San Cristóbal DOMINICAN REPUBLIC || Real Streets

San Cristóbal DOMINICAN REPUBLIC || Real Streets
SAN CRISTOLBAL the city’s center maintains its Spanish colonial layout and much of its architecture, with red tile roofs, cobblestone streets and wrought iron balconies often with flowers. Most of the city’s economy is based on commerce, services and tourism.
Tourism is based on the city’s history, culture and indigenous population, although the tourism itself has affected the city, giving it foreign elements. Major landmarks of the city include the Cathedral, the Santo Domingo church with its large open air crafts market and the Casa Na Bolom museum.

Santo Domingo Travel Guide! In this video we're in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic exploring the Colonial Zone for this best things to do in city in 48 hours.

We start off at Independencia Park. Here you'll find a plaza with many statues as well as a mausoleum of the founding fathers of the Dominican Republic.

From here we make our way to El Conde, the main pedestrian street in this part of the city where you'll find vendors, performers, restaurants and lots of shops. We pick up a drink (Presidente beer) while we walk. Eventually ending up at Parque Colon (Columbus Park) which has a statue of Christopher Columbus in the centre. We also take a look at the amazing cathedral here in the square, which happens to be the oldest Cathedral in the Americas and is called The Cathedral of Santa María la Menor.

We pick things up the next day where we show off our cute hotel called Casa Sanchez, including the rooftop, pool and our room.

We then head to another big square in the Colonial Zone called Plaza de Espana where you'll find the Alcazar De Colon.

After walking down a beautiful and historic street we head into the Fortaleza Ozama where we walk around and explore the castle/fortress, the grounds and check out the amazing view.

Lastly we head to a rooftop bar called SugarCane which happens to have an amazing view of the cathedral and Parque Colon.

REAL STREETS Santo Domingo/San Cristóbal DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

REAL STREETS Santo Domingo/San Cristóbal DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Santo Domingo is the cultural, financial, political, commercial and industrial center of the Dominican Republic, with the country's most important industries being located within the city. Santo Domingo also serves as the chief seaport of the country. Be advised that Santo Domingo can be very dangerous. The locals are very friendly and easy going and they will be the first one to tell you to be careful. Violent crime is rampant. If you do choose to go do not walk outside at night IN AREAS LIKE DURATE WHRER I RECORDED THIS VIDEO......

Dominican Republic. San Cristobal. Barahona. Polo Magnetico. Dunes of Bani.

San Cristobal. Baseball stadium. Famous graffiti.

Dunes of Bani. Little desert in Dominican Republic. Entrance RD$100. Don't forget insect repeller!!!

Salt mining and factory on the way to beach of Bahia de Las Calderas.

Barahona is the city where larimar is mined. Chance to buy good larimar for low price. Mine is 10 km from Barahona. I did not have time to visit the mine, but I heard lots of tourists go there.

Polo Magnetico. Place where magnetic field pushes objects uphill. Best amusement is to put car to neutral gear and watch how it goes uphill. It is an illusion. Spots like these are all over the world. Canada for example has more then ten.
