Disneyland Park History - Rare Time Lapse Construction Footage
Building Walt's Dream: Disneyland Under Construction presents recently unearthed time-lapse photography of Disneyland's construction, arranged by land. Providing audio for the footage are Imagineer Tony Baxter, Disney archivist Ed Hobelman, and Walter Magnuson, who are familiar enough with the content to supply real insight in territory that's expectedly more narrative than a typical audio commentary.
Tony explains in the narration the footage, believe it or not, was found in a can inside a Pennsylvania salt mine. Yeah. It was a film canister with the word “Disneyland” scribbled on the front, and someone found it and returned it to Disney.
The material is presented in three parts: first, an opening section where we see Walt Disney walking the property. Second, is the time-lapse footage, one segment for each land. And finally, there is some video of Walt, Harper Goff, and the company overseeing the Jungle Cruise construction. Walt was famous for preserving his and his team’s thought processes (he hired stenographers to take detailed notes in every story meeting during the creation of the animated movies and save as many original sketches in the archives as he could). Here he realized that the construction of Disneyland would one day be something to study and reference. So, he set up numerous cameras and observation towers around the property to film the construction footage in time-lapse as it was happening. We see an American historical landmark in all stages of construction.

Warszawa, miasto stołeczne Warszawa[2] (m.st. Warszawa) – stolica Polski[3] i województwa mazowieckiego[4], największe miasto kraju, położone w jego środkowo-wschodniej części, na Nizinie Środkowomazowieckiej, na Mazowszu, nad Wisłą.
Prawa miejskie uzyskała przed 1300[5]. W 1569 mocą unii lubelskiej Warszawa została ustanowiona miejscem obrad sejmów Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów[a]. Od 1573 odbywały się tam wolne elekcje. Po 1596 do Warszawy przeniesiono dwór królewski i urzędy centralne, a w 1611 w rozbudowanym Zamku Królewskim na stałe zamieszkał król Zygmunt III Waza. Miejsce obrad sejmików generalnych województwa mazowieckiego i sejmików ziemskich ziemi warszawskiej od XVI wieku do pierwszej połowy XVIII wieku[6].
Warszawa jest największym miastem w Polsce pod względem liczby ludności i powierzchni[1]. Jest również jedynym polskim miastem, którego ustrój jest określony odrębną ustawą. Od 2002 jest gminą miejską mającą status miasta na prawach powiatu[7]. W jej skład wchodzi 18 jednostek pomocniczych – dzielnic m.st. Warszawy[8].
Warszawa jest ważnym ośrodkiem naukowym, kulturalnym, politycznym oraz gospodarczym. Tutaj znajdują się siedziby m.in. Prezydenta RP, Sejmu i Senatu, Rady Ministrów oraz Narodowego Banku Polskiego. Warszawa jest także siedzibą agencji Frontex, odpowiedzialnej za bezpieczeństwo granic zewnętrznych Unii Europejskiej, oraz Biura Instytucji Demokratycznych i Praw Człowieka (ODIHR), agendy OBWE.
Warszawa została wyróżniona Krzyżem Srebrnym Orderu Wojennego Virtuti Militari[9], Orderem Krzyża Grunwaldu I klasy[10][11], Krzyżem Niepodległości z mieczami[12] i Warszawskim Krzyżem Powstańczym[13].
W 2010 think tank Globalization and World Cities (GaWC), badający wzajemne stosunki pomiędzy miastami świata w kontekście globalizacji, uznał Warszawę za metropolię globalną (Alpha-)[14]. W 2016 ocena ta została podwyższona do kategorii Alpha[15].
