10 California Mission Spots to Visit Along El Camino Real

10 things to see at the California Missions -

El Camino Real is a road in California that connects the 21 Spanish California missions that were established in the state. These are some of the oldest buildings and landmarks in California, which makes them interesting to visit even though they have become polarizing. I took a 7-day road trip to visit all of them in 2016 and you can read about that below or you can see my favorite spots at the California Missions in this video.

Top 10 Most Dangerous Places in the United States! Dangerous tourist attractions in the America

Top 10 Most Dangerous Places in the United States - US - America

In this video, we are going to talk about top 10 most dangerous places in USA. So before starting this video, please like this video, and subscribe to our channel for the future updates.
1. Death Valley, California: Known for its extreme heat and harsh desert conditions, Death Valley is one of the most inhospitable places in the USA. Temperatures can soar well above 38 Degree Celsius, making it dangerous for those unprepared for the intense heat and lack of water.
2. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming: While Yellowstone is a stunning natural wonder, it's also home to geothermal features like geysers, hot springs, and fumaroles. Visitors need to exercise caution as the ground can be unstable, and the scalding hot water can cause severe burns.
3. Angeles Crest Highway, California: This scenic mountain road offers breathtaking views of the San Gabriel Mountains but is notorious for its sharp curves, steep drop offs, and unpredictable weather conditions. Accidents are common, especially during winter when snow and ice make driving treacherous.
4. Mount Washington, New Hampshire: Known for having some of the most extreme weather conditions on Earth, Mount Washington holds the record for the highest wind speed ever recorded outside of a tropical cyclone. Hiking or climbing here can be perilous due to sudden changes in weather and fierce winds.
5. North Cascades Highway, Washington: Another scenic but dangerous roadway, the North Cascades Highway winds through the rugged terrain of the Cascade Range. Avalanches, rockslides, and steep cliffs pose significant hazards to drivers, particularly during the winter months.
6. The Wave, Arizona: This iconic sandstone formation in the Coyote Buttes North area of Arizona's Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is stunning but can be deadly to those unprepared for the harsh desert environment. Heatstroke and dehydration are real risks, and the remote location means help can be hours away.
7. Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, California: Half Dome is a challenging rock formation that attracts hikers and climbers from around the world. However, the final ascent up the steep granite slope, known as the Cables Route, is extremely dangerous, especially during storms or high winds.
8. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii: Home to two active volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa, this park offers visitors a chance to witness the raw power of nature. However, eruptions, lava flows, and toxic gas emissions make it one of the most hazardous national parks in the USA.
9. The Devil's Backbone, Texas: This stretch of Highway 32 between San Antonio and Kerrville is known for its sharp curves and steep drop-offs, earning it the nickname The Devil's Backbone. Accidents are frequent, especially at night when visibility is reduced.
10. Alaska's Dalton Highway: Stretching over 400 miles from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, the Dalton Highway is one of the most isolated and dangerous roads in the USA. Extreme weather, including freezing temperatures, blizzards, and icy conditions, make it a challenge for even the most experienced drivers.

Exploring California's Highway 39 - Closed For Over 40 Years

California State Route 39 as it heads into the mountains north of Azusa has been called California's Forbidden Highway or California's Forgotten Highway, as the last four and a half miles of it have been closed since 1978, preventing it from connecting with State Route 2. Because of the closure and dead end, the road sees very little traffic, despite being only miles from the second largest city in the United States.

In this video, we drive up the road through the Angeles National Forest (the same road part of Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was filmed on) and check out what there is to see along the way. We then explore the section of road that has been closed for over 40 years, a road that was once considered one of the most scenic in California.

For another look at Highway 39, check out this video on the road by Roaming Benji:

Is Venezuela Ready for Visitors?

After years of crisis and isolation, Venezuela is reconnecting to the world. More airlines are opening routes, the US dollar is widely accepted and some locals say the worst is over. Is Venezuela ready to welcome international tourists? And: is it safe?
DW's Joel Dullroy visited Venezuela in January 2022. He went to some of the most touristic spots of the country: from the Isla de Margarita to the town of Mérida and the national park of Morrocoy.
