MARTY ROBBINS -AN AMERICAN TREASURE AND COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND -
Last week I visited the Grave of Country Music Hall of Famer, Webb Pierce. This week I am going to walk just a few step down the hill to visit the final resting place of another Hall of Famer, Country Music Legend, Marty Robbins.
Marty Robbins was born in Arizona and the Southwest Influence was captured in many of his songs, Like Devil Woman, Big Iron and his biggest hit and signature song El Paso.
In addition to country music, Marty also tried his hand at Stock Car Racing. Over a period of 13-years Marty Raced in 35 NASCAR Winston Cup Races, Including the Winston 500 at Talladega, Alabama, The World 600 at Charlotte North Carolina and of course the Dayton 500. Marty never won a Winston Cup Race but he did finish in the top 10 six times.
He was inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame in 1982,
