I finally found some time to finish my vlog about a trip we took in the french countryside last October 2021 during the fall season in France. ???????? I know it's been a while! How have you been? I'm sorry I got busy with travel and sometimes I just couldn't focus on editing! ????
Anyways...
????I have never heard about the Loire Valley before but now that I've seen it for a couple of days I absolutely want to go back!
????I'm sure it's on the top list of things to see and do in France.
The Loire Valley is one of the most visited locations in France just 2-3 hours away from Paris.
????It is located in the regions of the Centre-Val-de-Loire and Pays-de-la-Loire.
It is also referred to as the Garden of France for the abundance of vineyards and fruit orchards - an excellent place for wine tours and gastronomic adventures.
????No wonder the whole valley is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE.
????We had an enchanting roadtrip in the Loire Valley as it is filled with amazing scenery from vineyards to medieval towns, beautiful vilages, and magnificent chateaus.
????We went to three chateaus:
Chateau de Chenonceau,
Chateau Royal d'Amboise,
and
Chateau de Saumur.
????The valley is well connected by trains and buses and you can choose your itinerary since there are about 300 chateaus in here.

Du coup aujourd'hui on se fait une petite visite éclair de Châteauneuf-du-pape, tellement rapide que je n'ai même pas pris une petit verre de vin, tant pis je reviendrais !

Le pont du Gard est un pont-aqueduc romain à trois niveaux, situé sur la commune de Vers-Pont-du-Gard, près de Remoulins, dans le département du Gard (France). Il enjambe le Gardon, ou Gard. Plus haut pont-aqueduc connu du monde romain, il a été classé monument historique en 18401 et inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco en décembre 1985.

TOPO DE LA GRANDE VOIE :
L1 5c 35 m Remonter le fil du pilier (5a sur petites marches) jusqu'à un premier relais chaîné qu'on laisse à sa droite. Traverser alors à gauche du pilier, rejoindre un large goulet / canal que l'on remonte par la gauche. Sortie en traversée à droite. 5b soutenu et quelques pas de 5c ; R1 sur des marches (chaîne).
L2 5a/b 45 m Belle longueur en mur fissuré très redressé d'environ 45 m, 4c/5 soutenu. Relais confort sur une grande terrasse (10 m de marche).
L3 5b 40 m Continuer à gauche sur le fil du pilier (du relais sur plaquette, à gauche), 4c/5 aérien et parfois engagé, avec un pas de 5b (bien protégé) en adhérence.
L4 5a/b 35 m Pilier très facile puis petit mur très raide et prisu (5a/b). Attention, sur la droite en sortie de ce mur raide, une écaille semble bien fragile : ne pas la malmener SVP...
L5 4c/5a 40 m Pilier et dalle (4), rocher moins sûr en haut. En haut du ressaut (sur la grande vire), traverser bien à gauche pour rejoindre R5 (petite brèche). Le relais est constitué de 2 goujons non reliés.
L6 6a 30 m Très belle longueur bien équipée. Surmonter un mur raide et lisse (1 pas de 6a, A0+ possible puis 1 pas de 5c). Le pas de 6A est vraiment concentré au tout début de cette longueur, il y a un mono/bi doigts et le pas est un peu morpho, mais c'est possible de tirer à la dégaine si besoin.
Il existe un autre passage en faisant un crochet par la droite, plus facile 5b. Puis une belle dalle en 5b ou deux passages sont équipés (en pleine dalle à gauche sur pitons ou en utilisant la fissure à droite sur plaqette de 12) ; Rejoindre R6 à gauche.
L7 3b 20 m Vous pouvez faire cette dernière longueure en corde tendue. Sur le fil du pilier, petite arête en 2/3 non équipée (arbres) en rocher assez délité. Rester plutôt sur la gauche du fil, proche des arbustes : de gros blocs sont susceptibles de partir côté droit. Relais au sommet. On peut redescendre à gauche et faire le relais au niveau du chemin (sur un arbre).

Breanne cycling near our bed and breakfast Apres la sieste in St Laurent des Arbres. We took the B&B's owners' bikes out for a day and rode through Lirac, Tavel and Rochefort-du-Gard, all just north of Avignon, France.
