The 24th flag on our car, the highest mountain (volcano) of Bolivia (Sajama), a village orchestra, lots of lama and some washboards…
Last week we completed the hardest physical challenge of our lives: summiting Huayna Potosi (6088m). This week we head direction one of the most famous landmark of Bolivia: the Uyuni Salt flats, Salar de Uyuni! We have been thinking of this place since even before setting foot on the Americas.
Not everything went as planned and our choice of road have not necessarily paid off as we hoped it would, but as usual the changes also created opportunities. We let you discover all of this.

SALAR DE UYUNI - DIA 2: VALLE DE LAS ROCAS, CANYON ANACONDA E MAIS (FT. FUI GOSTEI TRIPS)
No nosso segundo dia de travessia pelo Salar de Uyuni conhecemos diversos atrativos bem diferentes. Esse também foi nosso nono dia de viagem pelo Chile e Bolívia.
Acordamos bem cedo em Villamar, onde passamos a noite depois do primeiro dia de passeio, tomamos o café da manhã e nos preparaos para pegar a estrada e seguir para cada vez mais perto do Deserto de Sal.
Nossa primeira parada foi o Valle de Rocas, que não era tão longe de onde dormimos. Ali existem diversas esculturas de pedra moldadas pela natureza como, por exemplo a Taça da Copa do Mundo, que recebeu esse nome por lembrar muito o troféu.
O local é formado por lavas vulcânicas petrificadas. Mal conseguimos ver um pouquinho a taça e já começou a chover bastante. Nos abrigamos dentro do carro, pois não levamos tantas roupas impermeáveis e esperamos diminuir o volume d'água. Para nossa sorte, foi bem rápido, mas as nuvens carregadas ficaram presentes ao longo de todo o passeio.
Outra escultura que conhecemos, um pouco mais distante da Taça foi o Camelo de Pedra, pela semelhança grande com o animal. Dá pra tirar fotos bem legais ali, mas não é tão fácil quanto parece subir nas costas do camelo. Precisamos de algumas pessoas para ajudar na subida.
A terceira parada foi em um local chamado Itália Perdida, que tem esse nome pois lembra a região de Pompéia pelas formações rochosas. Ali fizemos uma pequena escalaminhada para conseguir ter uma vista mais ampla do local do alto. Depois brincamos em uma espécie de portal natural, que deu pra tirar altas fotos.
Em seguida, pegamos estrada e chegamos na Laguna Vinto onde fizemos a observação de flamingos. Não ficamos muito tempo, pois era mais pra contemplação.
A quinta parada foi em uma laguna que possui três nomes diferentes: Katal, Misteriosa ou Negra. A trilha pra chegar até ela é toda plana e em menos de 10 minutos você chega para contemplar a laguna. Por todo o caminho você fica muito perto das lhamas e até consegue tirar fotos com elas. Também é possível avistar outras espécies de animais e caminhar pelo bofedal. Prepare-se pra molhar os pés se não tiver com calçado impermeável.
No mesmo lugar aproveitamos para almoçar. Existe um restaurante com uma comida bem gostosa. Quando nos preparávamos pra pegar estrada começou uma forte chuva de granizo e trovões. Tivemos que esperar passar pra poder seguir o caminho. Ao longo do percurso algumas estradas pareciam até rios de tanta água que caiu do céu.
Na sexta parada conhecemos o Canyon Anaconda. Ao questionar o motivo do nome para o guia, o mesmo disse que era só chegar até a beirada dele que eu iria entender. E realmente foi possível. O grande rio que passa na parte de baixo do canyon lembra muito uma cobra gigante, ainda mais com sua combinação de cores azuladas e esverdeada. Ficamos um bom tempo apreciando a vista, que é maravilhosa!
Seguindo viagem paramos em mais um Canyon, o de Sora. Essa parada foi mais para usarmos o banheiro inca que para apreciar a paisagem em si. Apesar de ser uma bonita vista, não é nada tão espetacular quanto as outras que vimos anteriormente.
Após a chuva de granizo o cenário das montanhas e vulcões mudou bastante. Agora era possível ver eles todos cobertos de neve. Tivemos um grande privilégio pois pudemos ver eles em sua forma normal e depois com bastante gelo.
A última parada do passeio foi em um lugar exótico, no Armazém Belém para provar cervejas de sabores não tão comuns para nós brasileiros como, por exemplo, a cerveja de cacto. Na frente do bar também passa uma grande linha férrea onde pudemos observar uma locomotiva de carga muito grande passando, parecia que não tinha fim.
Voltando para a estrada, já de noite, chegamos ao Hostel de Sal, onde passamos a noite e jantamos. Validamos que é de sal mesmo, pois chegamos a lamber a parede.
Descansamos bastante e nos preparamos para o dia seguinte, que era o mais esperado do passeio. O dia que iríamos de fato conhecer o Deserto de Sal.
