SANTA BARBARA - TOP LOCALS ONLY PLACES TO EAT
Time for a Road Trip! Santa Barbara is only about 95 miles north of Los Angeles and filled with amazing food, wine, and beautiful views. Keep watching because we are going to hit all the top places in Santa Barbara's countryside.
In this travel vlog, we travel from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez to visit the hidden gems, including some of the sights from the movie Sideways.
Santa Barbara is known for its rugged beauty and wine country landscapes.
We take San Marcos Road through the valley, where we happen upon the San Marcos Bridge, one of the tallest bridges in the USA.
Next, we visit Cold Spring Tavern, which was founded in the 1800s as an old stagecoach stop. It is only a 20 minute drive from Santa Barbara. The restaurant is known for its antique-filled western-style feel, and delicious tri-tip sandwiches and game meats. They are also known for their live music, such as Bluegrass bands.
Lastly, we continue on the road to Santa Ynez and visit the Hitching Post, the famous restaurant from the movie Sideways.

There is also a mission at Santa Barbara up on the hill that was part of the old Camino Real. Up and down State Street in Santa Barbara you will see plenty of restaurants and pubs. In fact I consider it to be a very pleasant downtown area to visit.
