In this Walking Tour of San Rafael Del Norte we explore beautiful parks and churches, including the famous Tepeyac church on the hill, murals and local hotels. Nestled in the Northern Highlands of Nicaragua north of the city of Jinotega, San Rafael Del Norte is home to some famous national historical figures, notably Blanca Aráuz; the national heroine and wife of Sandino and Padre Odorico de Andrea, the Priest who developed the essential infrastructure of the town and is on the path to sainthood.

You Wouldn’t Believe This is Nicaragua (Big Corn Island Tour)
In this Nicaragua Travel Vlog I take you to the best place to visit in Central America for a Big Corn Island Tour. The Corn Islands are two secret Nicaraguan islands located in the middle of the Caribbean sea. Big Corn Island and Little Corn Island are no doubt, the best place to visit in Nicaragua and are truly a Nicaraguan paradise. Big Corn Island is home to a unique cultural where the locals typically speak Spanish, Creole, and English and eat a ton of delicious seafood and coconut infused dishes.
In this Big Corn Island Tour I take you around the island on my scooter, showing you all the best things to do on Big Corn Island. To start off my tour of Big Corn Island Nicaragua I climb for amazing views of the Caribbean sea. After getting back on my scooter, I ended up stumbling upon an abandoned home with incredible views of the Caribbean and tall palm trees. After some delicious food for lunch and dinner, I eventually make my way over to Arenas Beach Hotel and Arenas Beach, which is home to the best beach on the island with soft white sand and turquoise blue water. This beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing, and is even home to some great snorkeling if you walk further down the beach. I end my time on Big Corn Island with the famous island dish called Rundown, which is a delicious coconut seafood stew.

Nestled in the Nicaragua Northern Highlands, Matagalpa is a city steeped in rich history. It is the birth place of revered Nicaraguan poet Ruben Dario and the FSLN political movement’s founder Carlos Fonseca. Join us on our walking tour of Matagalpa Nicaragua, where we share some of Matagalpa’s history whilst visiting picturesque parks like Parque Morazan and Parque Ruben Dario, and impressive churches like the beautiful Catedral San Pedro. We also explore the vibrant cafe scene and highlight nearby attractions like Mirador Calvary, Selva Negra and Cascada Blanca. Whilst not on most people’s Nicaragua travel itinerary, if you are looking for an authentic Nicaraguan experience, then Matagalpa is the city for you!

One of the most important Nicaragua Festivals and Holidays for Jinotega is the Festival of the holy cross (Fiesta de la Santa Cruz). During this time the city comes alive with pilgrimages, rodeos and fiestas! As we explore this unique part of Nicaragua culture we also give you a guide to Nicaragua Tourism in Jinotega. This includes where to stay in Jinotega, where to eat in Jinotega and what to do in Jinotega. This Nicaragua travel video takes you to the best vantage point in Jinotega, Cerro de la Cruz.
