Dancing under the Eiffel Tower. Life in the Philippines ????????

#philippines #angelescity

Dance is a common practice in schools throughout the Philippines. It is often included as part of the curriculum and extracurricular activities, particularly in elementary and high schools. Dance serves various purposes in the educational system and cultural context of the Philippines:

1. Physical Education: Dance is considered a form of physical exercise and is incorporated into physical education programs in schools. It helps students develop coordination, flexibility, strength, and overall fitness.

2. Cultural Preservation: The Philippines has a rich and diverse cultural heritage, and dance plays a significant role in preserving and celebrating this heritage. Students are exposed to traditional folk dances from different regions of the country, which helps instill pride in their cultural identity.

3. Creative Expression: Dance is an artistic and expressive form of communication. It allows students to explore their creativity, develop self-confidence, and express their emotions and ideas through movement.

4. Performance Opportunities: Many schools organize dance competitions, recitals, and cultural presentations where students can showcase their dance skills and talents. These events promote teamwork, discipline, and provide opportunities for students to gain performance experience.

5. Social and Team Building: Dance activities often involve group choreography and collaboration, fostering teamwork, cooperation, and social interaction among students. It helps build camaraderie and friendships within the school community.

It's important to note that the extent and focus of dance education may vary from one school to another, depending on factors such as resources, curriculum, and local cultural traditions. Some schools may have specialized dance programs or extracurricular dance clubs, while others may incorporate dance as part of broader arts education.

The Philippines offers opportunities for a simple and laid-back lifestyle, especially in rural or less urbanized areas. Here are some aspects that contribute to a simple life in the Philippines:

1. Cost of Living: Compared to many Western countries, the cost of living in the Philippines can be relatively low. Basic necessities, food, transportation, and housing costs can be more affordable, especially in rural areas or smaller towns.

2. Natural Beauty: The Philippines is known for its stunning natural landscapes, including beautiful beaches, mountains, and countryside. Living in the Philippines allows for easy access to these natural wonders, offering opportunities for relaxation, outdoor activities, and a closer connection to nature.

3. Close-Knit Communities: Filipino culture emphasizes strong community ties and close family relationships. Living in smaller towns or rural areas can foster a sense of belonging and support. The friendly and welcoming nature of the Filipino people often contributes to a simple and warm community atmosphere.

4. Relaxed Pace of Life: The Philippines is known for its laid-back and relaxed lifestyle. People often take time to enjoy meals, spend time with family and friends, and participate in leisure activities. This slower pace allows for a simpler and less stressful way of life.

5. Appreciation for Simplicity: Many Filipinos embrace a more modest and less materialistic way of life. They find joy in simple pleasures, such as spending time with loved ones, enjoying local cuisine, and engaging in cultural traditions and festivals.

It's important to note that the concept of a simple life can vary from person to person, and individuals may have different preferences and priorities. While the Philippines offers opportunities for a simpler lifestyle, it's advisable to research and understand the specific region or community you are considering living in to ensure it aligns with your needs and expectations.

HOW'S SHORT FINS FEELS LIKE AGAIN @DIVE7000, BAGALANGIT, BATANGAS CITY

Anilao Proper and Anilao East are two barangays in the municipality of Mabini, Batangas, the Philippines. They are located south of Manila on the large island of Luzon, at the southern end of the Calumpang Peninisula facing Maribacan Island. However, Anilao is now frequently used as a generic term for Mabini, Tingloy, and Bauan.

The coastline is steep and the mountains fall abruptly in the ocean facing the Maricaban island in the south. In the North, Anilao connects after Bauan with the Taal volcano area.

The western coast of Mabini is part of the Balayan bay, the eastern coast is part of the Batangas bay. The southern part of Mabini points toward Maribacan Island and connects with the Verde Island passage.

Dive 7000 Resort is situated near the town of Anilao, in Batangas Province, Philippines looks over the beautiful Balayan Bay. Considered the father of SCUBA DIVING in the philippines Dr. Tim Sevilla founded Dive7000 in 1978.

Amazing coral garden just in front of the resort. Different sea creatures are to be seen here like Resident Pawikan/Sea Turtle (Hawksbill Sea Turtle), Snowflakes/Black Moray Eel, Lion Fish, Mantis Shrimp, Puffer Fish, Trumpet Fish, Shrimp Fish, Pipe Fish, Bat Fish, Clown Fish, Trigger Fish, Nudi and other marine creatures.

Buddha Statue just around 8 meters depth and other dive spot to be seen here like Castle, Cathedral and Jetski.

Highly recommended resort for it's chill ambience and very accommodating owner and staff.

JOURNEY is the best way to LEARN.

Trivia:

Malitbog, officially the Municipality of Malitbog (Bukid and Higaonon: Banuwa ta Malitbog; Cebuano: Lungsod sa Malitbog; Tagalog: Bayan ng Malitbog), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 24,453 people.

The pioneers of the municipality were a group of Bukidnon tribe who has a small settlement along a spring called Abo-on.

As their number increased, they began to call the entire area Abo-on. However, there were divergent opinions to have this name because Abo-on refers only to a small cluster of settlers in the area.

