Scheveningen | The Dutch Beach | Part 1
Want to go to the sea? The Hague has that as well with Scheveningen. Its the most well known beach in the Netherlands and the one with the strongest tourist attraction. Not just fro people outside the Netherlands but also for the locals this is the place to go when the summer is in full swing.
Withing just 20 minutes from the city center you are at a spot with fresh air and if you are in luck the nice Dutch sun. A place that is always windy but has a pleasant vibe overall. Let me take you on a small walk around the boulevard in this 2 part super mini series to just give you the basic feel of this wonderful place.
Scheveningen (I know it can be hard to pronounce) is a place you should not skip if you do decide to visit The Netherlands in the summer or if you are paying a visit to The Hague. Just take your time to get there early in the morning where you can sit down in one of the many restaurants for a great breakfast with a great view. Yes it ain't something like the south of Spain but with a bit of imagination and good weather it does come close!

Scheveningen beach in The Hague ???????? The Netherlands
While plans where to go out earlier on this day, the ever changing weather had me going out until later in the afternoon where I visited Scheveningen Beach in The Hague - Den Haag. It was a very windy day but that apparently that's the norm around this area. Heading to the beach I was thinking if it was even worth it because of the time of day. Usually you would visit a beach much earlier in the day but thankfully I got a very nice sunset and the weather collaborated after all. I truly enjoyed my time at this location, if anything people watching at the beach can always be fun! Lots of things around the area where closed and while I thought it was because of the pandemic I was later told that it's mostly a summer hot spot and that the rest of the year lots of businesses are closed.
