The origins of Castelnuovo di Porto can be traced back to the history of the ancient city-state of Capena, capital of the Capenati, a flourishing Italic population that thrived north-west of the Tiber, before the advent of the Roman Empire.
Autochthonous culture underwent external contamination over time, above all by the Etruscans, the Latins and the Sabines. They spoke a language related to Faliscan.
The Capenate territory (Ager Capenas) extended along the right bank of the Tiber, bordering to the north with the Falisci, to the east with the Tiber and the Sabines, while to the southwest with the Etruscans of Veio.

Cala Maramozza, la spiaggia segreta | Lerici | La Spezia | Italy
La più a est delle 3 spiagge de La Caletta di Lerici situate tra le punte di Maralunga e Maramozza. Questa piccola spiaggia si trova alla fine di un piccolo fiordo, raggiungibile agevolmente in barca ma anche a piedi. Se decidete di arrivarci via terra, ricordate di portarvi un paio di stivali se non vi volete bagnare i piedi, perché il sentiero corre all'interno di un canale che in inverno porta molta acqua a mare. La spiaggia è molto piccola e in estate perlopiù ombreggiata. Guardando il mare sul lato sinistro una scogliera a picco la separa dal bosco mentre a destra, a nuoto, è possibile raggiungere la spiaggia centrale e quella più a ovest (quella col faraglione al centro della baia
Escursione La Spezia - Marinasco
Sentiero ad anello che da La Spezia, dal quartiere La Chiappa, porta a Marinasco.
Breve escursione di un'ora e mezzo che percorre antiche mulattiere ben tenute.

Italy Tuscany walk - Argentario, a trip to the Convent of the Passionist Fathers with captions.
This tour starts from Orbetello, continues to Punta Telegrafo for a visit to the Convent of the Passionist Fathers in Monte Argentario in Tuscany. This tour was filmed on August 01, 2021.
A cozy place but full of faith and poignant beauty. It was an oasis, a stronghold in the eighteenth century that allowed the order to defend itself from raids, malaria, plague.
The convent is the first created by St. Paul of the Cross in 1737 for the congregation of Passionist friars, a congregation that remembers and is inspired to mendicant orders like the Franciscans and Dominicans.
At the time the convent was built it was certainly a place where a hermit's life was led as the area at the foot of the Argentario affected by malaria.
Today, especially in summer, it is a place to meditate in an area of holidays and worldliness.
The panorama is unique and allows you to see the Orbetello lagoon, the Feniglia and the Giannella until you see Talamone to the north and Montalto di Castro to the south.
From the convent you can continue up to Monte Telegrafo.
The convent has a small shop where religious items and congregational-inspired publications as well as products such as the Argentarium herbal liqueur can be purchased.
A short distance away there is the refreshment point and the spring.The church of the convent is small with an elliptical plan with the portrait of the Madonna Regina dell'Argentario.

Desde aquí iré caminando hasta Vernazza.

Para los amantes del senderismo este es un lugar ideal. Puesto que se puede ir caminando desde un pueblo al otro. Hay buenos caminos para hacerlo como lo pueden ver.
For lovers of hiking this is an ideal place. Since you can walk from one town to the other. There are good ways to do it as you can see.
Si va a recorrer Cinque Terre en varios días lo ideal para alojarse es Génova. Queda al norte de Monterosso. O en La Spezia al sur de Riomaggiore.
If you are going to visit Cinque Terre in several days, the ideal place to stay is Genoa. It is north of Monterosso. Or in La Spezia south of Riomaggiore.
Desde aquí se puede apreciar el pueblo de Vernazza.

Un viaggio alla scoperta delle linee ferroviarie non elettrificate della Toscana. Tra Garfagnana (Lucca- Aulla Lunigiana) ed Empoli - Siena, nel video le riprese sono state girate a Pallerone (MS), Fivizzano - Gassano (MS), Granaiolo (FI), Certaldo (FI) e i materiali filmati sono vari: da ALn 668 ad ALn 663, da Minuetti a D445 con vetture MD, fino ad arrivare ai due D345 in doppia trazione simmetrica per il Kerakoll, treno merci a trazione diesel da Minucciano a S.Stefano di Magra. Buona visione!

A travel to discover not electified Tuscany railway lines with some movies between Aulla Lunigiana, Lucca, Empoli and Siena. We filmed lots of diesel trains such as ALn 663, ALn 668, Minuetto trains, D445 + MD coaches and a freight train with a double symmetrical traction of D345 from Minucciano to S.Stefano di Magra.
