HOW TO GET TO ROMBLON
BY AIR
Tugdan Airport in Tablas is the gateway to the province by plane. Cebu Pacific regularly fly to and from Romblon. From the airport, catch a ride to Odiongan Port and hop on to ferries going to Romblon Island or travel by land to San Agustin where there are regular boat trips (10AM and 3PM) to Romblon. Meanwhile, Romblon to San Agustin boats departs at 8AM and 1PM everyday.

Romblon Romblon is my favourite island in the Philippines, so I want to show you all of the very best things to do: including the iconic Bon Bon beach.
After taking the ferry from Tablas Island, We took a road trip around Romblon by e-bike, checking out the historic Fort San Andres, BonBon Beach, Tianbam beach, San Pedro Beach Resort and the hidden canyons of the Kipot River.
Romblon is most well known for it’s marble industry and seriously, this island is a must see!

Finally! For 4 years, ever since I heard about this province, I always wanted to go here. However, as strange as it may seem, this beautiful island province which is even situated very close to Boracay, still remains one of the least visited provinces in the whole country.
So I really hope this video will encourage more people to visit Romblon!
Our trip started off at the biggest island in the province, Tablas, where we decided to stay at the very nice beach resort called Footprints. This is located along the stunning shoreline of Agpudlos beach. We also got to visit the mysterious bamboo forest in the highlands nearby.

Romblon Island is full of surprises and so many beautiful beaches. We were really impressed by how much Romblon had to offer.
We visited the incredible Bon Bon Beach to check out the beautiful sand bar at the crack of dawn and it did not disappoint. The colour of the water was amazing and the beach was pristine.
After visiting a marine sanctuary in the afternoon for a swim, we had one of the best experiences of our lives when we were invited by the locals in Romblon to release baby turtles in the sea.

SOLO IN THE PHILIPPINES: ROMBLON ISLAND HOPPING TOUR
A solo adventure in the Philippines - Romblon Island hopping tour!
I went on a private island hopping tour around Romblon Island and had such an amazing time! Besides the famous Bon Bon Beach, my guide took me to 4 other cool spots:
1. Bon Bon Beach: Bon Bon Beach sandbar is Romblon Island’s most famous feature. There were hundreds of people on it during low tide, so we left and came back during high tide. I recommend doing the same as the experience without too many people around was just so much better!
2. Tiamban Beach: This beautiful beach was decorated with palm trees, white sands and crystal clear water! It's great for relaxing and soaking in the calm water.
3. Logbon Beach: The Logbon Pool forms during certain time of the year, which I was not able to see in April, but it was great for snorkeling. Like Tiamban Beach, the water was calm and crystal clear.
4. Marakay Marakay Island Diving Board: If cliff jumping is your thing, be sure to make a stop at the Marakay Marakay Island Diving Board! You will see many local kids climbing and jumping off the cliff, so join the party!
5. Tinagong Dagat: Apart from Bon Bon, Tinagong Dagat was one of the things I wanted to see most during my Romblon Island hopping trip. I loved soaking in the water surrounded by cool rock formations! You will need flip flops or water shoes for this one, as the rocks are sharp.

Due to the temporary closure of Boracay, we were curious and decided to explore Romblon to see if it's a good alternative for the world-famous beach. We were RomBlown away! Patrice Ave Averilla and I, along with Eric, traveled for the first time and discovered the beautiful islands of Romblon - including Tablas Island, Romblon Island and Sibuyan Island. It's an underrated beach destination with so much to offer. We will definitely be back!

This video was taken days before they announced the lockdown in the Philipines, last year in March, 2020. During this time, no Chinese were allowed to enter Boracay, therefore as you can see, there were hardly tourists in Carabao Island which was, on a positive side, a paradise just for ourselves.
