Sceaux Cherry Blossoms Day Trip From Paris Vlog
Sceaux is a tiny town around 6 miles away from the heart of central Paris. Home to a gorgeous Château that was used as a backdrop for filming the Versailles TV series, the grounds of the Parc de Sceaux is home to one of the best cherry blossom orchards in the Paris region!
I recently visited the park a few times for picnics with my friends and we had an amazing time visiting the pink cherry blossom orchard, the white cherry blossom orchard, seeing all of the wisteria in Sceaux, and wandering around the Parc de Sceaux. A Visit to the Park Sceaux Paris - Parc De Sceaux
The Musée d'Ile-de-France opened in 1973 in the middle of the Domaine de Sceaux, and displays its collections in 4 prestigious settings. The Château du Second Empire displays the museum's collections on the history of Paris from the 17th century to the middle of the 20th century. The Orangery, an art gallery built at the end of the 17th century by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, holds sculptures of the Jardins de l’Epoque by Colbert. The Aurore pavilion, a magnificent garden pavilion from the 17th century, has a cupola painted by Charles Le Brun with dawn as his inspiration. Lastly, the renovated Ecuries de Colbert offers several services: a restaurant, shop, multimedia area and temporary exhibition room. Round off your visit with a stroll around the gardens designed by Le Nôtre.

The park of Sceaux , the whole of the domain of Sceaux, is property of the department of Hauts-de-Seine and its park extends over the territories of the communes of Sceaux and Antony .
The park was designed by André Le Nôtre in the late xvii th century at the request of Colbert and his son the Marquis of Seignelay . During the Revolution , through the speculations of the Bande Noire , the estate was looted, sold to a farmer, Jean François Hippolyte Lecomte, and the castle and the waterfalls were destroyed. A new castle was erected from 1856 by his daughter, Anne-Marie Lecomte-Stuart, married to the Duke of Treviso .
The area of the park is 181 hectares: 121 in the town of Sceaux , 60 in Antony .
Since 1937, the Château de Sceaux has housed the collections of the Île-de-France museum, renamed in 2013 as the museum of the departmental domain of Sceaux.
