10 Best place to visit in Sabang Philippines

x

Sabang - The BEST PLACE to find Working Girls in the Philippines - Puerto Galera, Mindoro.

Everybody knows what goes on in Sabang. That’s why expats come here. At least you know what you’re getting into here. It’s not like meeting girls on the internet where a lot of the time you don’t know whether a filipina wants to love you long time or short time and get paid for it.

As one of the restaurant managers revealed - approximately 99.9% of the filipinas staying temporarily in Sabang are allegedly working girls. Which probably even beats Angeles.

Jay, one of my viewers, told me he was in Sabang to dive, “definitely not a place to bring the mother -In-law or girlfriend or family.” He said. I say viewer not subscriber as after we’d met at a bar in BGC and Jay saw me put ice in my beer he said he definitely wasn’t gonna subscribe now. It was fine him having ice in his rum n’coke thou, just not in beer.

Puerto Galera, Mindoro houses the idyllic White Beach. As I’ve got older I’d rather be in bed early at night and up at daylight. A great start to my day is walking along the beach. White Beach is similar to Alona Beach, although the latter is monopolized by Dive Boats, when at 7am there’s a army of helpers loading the dive boats with gas canisters which make a pleasant clinking sound as they’re knocked against each other.

Mindoro island has been in my sights for a while now. Whilst scrolling through FB posts on good locations for expats to live in the Philippines, recommendations for Puerto Galera would frequently pop up. So it made sense to schedule Mindoro into to my plans with its proximity to Manila. I’ve got four more places to visit over the next four weeks.

After 3 nights staying in White Beach, I headed for Sabang Beach, beyond Puerto Galera town. White beach was a bit sleepy, even for me. Whilst staying there I was constantly reminded of The Specials song Ghost Town but I was visiting during October which is considered off season. Come back in December or January and it might be different. Or maybe not. The nightlife in Puerto Galera is apparently in Sabang.

I paid 1430 pesos online for Jack Daniel Apartments in Sabang. It’s amazing how you can pay the same price for a hotel room and have two totally different experiences. Then moved to Tropicana Castle for 1375 pesos.

Places to Visit When in BALER, AURORA | PH 2023

We had a short but fun trip in Baler, Aurora. We visited some of the tourist spots in Aurora like Museo de Baler, Dona Aurora Aragon-Quezon Replica house, The Baler Church, the well-known Ermita Hill and the Balete Tree located in the Eco Park.
We stayed in AweL SeaShore Inn located in Brgy. Sabang. The room rate is P3,000 a night good for 4 pax.
You can see the Sabang Beach across the Inn, so it was great!
On our first day, we just enjoyed the beach and late in the afternoon, we visited the Museo de Baler to witness some parts of the history of Baler, Aurora.
The next day, we went to the church, San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Parish, also known as Baler Church.
Across the church, you can see right away the replica of the house of Dona Aurora Aragon-Quezon. She was the wife of the former president of the Philippines, Pres. Manuel L. Quezon.
After that we ate lunch in Yolly’s Ihaw-Ihaw and Seafood Resto located in Quezon Highway corner Recto St.
Then back to the road to visit Ermita Hill, one of the well-known historical places in Aurora.
Before the end of the tour, we went to the Eco Park to see the Balete Tree. It is known to be the largest Balete Tree not just in the Philippines but in whole Asia! Can you believe it? It is humongous! Over 600 years and around 200 feet high!
There are a lot of places to go to in Baler, Aurora, and 2 days is not enough to cover everything! We will be back to feature the remaining tourist spots in Aurora and to enjoy again the beach!

Baler, Aurora has a lot of stories to tell! You might want to consider visiting it as well.
Baler is known to be the birthplace of Philippine Surfing!

Where is the EASIEST PLACE to meet Filipinas? Sabang Beach, Puerto Galera, Mindoro, Philippines

Sandstorm Lodge at White Beach is priced at 1500 which includeS breakfast, but I managed to bargain Anthony down to 1350 a night. Even that was overpriced for a claustrophobic shed with cold water shower with your neighbors positioned less than half a meter away. So I was looking forward to working in my room in Jack Daniel where I could work in comfort.

PUERTO GALERA PHILIPPINES 2023 TOUR | Travelling from Batangas Port to Puerto Galera White Beach, Oriental Mindoro

Join us as we explore Puerto Galera - one of 3 places in the Philippines recognized by UNESCO as a Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1973. Puerto Galera is located in the Mindoro Islands and its famous for its beautiful white sand beaches and popular dive sites. It's also a favourite weekend beach destination because it is more accessible from Metro Manila.

