Riquewihr is a delightful blend of cobbled streets, medieval fortifications, half-timbered houses, winemakers’ shops with tasting rooms, and rooftops adorned with nesting white storks!
Only 11 km from Colmar in the Alsace region of France, the beautiful flowered village of Riquewihr is a member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France and right on the road to travel the famous Route des Vins. Other Alsatian villages in the area worth visiting are Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Eguisheim and also the town of Kaysersberg.
Riquewihr has a population of just over 1,000 people and is classed as an open air museum. The village architecture has not changed much since the 16th century and it is also renowned for the Riesling and other wines historically produced in the area. Why not visit the Féerie de Noel, Place des Trois Eglises, the Musee du Dolder and La Tour des Voleurs, or walk along the streets of flowering Geraniums in this beautiful village tour.

Moi qui suit habituée au #slowtravel, mon séjour a été relativement mouvementé ! Nous avons vu beaucoup de lieu (voire trop) pour réellement prendre le temps d'apprécier la beauté de la nature bretonne.

Frankreich Rundreise - Teil 1/4 - Cote d'Azur, Bretagne, Normandie - Der ganzen Küstenlinie entlang
Frankreich in 30 Tagen komplett umrundet mit dem Auto. 5830 Kilometer. Abstecher nach Spanien, Italien ( Italienische Riviera mit Camogli, Rapallo, Genua Nervi, Savona, San Remo ) und Belgien. Teil 1 von 4.
Wir starten in Basel (Schweiz) und fahren Richtung Italien nach Camogli und besichtigen Rapallo, Genua Nervi und reisen weiter über Asti nach Turin und besichtigen dort die Basilica di Superga.
Von Turin gehts weiter über Alba wo wir die Altstadt besichtigen nach Savona wo wir übernachten.
Der nächste Tag bringt uns der italienischen Riviera entlang weiter bis nach San Remo. Dort übernachten wir und besichtigen die Stadt.
Fahren weiter nach Frankreich über Monaco und Nizza weiter nach La Seyne-sur-Mer, Les Sablettes bei Toulon. Dort sehen wir uns Bandol, Six-Fours-les-Plages, Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, Sanary-sur-Mer und den Mont Faron oberhalb Toulon an.
Weiter gehts nach Girona Spanien wo wir uns die Altstadt ansehen.
Nächster Stopp ist Carcassonne in Frankreich.
Weiter nach Donostia San Sebastian in Spanien wo wir die Bucht, Altstadt und den Monte Igueldo besichtigen.
Über Biarritz und Dune du Pilat nach Bordeaux. Stadtrundfahrt.
Weiter über Royan nach La Rochelle wo wir die Altstadt und Hafen besichtigen.
Am nächsten Tag weiter nach Les Sables-d'Olonne, Bretignolles-sur-Mer, Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie nach Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez.
Passage du Gois, Beauvoir-sur-Mer, Barbâtre, Ile de Noirmoutier, Pornic, Blockhaus De La Palette, Semaphore Pointe Saint Gildas, Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef, Saint-Nazaire, Batz-sur-Mer, Le Croisic, Piriac-sur-Mer und Vannes folgen am nächsten Tag.
Bei schlechtem Wetter fahren wir zum Golf von Morbihan und schnell weiter nach Concarneau und Saint- Renan. Halten unterwegs an der tollen Küste bei Cap Corsen, Pointe Corsen, Plage Corsen, Plage de Kerhornou, Lampaul-Plouarzel, Ploumoguer, Lanildut und Porspoder.
Am nächsten Tag sehen wir uns Brest an und fahren weiter über Kerlouan, Brignogan-Plage, Roscoff nach Carantec. Fahren la Passe - Route Submersible nach Ille de Callot.
Weiter nach Morlaix, Locquirec, Lannion, Trébeurden, Plage de Goas Treiz, Trégastel, La Grève Blanche, Perros-Guirec, Sillon de Talbert, Lanmodez, Paimpol, Abbaye de Beauport und Saint-Brieuc.
