Hello from Rio de Janeiro! This was our first stop in Brazil and we were very excited to check out the top attractions, sample Brazilian cuisine, and squeeze in a little bit of beach time. We had an action packed week exploring the different neighbouhoods and trying everything from churrasco to brigadeiro, so we decided to film a city guide along the way. 25 Things to do in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Travel Guide and Top Attractions Transcript:
First up, we started with the city’s most iconic sight: Christ Redeemer. We boarded the train as soon as the station opened and made our way to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Sometimes the statue can be shielded by fog, but we lucked out with beautiful blue skies and panoramic views of the city as far as the eye could see.
For a bit of colour, we headed over to the Selaron Steps, which is a tiled staircase created by Chilean artist, Jorge Selarón. Initially Selaron would scavenge construction sites looking for tiles, but in later years as his work gained notoriety, travellers began donating tiles.
Since we chose to stay in the neighbourhood of Ipanema, we ended up spending quite a bit of time at Ipanema Beach. We noticed that this beach was really popular for beach football, volleyball, and surfing. And of course, what makes this beach so iconic are its two mountains, known as Dois Irmãos. If you come here on a clear day, you can catch a killer sunset.
No visit to Rio de Janeiro would be complete without heading up Sugarloaf Mountain, so when the skies finally cleared that’s exactly what we did. We paid for our tickets and boarded the cable car for a somewhat unnerving ride up. If you’re scared of heights, this probably isn’t the attraction for you, however, if you manage to make it to the top you get some really cool panoramic views of Rio.
Copacabana Beach is the most famed beach in all of Rio de Janeiro and if you were to visit on a weekend during the summer months you’d find that the place is packed beyond belief. We happened to be here in winter so things were a lot more relaxed, but that didn’t stop visitors from braving the waters.
We did a favela tour to Babilônia and Chapéu Mangueira. On our tour we saw lots of street art, learned about life inside a favela.

How to spend 3 days in Ilhabela, Brazil? | Aliz’s Wonderland

Then let me introduce you the incredible island of Brazil called Ilhabela, which literally means “beautiful island”. Check out how we spent 3 days in Ilhabela discovering beaches, waterfalls and the jungle.
DAY 1 - GETTING TO ILHABELA FROM SÃO PAULO
From São Paulo we needed almost 5 hours to reach São Sebastião, where the ferry departs to Ilhabela. After the crossing, we checked in to our accommodation, Pousada Mirante da Praia Grande then headed to the beach, Praia Grande, located only a few minutes from the pousada.
DAY 2 - PRAIA DE CASTELHANOS TOUR WITH LANDPOINT TURISMO
On our 2nd day, we visited Praia Castelhanos, which is located on the eastern side of the island facing the Atlantic ocean.
The 4x4 vehicle of Landpoint Turismo tourist agency bought us to the beach through the jungle of the Ilhabela State Park. That 15 km road was shaky but amazingly beautiful and we had many stops like a natural pool and viewpoints. The 1,5 km long sandy beach of Praia de Castelhanos is one of the most beautiful in Ilhabela.
DAY 3 - WATERFALLS AND BEACHES
Our original plan was to attend a boat tour to Praia Bonete located on the southern part of Ilhabela. Though the weather wasn't that promising, so we decided to explore different parts of the island.
Cachoeira 3 tombos was around 5 minutes drive from our accommodation, so we left the car at the entrance of the trail, and started the 700 m long walk. The waterfall has 3 drops, all of them are beautiful and unique in their way and well connected with the trail.
After the waterfall, we attempted to discover other beaches like Praia Veloso or Praia Curral. The parking places close to the beach were overpriced, so we left the car at our free parking space of the accommodation and after 10 minutes of walking, we reached Praia do Julião.
This beach is smaller and more tranquil than Praia Grande. At its sides, big rocks can be found in the water, where many people were snorkelling and looking for fishes in the clean water.
DAY 4 - THE WAY BACK TO SÃO PAULO
After our last breakfast in Pousada Mirante da Praia Grande we checked out and on the way to the ferry station we stopped at a viewpoint called, Mirante do Piúva, where a huge “I love Ilhabela” sign is located.
Finally, we headed to the ferry station and said goodbye to Ilhabela.