___________________

How to get to Puerto Galera from Metro Manila...

If you are commuting, take a bus from Cubao, Quezon City or Pasay City bound for Batangas City Terminal Port or Batangas City Pier. (We took a bus in Cubao - Fare is 298 Pesos)
Travel time is around three hours.

Once you've reached Batangas Pier. Proceed to the Passenger Terminal to purchase your ticket.
There are 2 ferry operators to get your tickets (Montenegro Lines or Island Water). Also, you can choose between the RoRo Ship or Fastcraft. We were told the fastcraft is faster with only 50 minutes travel time but based on experience, it took around 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Puerto Galera. Perhaps this depends on the weather conditions.

___________________

Entry Fees/ Requirements...

When we reached Balatero Port in Puerto Galera, we were asked to pay 120 Pesos per head environmental fee.
Vaccination cards are no longer required.
Only requirement is the Tourist QR Code and Booking Confirmation Voucher from the hotel/resort

Underground River in Sabang | Puerto Princesa | Palawan | Philippines 2017

Going to Palawan this year I had to visit the Underground River in Sabang, Puerto Princesa. Or fully called: the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.
We go by boat, and take the jungle tour (monkey trail) back.

Follow on Facebook for more updates!

Don’t forget to check all music credits down below

-

NOTE! If you’re a foreigner and you try to book a room in Sabang – the Sabang in PUERTO GALERA is a different one from the one in PUERTO PRINCESA. You might end up booking a room in a totally different place, so please be careful

-

Tekst:

Going from Port Barton to the Underground River will only take you half a day by mini van and tricycle. After arriving in Sabang I check in at the hotel it’s time for a little walk around town.

BEELD

There are a lot of resorts in here, for every budget. Please do realize this Sabang is NOT the same as the Sabang in Puerto Galera! I found fellow tourists booking a room in the wrong place, ending up paying twice.
Well the main attraction around here, of course, is the Underground River. Attracting many locals and foreigners every day. It’s best to go early in the morning. You’ll be first in line, avoiding hours of waiting! Remember the desk opens at 8.
You will need to find a group of 6 people in total to share a boat. And when you’ve found your group, you’re good to go!

BEELD

I’m very excited we’re almost in. Remember it’s not allowed to talk inside.
It will be only the bats singing here….

BEELD

The sculptures passing by are amazing to see. Just imagine how long it would’ve taken for nature to create it exactly like you see it today. And this is only a small part of the entire river, which is 8.2 kilometers in total. New caves, river channels and even small waterfalls have been discovered quite recently. That makes me wonder: what more would there be hiding in here?

BEELD

And then there’s daylight again! Well you could go back the same way you entered, but if you’re up for stretching your legs, you better go by jungle…

BEELD

Our guide explains a lot about the nature that surrounds us. We even find some…
We’re real archeologists here! No, just kidding.
The whole walk is definitely worth the detour though. Ending up at a beautiful place as well….

Underground River Tour | Sabang | Puerto Princesa | Palawan

By MCG:

One of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Have to admit, I never expected the Underground River Cruise to be a good experience.
I mean, I thought it was just some ordinary same old cave which is why I never thought about trying it before. Until I did.

This underground river spans around 8kms and only around 1+km are allowed for the tourists to navigate. Imagine that.

The cool temperature inside made me want to just lie on the boat and doze off after nearing the endpoint. ????

Walking Tour of Sabang - Puerto Galera - Mindoro, Philippines

I took a walk around Puerto Galera. It's really a quaint little place. If you're into scuba diving, Puerto Galera is the place to be. I stayed at the Bamboo House Beach Lodge & Restaurant in Talipanon. Here's the link:

If you'd like to contribute to our efforts via PayPal, please accept my sincere thanks up front. I won't be sending a thank you email and here's why:

I want to focus on making videos. Period. I'm a one-man production crew most of the time and my editing skills suck. It takes me all day to edit a video. Add two babies, a house full of beautiful Filipinas causing me stress, and my beer drinking, and I just don't have time to answer every piece of communication coming my way. I got rid of Patreon and a monthly income because I didn't have the time to properly thank and interact with everyone. A thank you email created and sent by an intern ain't sincere in my book. It's more sincere if I just say thank you for your contribution now because it's really me typing these words.

If you're cool with that, here's the PayPal link:
