Incredible walking coastal trails, and charming seaside fishing villages/holiday resorts. It could be the perfect place to spend a few days or a whole week. The weather is warmer than the rest of the British Isles and with just a 45-minute flight from London very accessible.

10 MUST DO ACTIVITIES on your Jersey Holiday (Channel Islands) #Jersey #ChannelIslands
There are some amazing things to see and do in the island of Jersey. Whether you're on a romantic break with a loved one, or bringing the kids for a family holiday, there's something for everyone. Here's a round up of some of the MUST-DO things to include when planning your trip.
Our first must-do are the **castles**!
Mont Orgueil is an 800 year old medieval fortress which stands guard over the quaint little fishing village of Gorey. Inside you'll find fascinating artwork & exhibitions, knights and princess dress-up, a medieval-themed play area and don't miss the stunning view from the very top.
Elizabeth Castle is built on a rocky islet, just south of the capital, St Helier. Surrounded by sea, it's defended Jersey for over 400 years. You can walk out to the castle on the causeway at low tide but when it's high you can catch the castle ferry, an amphibious vehicle which drives on the sand then floats once it's in the water. Catch the living history characters' midday parade and watch them fire the canon. Explore the German bunkers added during World War 2. Climb to the highest point & check out the view of St. Aubin's bay. and visit St. Helier's rock top hermitage.
The next thing you have to do is to see the island from the water on a **boat trip**. Whether that's sailing around the coast exploring secret beaches and caves or visiting the other rocks and islets belonging to Jersey. There's also a high likelihood you'll come across dolphins, seals and other local wildlife while you're out there.
**Jersey Zoo** is world famous for its founder; naturalist and author Gerald Durrell, and the conservation work carried out internationally by the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. There are scheduled keeper talks, play areas and you can also book exclusive behind the scenes experiences. You can even stay overnight at the park in either a 5* glamping pod or the more budget-friendly hostel.
Jersey's famously the sunniest place in the British isles, so if you're looking for a little R&R, you'll find plenty of space on our world class **beaches**. There are way too many beautiful bays to mention here but after this, make sure you watch our video on the 10 best beaches in Jersey!
And while you're at the beach make sure you enjoy our crystal clear waters by checking out some of the **watersports** on offer. Why not take a guided kayaking or coasteering tour?
After all that activity, you'll have worked up an appetite. As a small island surrounded by sea Jersey has some of the best **seafood** available, and it reaches your plate as fresh as can be. Check out some of the locally run seafood restaurants where you'll find oysters, sea bass, crab, scallops and more all caught in Jersey waters - delicious!
The **Botanical Gardens at Samares Manor** are a must see in Jersey. Explore the Herb Garden, Japanese garden, duck pond and stables. If you have children with you they'll enjoy the willow labyrinth, jungle path and play area. Then when you've seen all of that recharge with lunch at the cafe.
Jersey is an island with a rich history and the best place to learn about some of that history is the **Jersey War Tunnels.** It's a German Underground Hospital dug deep into a hillside which has been transformed into a museum, to reveal the true story of life in Jersey during its occupation in World War 2.
If you're travelling with children then **Amaizin Adventure Park** is the must-visit attraction for you! With activities like mini golf, go karts and a jumping pillow outside, a huge soft play inside, a barnyard of animals to get to know as well as the corn maze, you can spend all day here and never get bored!
And finally, while you're here make sure you catch the **sunset** in St Ouen. There are plenty of beach cafes with excellent food along the bay so relax and enjoy uninterrupted sea views as the sun disappears below the horizon.

Riquewihr is a delightful blend of cobbled streets, medieval fortifications, half-timbered houses, winemakers’ shops with tasting rooms, and rooftops adorned with nesting white storks!
Only 11 km from Colmar in the Alsace region of France, the beautiful flowered village of Riquewihr is a member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France and right on the road to travel the famous Route des Vins. Other Alsatian villages in the area worth visiting are Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Eguisheim and also the town of Kaysersberg.
Riquewihr has a population of just over 1,000 people and is classed as an open air museum. The village architecture has not changed much since the 16th century and it is also renowned for the Riesling and other wines historically produced in the area. Why not visit the Féerie de Noel, Place des Trois Eglises, the Musee du Dolder and La Tour des Voleurs, or walk along the streets of flowering Geraniums in this beautiful village tour.

CAPE BRETON Travel Guide ???? | Things to do in Cape Breton, NOVA SCOTIA, Canada ????????
Hello and greetings from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where in this travel guide we plan to highlight some of the top things to do for visitors! We recently spent a week road-tripping the island and what an adventure that was! This was our fourth summer exploring Nova Scotia, and this time around we focused on southern Cape Breton, specifically the area between St. Peter’s and Port Hastings. Here is our Cape Breton Travel Guide covering some fascinating things to do in Nova Scotia, Canada.
I think this is a really interesting area to visit because it is very accessible. Port Hastings is the first town you hit if you’re crossing via the Canso Causeway (the only land access point to the island!), so it’s a logical starting point, and it makes a lot of sense for travellers who want to see a bit of Cape Breton without having to drive too far.
We spent our week in southern Cape Breton doing an iconic sail from lake to sea, feasting on seafood at every meal, tackling different hiking trails, and enjoying the warm hospitality the island is known for.

10 Things to do in Porto, Portugal Travel Guide Video Transcript: (OPORTO)
Lisbon is beautiful, but Porto is magical. We arrived in Porto with our taxi driver’s words still ringing in our ears, and we’re happy to say, the city did not disappoint!
Our time in Porto was spent sipping on Port wine, soaking in the views across the Douro River, wandering through the hilly streets, and marvelling at buildings covered in blue tiles.
In this travel guide, we’re going to share a little bit of Porto’s magic with you, and also show you some of the things you too can see, eat, and drink when you visit Porto!
Known as the Chapel of Souls, this church is covered in tiles that represent moments in the life of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Catherine.
This bookstore is a feast for the eyes. The bookstore was even frequented by JK Rowling when she taught English in Porto, and it’s reported to have been an inspiration in her Harry Potter series.
We continued our walk downhill until we reached the São Bento Train Station.
Porto Cathedral is one of the oldest landmarks in the city with cloisters where the walls are covered in blue tiles.
We reached the neighbourhood of Ribeira, which sits right on the shores of the Douro River. This neighbourhood is lined with many sidewalk cafes, bars, and restaurants, so it’s a nice place to rest your legs and do a bit of people watching. Feeling hungry we wandered down some of the back streets until we found a small restaurant serving up local specialities.
We made time for one more attraction: the Church of Saint Francis.
The Bridge we had all been waiting for was Dom Luis the first Bridge, which spans the Douro River. The lower deck carries regular traffic with narrow walkways for those on foot, and the upper deck is reserved for pedestrians and the metro lines.
For the best views of Porto, you need to walk the upper deck!
There was only one thing on our minds: visit one of the many wineries that line this side of the river! We ended up walking into Croft for a wine tasting without need for an appointment, and this turned out to be one of our favourite activities in Porto!
Filled to the brim with port wine, cheese and chocolate, we enjoyed a light stroll along the Douro River, watching the boats bob in the water.

Hello everyone! Our video this time is about our visit to Uzès, south of France, in March 2022.

The history of Uzès is very old and the development of the city began in the 1st century BC. This time we walked around the town with its long history, visiting church and castle. As we visited the city on a Monday and during the off-season, many shops were closed and there were fewer tourists in the alleys, which allowed us to enjoy the city in peace. It was just fun to walk around the town.
