The Bourgogne Road-Trip – Bourgogne Côte Saint-Jacques (1/13)
This web series takes the form of a road trip along which wine lovers can explore Bourgogne appellation's 13 geographical denomination with Marie and Alain, two youtubers who set off to find out more about the wine, the winemakers, and also the gastronomy and cultural heritage of each terroir.
In the north of Bourgogne, discover the Bourgogne Côte Saint-Jacques appellation. The nearest Bourgogne vineyard to Paris (1 hour), it looks down over the charming little village of Joigny, on the north bank of the Yonne.
Follow Marie & Alain, who drive along the south-facing vineyards, backed by the Forest of Othe plateau, and overhanging the valley and the town. The vines grow on a very special flinty clay soil.
Explore the town marked by wine, whose traces can be seen in the architecture (stained glass windows of the churches, decorations of the half-timbered houses...)
A unique land in Bourgogne, Joigny is the first wine-producing village you will come across on your way from Paris. It offers wines, the Bourgogne Côte Saint-Jacques, typical, confidential and rare, to discover absolutely.

LUNCH at DUCASSE'S LE DALI at LE MEURICE in PARIS
I've been fortunate enough to travel around the world but Paris retains a special place in my heart, especially when it comes to food and fine dining. I love great meals that are an adventure, and I love when the servers enjoy presenting the experience to me almost as much as I enjoy eating it!
Here's a video of my lunch at Le Dali ( one of the restaurants at Hotel Le Meurice in Paris. All the food at the palace hotel is overseen by the great French chef Alain Ducasse.
The room is spectacular, designed by Philippe Starck and an homage to Salvador Dali. The great Dali lived at the hotel on and off for 20 years and you can stay in the Dali Suite where he lived.
The executive chef is Jocelyn Herland, he was the executive chef at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester before coming to work at Le Meurice. The menu is split between traditional Parisian classics and Mediterranean cuisine. Le Dai is a celebration of the Ducasse vision of contemporary cuisine – sincere, flavorful and made to share.
Lunch started with some Venetian style shrimp. I had the daily special which was veal medallions with vegetables. My girl had the grilled monkfish. For dessert, I had a Cedric Grolet pear and she had the chocolate tart.
Le Meurice is one of the world's great luxury hotels. It first opened in 1815 and moved to its current location in 1835. The Dorchester Collection ( property is on the Rue di Rivoli across from the Tuileres Gardens.

Value hotel near Disneyland Paris | Premiere Classe St Thilburt des Vignes family room tour
Value hotel about 15 minutes drive to Disneyland Paris about €50-€60 a night.
Good food options nearby with a bakery 5 minutes walk from the hotel, KFC, Burger King and McDonalds 5 minutes drive from the hotel.
There are 3 supermarkets in the same area as KFC, with a Lidl, Aldi and an intermarche 5 minutes drive.
Val d'Europe, the designer village, and a massive Auchen supermarket are 10-15 minutes drive.
We have stayed at this hotel for the past 4 years and have never had a problem, the rooms are basic but the staff are always helpful, sometimes google translate can help with understanding but once the staff understand they will help with anything.
