We are visiting the island of Anguilla and the uninhabited island of Sombrero in this episode of Aboard the Guiding Light.
You will learn how Anguilla almost became a country with St Kitts & Nevis. Also see the few historical building on the island, but the main draw to Anguilla are the beaches. Are you a cruiser? Well I will give you info on a cruising permit and the surrounding islands you should visit.
Also, we will sail to the mile long deserted island of Sombrero 25 miles away from Anguilla. This rock has had lighthouses on it since 1860 and has some facinating history. Today the only residents are the bird colonies.