The name was then changed to Malitbog, on the account of Malitbog River transversing their settlement and likewise the principal source of fishing, the native’s favorite livelihood. Their seat of the government near the Malitbog River was also another consideration.

By virtue of Executive No. 42, dated June 25, 1963, Malitbog became a 5th Class municipality by operation of the provision of Section 2 of Republic Act 1515 and considered a regular municipality pursuant to Republic Act 23 and 88 duly signed by President Diosdado Macapagal.

Malitbog is located at the northernmost part of the province, between parallel 8°25'35 and 8°36'8 North Latitude and Meridians 124°49'39 and 125°11'39 East Longitude. Malitbog is a land-locked municipality bounded on the north by the municipality of Claveria and on the western side by Tagoloan - both of which are part of Misamis Oriental. Bounding it on its southern part are the municipalities of Manolo Fortich and Impasugong of Bukidnon Province while on its eastern side is the municipality of Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.

The Municipality is about 40 kilometers (25 mi) from the regional capital - Cagayan de Oro City, and about 2½ hours ride from the Provincial Capital, Malaybalay City. It is reachable via Tagoloan and is approximately 2 hours ride from the City of Cagayan de Oro through secondary and first-class road types (gravel and concrete pavement).

The municipality of Malitbog is subdivided into 11 political subdivisions. It covers a total land area of 581.85 km² which about 7.02 percent of the land under the province's jurisdiction. Among its eleven barangays, San Luis occupied the largest area with total coverage of 388.68 km² - about 66.8 percent of Malitbog's land area. Barangay Poblacion on the other hand is the smallest in terms of land area coverage with only about 6.66 km². This represents a mere 1.14 percent of the municipality's area coverage.

Malitbog is politically subdivided into 11 barangays.

■ NORTHERN LUZON EXPRESSWAY (NLEX):
The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), signed as E1 of the Philippine expressway network, partially as N160 of the Philippine highway network, and R-8 of the Metro Manila arterial road network, is a controlled-access highway that connects Metro Manila to the provinces of the Central Luzon region in the Philippines. The expressway, which includes the main segment and its various spurs, has a total length of 101.8 kilometers (63.3 mi) and travels from its northern terminus at Sta. Ines Interchange to its southern terminus in Balintawak Interchange, which is adjacent to its connection to Skyway, an elevated toll road that connects the NLEX to its counterpart in the south, the South Luzon Expressway. The segment of the expressway between Santa Rita Exit in Guiguinto and the Balintawak Interchange in Quezon City is part of Asian Highway 26 of the Asian highway network. Despite that the name stating the word North Luzon, the expressway only ends at Sta. Ines Exit at Mabalacat, Pampanga which is located in Central Luzon.

The expressway also serves as a major utility corridor, carrying various high voltage overhead power lines through densely populated areas where acquisition and designation of right of way or power line alignment and lands for their associated structures is impractical. A notable power line using the expressway's right of way for most or part of the route is the Hermosa–Duhat–Balintawak transmission line where it utilizes the alignment or right of way of North Luzon Tollway (NLT) or NLEX Main from San Fernando Exit in San Fernando, Pampanga to Harbor Link Interchange in Valenzuela, Metro Manila, with the power line also represents how close a motorist does to Metro Manila if going southbound and San Fernando if northbound.

The North Luzon Expressway was built in the 1960s as part of the government's program to develop areas adjacent to Metro Manila, with NLEX serving the north. The expressway was originally controlled by the Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC), until the expressway's operations and maintenance was transferred in February 10, 2005, to the NLEX Corporation, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (a former subsidiary of Lopez Holdings Corporation until November 2008). The expressway was expanded and rehabilitated from 2003 to February 2005, modernizing the road and its facilities.

The North Luzon Expressway's main segment, called the North Luzon Tollway (NLT) or NLEX Main, cuts northwards from Quezon City to the provinces in Central Luzon.

The expressway begins in Quezon City as a four lane road at the Balintawak Interchange with EDSA as a continuation of A. Bonifacio Avenue. The main segment spans 84 km (52 miles), passing through Caloocan and Valenzuela in Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga in Central Luzon. It currently ends in Mabalacat. The NLEX runs parallel to the MacArthur Highway, which is officially known as the Manila North Road.

From Balintawak, the NLEX follows a straight north route, with sections lined by billboards. Two service roads run on either sides of the expressway from Balintawak to Barangay Lias, Marilao, albeit discontinuously and one service road on the west from Marilao Exit to Duhat, Bocaue. The N160 concurrency ends near the Eternal Gardens Memorial Park in Caloocan, just below Skyway and its Balintawak Exit and few meters south of the former site of Balintawak toll plaza that operated until 2005. The expressway then bends westward at Harbor Link Interchange in Valenzuela and in Tambubong Interchange in Bocaue, Bulacan. The following exit, Tabang, leads passengers to the Tabang Spur Road. The Tabang Spur Road is a four-lane, 3.36-kilometer (2.09 mi) spur road in Bulacan that branches off NLEX Main at Tabang Exit in Balagtas and terminates at a partial cloverleaf interchange with MacArthur Highway and Cagayan Valley Road at Guiguinto Exit in Guiguinto.[3] The spur road carried the final leg of the expressway until the present route was extended to Pampanga.
