When I did my first top-10 smallest towns videos (Kansas), I thought those were small. But Oklahoma has them beat! Note: these are the smallest INCORPORATED towns in Oklahoma. Ranging from 17 at the largest to 0 at the smallest (that's not a typo), Oklahoma is a fascinating state of small towns. Sequoyah State Park | Oklahoma State Parks | Best RV Destinations
This state park has a lot to offer!! Aside from the awesome RV sites, Sequoyah State park has excellent tent camping sites, hiking and biking trails, plenty of lake shoreline for boating, fishing, and swimming. Unlike most state parks, Sequoyah also has a golf course, riding stables, and a marina. One of the highlights of the park is the Sequoyah Lodge that has 104 guest rooms and there are also 45 nicely appointed cottages nearby!
With over 19,000 surface acres of water and 225 miles of shoreline on Fort Gibson Lake, the park attracts boaters and beach-goers alike. Visitors enjoy hiking, picnicking, guided horseback trail rides, wildlife watching, nature center activities, golf, fishing and camping.
The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park is Oklahoma's largest set of state park lodges, with 104 rooms and 45 cottages. The in-house restaurant and a variety of meeting rooms are popular for group functions and conferences. Wi-Fi is offered in the lodge lobby, media room, meeting spaces and restaurant. Other lodging amenities at The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park include a bunkhouse with a great room and kitchen facilities. Pets are allowed in select cottages for a small fee. No pets are allowed in the lodge.
Cool off in the summertime at the zero-entry swimming pool and children's splash pad in the lodge courtyard or find your place in the sun at a lakeside swim beach. Bring your family boat or book a pontoon boat cruise from Paradise Cove Marina. A recreation room, horseshoe pits, tennis court, basketball court and playgrounds complete your family fun time when visiting the park.
Camping facilities at Sequoyah State Park include RV and tent camping options. The Creek, Choctaw, and Paradise Cove areas offer tent camping. RV camping includes full hook-ups at the Choctaw and Seminole campgrounds with water and electric service only at Cherokee. All reservations must be made online with a 5pm check in and 2pm check out. Additional facilities include lighted boat ramps and picnic pavilions. The Sequoyah Group Camp has a dining hall with full kitchen and 10 A-frame cabins which can sleep a total of 98 people.
For more adventure, visit Sequoyah Riding Stables for trail rides or hayrides on wooded and open trails inside the park. Bring your group to Cowboy Camp at the stables.
The Three Forks Nature Center offers interpretive displays on native flora and fauna. At the Nature Center, guests young and old can experience native wildlife through the ambassador animal program. Learn more about the ecoregion’s distinct features with nature center staff.
The Sequoyah State Park Golf Course is a nine-hole course with Ultradwarf Bermuda grass greens, tees and fairways, well-placed sand bunkers and lake views. Facilities include a driving range, pro shop with cart, club rental, snacks, drinks and a gift shop. Book a tee time online with the booking link provided. The full-service Paradise Cove Marina features boat rentals, boat sales, loading dock, gas dock, slip rental, paddle boats, personal watercraft, storage, bait and tackle supplies.

Brushy Lake Trails, located in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, is a multi-use two loop trail along the edge of Brushy Lake. Lakeview Trail is a one mile loop, and Creek Run Trail is a two and a half mile loop.
These videos were filmed on February 13, 2023, using my GoPro Hero7 Black set at 2.7K 60fps, then edited and produced in iMovie.

Sallisaw / Ft. Smith KOA and Talimena Drive- 54 Nights RV - EP126
We spent the weekend at the Sallisaw/Ft. Smith KOA, since we couldn't find a good spot at any of Oklahoma's State Parks.
This was a test run with the cargo trailer and the motorcycle, which turned out awesome. Saturday was spent exploring the Talimena Drive in Southeast Oklahoma.

Stilwell to Eldon, Oklahoma State Highway 51
State Highway 51, abbreviated to SH-51 or OK-51, is a major state highway in Oklahoma, United States. It runs for 332.8 miles (535.6 km) east–west across the state, running from the Texas state line to Arkansas. It is the third-longest state highway in the system.
It passes through Tahlequah, where it has a brief concurrency with US-62/SH-10. After spitting with these highways, it heads southeast toward Stilwell, Oklahoma, running concurrent with US-59 for a mile on the way. After leaving Stilwell it provides access to Adair State Park, and then crosses the Arkansas line becoming Arkansas Highway 244, which quickly connects to Arkansas Highway 59.

Come enjoy the great outdoors in the Osage! Here are just a few of our recreational areas in the county. These areas surround beautiful Lake Skiatook, known to have the cleanest and the calmest waters in the state of Oklahoma - we say it has the prettiest sunsets too!
Also, did you know that Lake Skiatook is also on the Oklahoma Fishing Trail??? Yep!!
Kerr Beach Near Sallisaw Oklahoma A Tour of the FREE Swimming Area
Kerr Beach is a man-made swimming area adjacent to the Robert S. Kerr Lock and Dam #15 on the Arkansas River about 8 miles south of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
It is a Federal Park. Kerr Beach is not very well known despite the fact it has been in existence since 1971. I created this video for my friends and family who live in the Fort Smith Area so they can find Kerr Beach from Fort Smith, Arkansas. This video will detail the negatives and positives if you are planning on taking your friends or family swimming at Kerr. Overall, I recommend this swimming area to everyone.
2021 Update: The beach no longer has the restrooms (outhouses). They were removed several years ago. There are NO bathrooms there. The beach was closed for the year 2020 due to Covid-19. The Army Corps of Engineers may try to reopen this beach in 2021. Check for updates. In past years, tractors were used to smooth out the sand pulling up the weeds and making the beach nice. Once the beach reopens, they will do it again to smooth out the sand.
