के महंत के रूप में ताजपोशी हुई।
-नारायण दास के श्रद्धालु देशभर में हैं। देवलोकगमन की सूचना पर तडक़े तीन बजे से ही उनके अंतिम दर्शन की कतारें लग गई थीं।
-देशभर के घर-घर में राम नाम लिखने वाली पुस्तकें पहुंचाने का श्रेय भी नारायण दास महाराज को ही जाता है।
-इन्हें पदम् श्री अवार्ड से नवाजा गया था।

राजस्थान प्रान्त के जयपुर जिले का एक शहर है। इसका पुराना नाम बैराठ है। विराट नगर राजस्थान में उत्तर में स्थित है। यह नगरी प्राचीन मत्स्य राज की राजधानी रही है। चारो और सुरम्य पर्वतों से घिरे प्राचीन मत्स्य देश की राजधानी रहे विराटनगर में पुरातात्विक अवशेषों की सम्पदा बिखरी पड़ी है या भूगर्भ में समायी हुई है।
विराट नगर अरावली की पहाडियों के मध्य में बसा है। राजस्थान के जयपुर जिले में शाहपुरा के अलवर-जयपुर रोड के उत्तर-पूर्व की तरफ 25 किलोमीटर दूर विराट नगर कस्बा अपनी पौराणिक ऐतिहासिक विरासत को आज भी समेटे हुए हैं।
विराटनगर नाम से प्राय: लोगों को भ्रम हो जाता है। विराटनगर नामक एक क़स्बा नेपाल की सीमा में भी है। किन्तु नेपाल का विराट नगर, महाभारत कालीन विराटनगर नहीं है। महाभारतकालीन गौरव में आराध्यदेव भगवान श्री केशवराय का मंदिर,जिसमे 3 ही कृष्ण एवम् 3 ही विष्णु की प्रतिमाये स्थित है। 64 खम्बे व108 टोड़ी है। ये केशवराय मंदिर विश्व दर्शन के लिए महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थस्थल है।इस सम्बन्ध विराटनगर पौराणिक, प्रगेतिहासिक, महाभारतकालीन तथा गुप्तकालीन ही नहीं मुगलकालीन महत्वपूर्ण घटनाओ को भी अपने में समेटे हुए, राजस्थान के जयपुर और अलवर जिले की सीमा पर स्थित है विराटनगर में पौराणिक शक्तिपीठ, गुहा चित्रों के अवशेष, बोद्ध माथों के भग्नावशेष, अशोक का शिला लेख और मुगलकालीन भवन विद्यमान है। अनेक जलाशय और कुंड इस क्षेत्र की शोभा बढा रहे हैं। प्राकर्तिक शोभा से प्रान्त परिपूर्ण है। विराटनगर के निकट सरिस्का राष्ट्रीय व्याघ्र अभ्यारण, भर्तृहरी का तपोवन, पाण्डुपोल नाल्देश्वर और सिलिसेढ़ जैसे रमणीय तथा दर्शनीय स्थल लाखों श्रद्धालुओं और पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करते है। यहाँ के दर्शय दर्शनीय स्थलो में प्रसिद्ध श्रीकेश्वराय मंदिर नगर के मध्य आकर्षक का केंद्र है। जिसमे भगवान केशव एवम् विष्णु के साथ कोई देवी (शक्ति) नहीं है। भगवान केशव का जो रूप महाभारत में था। उसी स्वरूप में भगवन श्रीकृष्ण का मंदिर दर्शनीय है। जो विराटनगर पर्यटन नगरी में सुविख्यात है।
