G'day Winstone Media subscribers, welcome back to another video! Today I cycled from Saint-Amand-Montrond to Montluçon. Join me as I cycle throgh historic french towns. Try a religous vanilla cake which has the same name as a religous catholic nun. Walk through a beautiful old church. Meet a french family and drink some beers. Last of all do a kebab review in the cosy little french town of Montluçon.

Guide LEPERE du chemin de Vézelay
Premier guide pratique de la Voie de Vézelay (Via lemovicensis), c'est aussi le plus complet. L'ouvrage propose une variante de Nevers à Saint-Amand. Ce guide a été réalisé en partenariat avec les Amis de Saint-Jacques en Berry et la Société landaise des Amis de St-Jacques.
C'est l'une des quatre grandes routes de France vers Compostelle décrites par Aimery Picaud dans son Guide du pèlerin, depuis la « colline éternelle » de Vézelay où se dresse l'abbaye de la Madeleine. C'est le chemin de prédilection des pèlerins venus du nord-est de la France et de la Belgique. Le chemin traverse les villes de Bourges et de Châteauroux (mais il y a une variante par Nevers). Il rallie ensuite Limoges puis le Pays basque dans le village d'Ostabat où il rencontre la voie du Puy et la voie de Tours, avant de se fondre dans le camino francés.

Suivez-nous à vélo à la découverte de Saint-Amand-Montrond et de Montluçon. Comment y allons nous ? Via le Canal de Berry bien sûr ! Ce canal hors du commun rejoint ces 2 charmantes villes du Cher et de l'Allier. Un parcours au fil de l'eau traversant le Berry et le Bourbonnais.
Laissez nous vous raconter l'histoire fascinante de ce canal aux multiples facettes. Construit au XIXème siècle afin de relier la Loire à Nevers, le Canal de Berry traverse les départements de l'Allier, du Cher et du Loir-et-Cher. Découvrez la suite de son histoire en images...
Visitons la charmante ville de St Amand Montrond, connue pour sa forteresse. N'hésitez pas à vous évader un peu plus loin pour visiter l'Abbaye de Noirlac.
Partons vers Montluçon, et sur le parcours, faisons une halte au Château d'Ainay le Vieil, cet imposant château fort entouré de douves et de jardins extraordinaires.
Sur le canal de Berry, s'enchainent écluses, quais de déchargement, ports et autres vestiges de l'époque où le canal servait de voie navigable. Et arrêtons nous à Drevant, la charmante petite cité de caractère, où se situent les vestiges d'un site gallo-romain.
Montluçon est une ville très charmante, traversée par le Cher, avec son architecture moyenâgeuse, ses vieux quartiers et son château surprenant.

Nice and easy was the order of the day as I just ticked over the legs and covered 20 kilometres for the day. I show you what a Fast Hotel gives you for breakfast in France. Admire an old post office building in a little town called Marie. The reality of cycling on busy french roads where cars fly by at 90 miles per hour. Have a couple of frothys with a young frenchman named Benjamin. Last of all show you another church in Orleans.

Par une journée de forte chaleur en cet été 2016, nous sommes partis en direction de Sidiailles (à environ 50 min de Bourges et Châteauroux) pour aller tester les activités proposées au sein de cette base de loisirs.
Vous pourrez vous y baigner, lézarder sur la plage, louer un Stand-Up Paddle, pédalos ou canoë ou même profiter du parc Accro-Branche Branché Aventure et ses tyroliennes géantes.