Walking in Caxias do Sul: Downtown and Casa de Pedra ???????? Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil【4K】2021
Caxias do Sul is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. It is located in the northeast of the state at an altitude of 817 meters above sea level, being the most important city in the Serra Gaúcha; the second most populous city in Rio Grande do Sul, surpassed only by the capital Porto Alegre; and the 47th largest Brazilian city.
Throughout its history, Caxias has been known as Campo dos Bugres (until 1877), Colônia de Caxias (1877-1884) and Santa Teresa de Caxias (1884-1890). The city was built where the Plateau of Vacaria begins to break up into several valleys, furrowed by small watercourses, with the result of having a very rugged topography in its southern part. The area was inhabited by Caigangue Indians since time immemorial, but they were violently displaced by the so-called bugreiros making room, at the end of the 19th century, for the government of the Brazilian Empire to decide to colonize the region with a European population. Thus, thousands of immigrants, mostly Italians from the Veneto region, but with some members from other origins such as Germans, French, Spaniards and Poles, crossed the sea and climbed the Serra Gaucha, opening up an area that is still almost entirely virgin.
Before the arrival of Italian immigrants in the 19th century, the region was inhabited by Caingangues Indians. Hence, its old name: Campo dos Bugres. There, muleteers also passed on their journeys between the south of the state and the center of the country. In the region, the Jesuits tried to found some reductions, although without success.
In the second half of the 19th century, due to the Italian war of unification, that European country was in a serious social and economic crisis, and impoverished farmers were no longer able to guarantee their livelihood. At this time, the imperial government of Brazil decided to undertake the colonization of uninhabited areas in the south of the country, encouraging the arrival of immigrants from Italy, after the success of a similar initiative with the Germanic element. The chosen area was then known as Fundos de Nova Palmira, a region formed by unoccupied lands, delimited by Campos de Cima da Serra, to the north, and by the region of valleys, to the south, of German colonization.
The city's primitive urban core around 1886
In 1875, the first settlers arrived, mostly from the Veneto region, after facing the arduous crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, which lasted about a month, in overcrowded ships and where deaths from disease and poor general conditions were common. Initially, immigrants arrived in Rio de Janeiro, where they remained in quarantine at the Casa dos Imigrantes. They boarded a steamer to the south, arriving in Porto Alegre, where they were sent to the former Porto Guimarães, today the municipality of São Sebastião do Caí. Then, they went up the mountain, crossing the still practically wild region, until they reached their destination: the area where, today, Nova Milano is. From there, in 1876, they moved to the so-called Headquarters Dante, site of the future Caxias do Sul, the administrative center of the colony, the first to be demarcated in the region, where they were received in a wooden shed - hence the epithet Barracão too attributed to the small colonial headquarters. Afterwards, they were distributed in rural lots assigned to them by the government. A year later, there were already about 2,000 settlers at the site. On April 11, 1877, the official name of the place became Colônia Caxias, in honor of the Duque de Caxias.

ROTEIRO DE 4 DIAS EM ILHABELA - SP (com preços)
Muita gente sempre me recomendou Ilhabela, um dos lugares mais queridos do litoral de SP, e com certeza eu vou indicar para todo mundo, porque esse lugar é muito gostoso. Em 4 dias, consegui aproveitar bastante.
????1º dia: Fomos para o lado sul da ilha e conhecemos a Praia das Conchas que tem uma paisagem surreal de linda; tem uma Piscina Natural que é muito boa para relaxar e fomos na cachoeira do Paquetá, com um visual lindo de borda infinita. A cachoeira tem uma trilha leve, é tranquilo de chegar. Almoçamos no Ben’s que possui uma comida muito gostosa.
????2º dia: Fizemos um passeio de barco com experiência gastronômica com peixes da região e preparados por uma chef caiçara @barcanomar
????3º dia: Tiramos um dia para turistar pela vila que é muito charmosa. Recomendo muuuito ir à Sorveteria Rocha. Vocês não têm noção do quanto sorvete de lá é maravilhoso!! Experimentamos também o waffle de pão de queijo da cafeteria @cafeconceitoprime . E para acalmar a mente, fizemos uma aula de yoga com a @jessoliv
????4ª dia: Fizemos outro passeio de barco. Iamos a ir para a ilha Montão de Trigo com o @helioonoda , infelizmente o mar estava muito mexido e fomos a conhecer algumas praias do lado norte da Ilha. Apaixonei pela praia da fome!! Amei muito!. Recomendo conhecer também Praia do Saco do Eustáquio, Praia de Indaiuba e Praia de Castellanos. À tarde, aproveitamos uma massagem relaxante com o @sparaizesilhabela . A Raissa tem uma energia e um poder divino!

Rio De Janeiro Downtown | Brazil Travel Vlog ????????
Time for another Rio vlog visiting the famous steps of Selaron also known as Esadaria Selaron and seeing some more of the best attractions in Rio de Janeiro which most of those places are free to visit.I believe by going with the order of my plan you save time and money and is easily done in 1 day as you can see.
From Copacabana i used the metro system that its quite reliable and easy to use and went to the busiest part that is the City Centre .I started the day with a nice coffee at Starbucks then went to National Library that is opposite, walked for few minutes to the Confeitaria Colombo a nice decorated coffee place ,afterwards i walk to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian a unique architecture then walked again to the famous steps of Escadaria Selarón, also known as the Selaron Steps then went with a taxi to Maracana Stadium and later ended the day at Museum of Tomorrow and Mural Etnias ,a graffiti being done by Eduardo Cobra that is the largest graffiti done by a single person in the world. All of this attractions in 1 day.
Once again am here to provide to you my daily itinerary of each day i was in Brazil ,more specific in Rio de Janeiro and giving you along the way all the necessary tips ,advices, suggestion ,prices of each attraction ,scams to avoid in Brazil and showing you basically as much information needed so when you visit this amazing city you don't get surprised by anything unexpected
In Rio de Janeiro and general in Brazil is hard to plan ahead because all depends on the weather to visit some of the top touristy attractions in Rio . I went In February -March 2020 when it was the carnival that is supposed to be their Summer but most of the days it was raining. But i have chosen the attractions carefully according to the weather and my trip was being done with success .
