Highway from Munich to Tyrol │'Dinzler' Irschenberg - Thierbach - Schwaz / Tyrol, Austria
My way to Tyrol this year, 2017 took me directly from the Upper-Palatinate to Austria. Which road to take? Normally, when driving to Tyrol, you take the highway leading directly to Munich. In case you are scared of rush hours in busy cities like Munich, you better should take a direction guiding you through the outskirts of Munich and thus saving a lot of nerves.
After having passed Munich, we had our first major break at the 'Irschenberg'. It is a quite huge and popular service area for drinking coffee and having a good meal. Directly next to it, there is a coffee roasters called 'Dinzler'. You should have a look at it when being nearby because in that kind of snack bar/lunch restaurant you experience a special mixture between cozy beer garden atmosphere and elegant urban Munich chick. No matter, if you stop there for a refreshing drink, some lunch sandwiches or a coffee cake - the menu will make you to become quite indecisive what of order as everything on it just sounds so brilliant.
Anyway, we went on down the highway to Tyrol - down there, I've brought you some further pictures of the little village 'Thierbach', where I've shown you the video about the Hörbiger family. 'Thierbach' presents itself as a small place full of farms and green freshly looking meadows prospering in the summer sun. It's feels like being in a cozy smooth rural movie with typical regional background items - and it is indeed! So watch it and go on vacation!
