LOCATION
Driving on the Trans Caprivi between Rundu and Victoria Falls, crossing the village of Kongola (400 km east of Rundu and 100 km west of town Katima Mulilo), turning turn towards the south. 25 km further down, you will find a signpost marked “Camp Kwando” where you will turn right for another three kilometres.
By Air, Lianshulu strip (FYLS) is 10 min from Camp Kwando and transfers are available on request.
ACCOMMODATION
Camp Kwando offers 3 different kinds of accommodation.
There are 13 thatched roof Island Tents each with two beds with mosquito nets.
1 Family Unit. Tents are built on poles with a terrace overlooking the river with en-suite bathroom. The 6 Tree Houses are larger thatched roof bungalows built on stilts, very spacious room with big en-suite bathroom and an expanding terrace.
10 camp sites on lawn and ablution blocks. Laundry facilities also available.
ACTIVITIES
Camp Kwando offers a variety of activities including Boat trips on the Kwando River, visits to the Traditional Village nearby, Game Drives into Mudumu Park (4 hours), Bwabatu (full day),
Fishing on the Kwando River and mokoro trips down the river. We also offer activities for children.
FACILITIES
Restaurant, Bar, Curio Shop, Swimming Pool, Deck with fire place overlooking the Kwando River, Lounge Area & Reading Corner.

Need to take a break from the daily norms and get some rest and harmony in a natural norm that soothes the soul.
During a recent trip with Miss Supranational on her Victory Tour through various regions, out first stop over was at Taranga Safari Camp.
The entire surroundings of the camp is a big WOW.
Situated 30 kilometers from Rundu on the way to Katwitwi this place is a well deserved stopover either from the Zambezi region or even if you travel from the Kunene region.
Enjoying a good cold beer on the floating bar on the Kavanago river makes one to forget about time.
I will soon post a longer and more detailed video on the Victory Tour and all the places, faces and sounds we encounter on the rip.
