As I was looking at the Belarus map during my research, the North and Far East region was something that intrigued me. These are regions that many tourists don’t visit and pay attention to. I was also curious to see what the people and places are like in areas close to the borders.
I took a 3-hour high-speed train from Minsk for 16 Belarusian Rubles. Prior to my departure, I managed to get in touch with Vitali whom I found through Couchsurfing. Despite our language barriers, Vitali was very excited to show me his hometown.
Being one of the oldest cities in Belarus, Vitebsk is believed to be found in 974 by the Princess Olga of Kiev and has been mentioned in ancient Russian chronicles since the 11th century.
This Northernmost regional city has an advantageous geographical location as it is located at the crossroads of the most important trade between Russia, Baltic states, Ukraine, Central and Western Europe.

캠핑카로 유라시아 횡단을 시작한 이후 많은 사람들이 우리를 걱정해 주었지만 신경 쓰지 않았다. 하지만 모스크바에서는 좀 달랐다.
(이 영상은 2022년 9월 28일~10월 1일에 촬영된 영상입니다. 러시아 횡단여행의 기록: 모스크바 Москва 붉은 광장 Красная площадь에 캠핑카를 타고 도착했다. 며칠 후 다시 찾은 그곳에는 푸틴이 있었다. 그리고 러시아인들의 함성으로 가득했다. 모스크바 스콜니키 캠핑장 Кемпинг Сокольники에서 휴식 그리고 한인마트에서 장을 보고 상트페테르부르크로 떠났다. / This video was filmed from September 28th to October 1st, 2022. A record of travel across Russia: We arrived in a camper at Red Square, Moscow. A few days later, We found Putin there again. And it was full of shouts from the Russians. We took a break at Moscow's Skolniki Camping Ground and went to St. Petersburg after shopping at a Korean mart.)
