Walk in St Germain en Laye - exploring Ile de France
This is a short walk in St Germain en Laye - a city in Parisian Ile de France. The city is known by its gardens, forest, nice views and the castle. The gardens and the castle were still closed post-confinement, but we were lucky to walk in the forest and explore the city center (and still catch a glimpse of both castle and gardens!)

Hello, and welcome to Paris. This week we are exploring the city of love, city of lights and city of art. This video will be showing you the top 50 things to do while you visit Paris.
So we're wrapping things up here. What would be your one tip for visiting Paris? Well, I have recently spent a whole ten days here in summer. I would say that if you really want to visit the art galleries, the museums and all of the main attractions you should probably avoid summer and like either come in the spring or the fall or even winter. Because the lines are insane and sometimes you have to wait like an hour and a half or two hours.
So how about you? What are your final thoughts on Paris? So my finals thoughts is obviously Paris is one of the top cities in the world in terms of attractions. There is going to be garbage, there is going to be lines, there is going to be some areas that are a bit of an eyesore. But there is also a lot of beauty and there is also a lot to do here.

Saint-Germain-en-Laye [sɛ̃.ʒɛʁ.mɛ̃.ɑ̃.lɛ] is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France, located 19 km west of Paris.
Since 1 January 2019, it has had the status of a new commune following the absorption of the commune of Fourqueux on that date.
The history of the city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye has long been linked to the presence of the castle, which was a regular residence of the kings of France whose importance nevertheless diminished following the installation of Louis XIV in Versailles, and to the forest, former royal hunting estate. At the beginning of the twenty-first century, it is the seat of a sub-prefecture of Yvelines and has become a sought-after residential city, with a marked international character1.
Its inhabitants are called Saint-Germanois. It is the150th most populous city in metropolitan France.
Saint-Germain-en-Laye is famous for its castles (Château-Vieux, remains of the Château-Neuf, Château d'Hennemont), its terrace, its forest, its schools, its shops and its museums (Musée d'Archéologie nationale, Musée du Prieuré, Musée Claude-Debussy).

Saint Germain en Laye France | Moving to France Vlog
The chateau at Saint-Germain-en-Laye is the original palace of the kings and where Louis XVI was actually born. Before there was ever the Versailles Palace, this beautiful chateau in the heart of Saint-Germain-en-Laye was the royal palace. It is located 19 km west of Paris, France. In today's video we share with you the footage we shot when we spent one hour touring the palace and it's garden back in February. There's not much of the inside of the chateau, due to the short amount of time we were there, but we did get some shots inside the beautiful chapel area. We hope you enjoy.
