Things to do in Sun City | South Africa
Sun City, the famous vacation destination in South Africa is ideal for family or honeymooners. Opened in 1970 Sun City resort is the most renowned vacation spot of South Africa offering the guest a passage to the royal bequest. The destination has everything one needs to take a vacation full of entertainment and fun. There are attractions near lying close to the resort, like Pilanesberg National Park and Johannesburg offering you a perfect day tour.
The resort opens up the thrill and adventure with an exciting escape to The Palace of the Lost City, the Cascades, the Nedbank Golf Challenge to the Valley of Waves and more. Talking about the amusement and excitement Sun City offers some amazing Water Sports Activities at Valley of the Waves where you can enjoy the water slides, lapping waves, parasailing and more.
Get lost in the wilderness with Maze of the Lost City that takes you on a journey similar to the similar semi-ruined Mayan stone maze game. Passing through the suspension bridge from the Sun City Entertainment Centre, you will reach the Maze that is neither too tough nor easy but surely entertaining. Apart from the Maze and the Valley of the Waves Sun City has entertainment centers like Theatre, Movie zone, Sun City Superbowl, boutiques and shops, Silhouette Nightclub and more. People can shop and spend some time enjoying the nightlife, the stage shows, and movies. The Casino is another entertainment option you can choose to try your luck.
Safari is another option to engage your day in Sun City. A short distance from Pilanesberg is great for morning and afternoon game drive. There are other adventure activities like Hot Air ballooning you can try to admire the scenic beauty and the wilderness of the region.
One can plan a day with some other enthralling activities like golf or Quad Biking and Segway Tour. Overall, Sun City is the only destination where you can enjoy your day in leisure and add or thrill. The luxury accommodation and relaxed atmosphere can make your vacation worth and memorable at Sun City.

Rosebank - The place to stay in Johannesburg | City Sightseeing to Soweto | Gauteng | South Africa
Our 24-day Southern Africa Adventure Safari concluded in Johannesburg, where we were dropped off in Sandton. We extended our stay by 3 nights, staying at the hip neighbourhood of Rosebank. Any city slicker would feel at home here, surrounded by the vibes at The Zone @ Rosebank, Craddock Square, and Rosebank Mall.
Rosebank is also the main tour office and stop of the City Sightseeing (Hop On Hop Off) bus in Johannesburg, so it was a convenient way to see the city and its sights like St. John's College, Hazeldene Hall and those listed below in the Chapters. An extended tour brought us to Soweto, and included the iconic FNB (Kaizer Chiefs) and Orlando Pirates stadiums.
When it was time to get to the O.R. Tambo Airport, Rosebank had a Gautrain station, which accepted credit cards without having to purchase tickets. Africa continues to impress.

This 24-day overland, camping adventure in Southern Africa covered South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe (and Zambia for some). We camped for 13 nights, the rest of which were spent in hotels, lodges or tented camps. Our group size was 16, comprising participants from Canada, Portugal, UK, Denmark, and Czech Republic.
Our guides from the NE South Africa region were Bheki and Duncan. We travelled in a purpose-built Hino truck by the operator, Drifters, though participants booked the trip through different agents.
