I found myself in France recently, learning the language and seemed like a good time to catch up with @TheTimTraveller again, so that we would specifically ride the two least used lines on the Paris Metro - the unusual 3bis and 7bis, featuring an old abandoned sections of track and disused stations!

And the shortest distance between two Paris Metro stations ... we think it's either Cluny La Sorbonne to Maubert, or Cluny La Sorbonne to Odeon, whch are both on the Ligne 10. They both take around just 42 seconds to travel between the two, it's a close call!

Fun Fact: Chalon in the 19th century is best known as the birthplace of photography. The Musée Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon is named for one of the earliest pioneers of photography. The museum contains some early photography relics, more than two million photographs and many old artifacts such as cameras and other equipment.

Lyon, also written Lyons in English, is the third largest city in France and centre of the second largest metropolitan area in the country. It is the capital of the Rhone-Alpes region and the Rhône département. It is known as a gastronomic and historical city with a vibrant cultural scene. It is also the birthplace of cinema.
Founded by the Romans, with many preserved historical areas, Lyon is the archetype of the heritage city, as recognised by UNESCO. Lyon is a vibrant metropolis which makes the most out of its unique architectural, cultural and gastronomic heritage, its dynamic demographics and economy and its strategic location between Northern and Southern Europe. It is more and more open to the world, with an increasing number of students and international events.
The Rhône and Saône converge to the south of the historic city centre, forming a peninsula – the Presqu'île – bounded by two large hills to the west and north and a large plain eastward. Place Bellecour is located on the Presqu'île between the two rivers and is the third-largest public square in France. The broad, pedestrian-only Rue de la République leads north from Place Bellecour.
The northern hill is La Croix-Rousse, known as the hill that works because it is traditionally home to many small silk workshops, an industry for which the city has long been renowned. The western hill is the Fourvière, known as the hill that prays because it is the location for the basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, several convents, and the residence of the Archbishop. The district, Vieux Lyon, also hosts the Tour métallique (a highly visible TV tower, replicating the last stage of the Eiffel Tower) and one of the city's funicular railways. Fourvière, along with portions of the Presqu'île and much of La Croix-Rousse, is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
East of the Rhône from the Presqu'île is a large flat area upon which sits much of modern Lyon and contains most of the city's population. Situated in this area is the urban centre of La Part-Dieu which clusters the landmark structures Tour Part-Dieu, Tour Oxygène, and Tour Swiss Life, as well as the city's primary railway station, Gare de Lyon-Part-Dieu. North of this district is the sixth arrondissement, which is home to one of Europe's largest urban parks, the Parc de la Tête d'or, as well as Lycée du Parc and Interpol's world headquarters.
The city centre is not so big and most attractions can be reached from each other on foot. The walk from Place des Terreaux to Place Bellecour, for example, is about 20 min. The rule of thumb is that metro stations are generally about 10 min walk apart. Be careful when crossing major axes: traffic is dense and running red lights is a very popular sport.

The Great Pagoda of Vincennes is a monument in Bois de Vincennes near Lake Daumesnil. It was built in 1931 on the site of the temple of Cameroon and Togo. It's 28 meters tall and owned by the Paris City Hall, which takes care of maintaining it. Although it's a Buddhist site, it's not open to visitors due to its religious significance. However, it's open during significant events.

La ligne dessert actuellement 14 stations et mesure 9,2 kilomètres (5,7 min). Les trains de la ligne A roulent sur des pneus plutôt que sur des roues en acier ; c'est une ligne de métro sur pneus.

On essaie de rester le plus objectif possible dans nos vidéos, mais il faut parfois rendre à César ce qui est à César... On a trouvé ce camping vraiment très pratique et avec un très bon rapport qualité prix, et un personnel vraiment agréable. C'est toujours compliqué de visiter une grande ville, mais le Camping des Barolles rend la visite de Lyon vraiment simple et plaisante, et vous donne aussi plein de conseils sympas, avec des plans à l'appui. L'arrêt de bus est à 10 minutes à pied, il y a des bus toutes les 20 minutes en été, et plus souvent en période scolaire. Le bus C10 vous amène à quelques mètres de l'office du tourisme sur la place Bellecour. Le camping est à taille humaine, avec tous les services et des sanitaires propres, des poubelles et des efforts pour l'environnement. Les emplacements sont plutôt plats. Le quartier est sympa et la petite ville de Saint Genis Laval a tout ce qu'il faut si vous restez plusieurs jours. Avec, en bonus, une station essence et un centre commercial géant à 5 minutes en voiture. Il y a un wifi qui marche assez bien. Nous avons payé 26 euros la nuit.

We found this campsite really very practical and with a very good value for money, and a staff that was really pleasant. It's always complicated to visit a big city, but Camping des Barolles makes visiting Lyon really simple and pleasant, and also gives you lots of nice advice, with supporting maps. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away, there are buses every 20 minutes in summer, and more often during school time. The C10 bus will take you a few meters from the tourist office on Place Bellecour. The campsite is on a human scale, with all the services and clean sanitary facilities, garbage cans and efforts for the environment. The pitches are rather flat. The neighborhood is nice and the small town of Saint Genis Laval has everything you need if you stay several days. With, as a bonus, a gas station and a giant shopping center 5 minutes away by car. There is a wifi that works quite well. We paid 26 euros per night.

Ciao e benvenuti su questo video.
Siamo arrivati in Spagna, precisamente nord della Spagna, affacciati sul mare Cantabrico nell' oceano Atlantico, esattamente nella cittadina di San Sebastian.
una cittadina che ci ha saputo coinvolgere e prendere al cuore.
abbiamo fatto un giro sul lungomare la sera, e il mattino seguente siamo andati in spiaggia. Nel pomeriggio un bel giro in bicicletta e monopattino per visitare il centro, e infine abbiamo preso la funicolare che ci ha portato al parco divertimenti per festeggiare il compleanno di Federico.

Station fantôme Porte des Lilas Cinéma (Métro de Paris)
Visite de la station fantôme « Porte des Lilas - Cinéma ». Cette station du métro parisien située à quelques mètres du terminus actuel Porte des Lilas sur la ligne 3 bis, est désaffectée depuis la fermeture au public de la « voie navette ». Cette voie a été utilisée de 1921 à 1939 afin de relier les stations Porte des Lilas sur la ligne 3 (devenue 3 bis) et Pré-Saint-Gervais sur la ligne 7 (devenue 7 bis).
La « voie navette » se situe à proximité de la « voie des Fêtes », mais celle-ci ne passe pas par la station fantôme Haxo (visite d'Haxo : .
L'ancienne station de Porte des Lilas, surnommée « Porte des Lilas - Cinéma » connaît désormais une nouvelle jeunesse en servant de décor aux tournages de publicités et de films. A titre d'information, une journée de tournage sur place coûte entre 15 000 et 18 000 euros.
