Insadong Street is described by Visit Seoul Net as containing the ESSENCE OF KOREA as it is one street that still retains the essence of Korea for its is the home to Korean handicrafts, traditional tea, temple food, and many other things that would pop into one's mind when thinking about Korea. Although it is just one spot in Korea that tourists gravitate towards, it is a spot that carries the stories of the people in the past despite the inevitable changes to Insadong that have come with the changing of tides. For Barbara and I the best walk to take in Seoul on a Saturday was down Insadong Street or Insadong -gil in the famous Insadong district of Seoul. it is described by Korea be Inspired as one of the most memorable attractions in Seoul and represents the focal point of Korean traditional culture and crafts. Insa-dong Street stretches over 700 meters between the Anguk-dong Rotary and Tapgol Park (Jongno 2-ga). During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the street was dominated by Dohwawon, a place of study for painters. The area is still a center for the arts, and painters, craftsmen, and art lovers continue to set up shop along the narrow alleys, making it a unique place full of folk crafts, pottery, and paintings. The street offers rich opportunities for visitors to experience Korean traditional culture and arts. Various art events and festivals are regularly held along the street.
From Expensive Ceramics to Daily Use Items
Approximately 40% of Korean crafts are exchanged in Insa-dong. Some products even trace back to the Three Kingdom Period (57 B.C.-668 A.D.) The most popular items are Korean ceramics ranging in price from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars. Other items sold in Insa-dong include earthenware, calligraphy materials, antique furniture, hanji, hanbok, teas, souvenirs, and cute accessories. Nearby shops include cafés, restaurants, ateliers, and galleries specializing in a diversity of items.
Vehicles are not permitted on the street during weekends, making it more amenable for visitors to look around. Insa-dong is also close to other tourist attractions such as Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gyeongbokgung (the royal palace during the Joseon Dynasty).

[4K] Divorce Attorney Shin Filming Location Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul, South Korea
Shin Sung-han walks underneath Mojeon Bridge in Cheonggyecheon at night in episode 2 of K-drama 'Divorce Attorney Shin'. He stops in front of a public piano written on it in German. The meaning is “The silence between the notes is as important as the notes themselves.” He starts to play the piano like he played the piano in his concert a few years ago.
Cheonggyecheon Stream is an 11 km-long stream that runs through downtown Seoul. The stream starts from Cheonggye Square, a popular cultural arts venue, and passes under a total of 24 bridges before flowing into the Hangang River, with many attractions along the way.
The most popular spot is the Candle Fountain, which features the magnificent synchronicity of three different lighting fixtures and a four-meter-high, two-tiered waterfall.
When you are looking for refreshment and a variety of cultural experiences in Seoul, I'd like to recommend Cheonggye Square to you.

Today, I walked through Hyochang Park in the evening.
Hyochang Park spans Cheongpa-dong and Gongdeok-dong.
Hyochang Park was originally Hyochangwon as the tomb of King Jeongjo's first son, Prince Moon Hyo, who died at the age of five, and his mother Uibin Sung, who died a few months later.
Both tombs were forcibly relocated to Seosamneung, and their name became Hyochang Park.
Currently, there was tombs of Kim Gu, Lee Dong-nyeong, the head of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, Cho Seong-hwan, the chief of the military, and Chai-seok, the chief of the secretary, and the tombs of Bong-gil Lee, Bong-chang Lee, and Jeong-ki Baek.

Suwon to Seoul Ko-Rail Train after visiting Suwon HWASEONG
Today, we visited Suwon HWASEONG! Earlier in the day, we took a hike around the city walls, and it was a very good walk. Now, we head back to Seoul Central. Instead of the subway, we decided to try Ko-Rail, which would halve the journey time. Buying the tickets at Suwon station was quite easy, the counter staff understood English and could tell me what time the trains were coming.
