Calcata (locally Cargata) is a comune and town in the Province of Viterbo in the Italian region Lazio, located 47 kilometres (29 mi) north of Rome by car, overlooking the valley of Treja river.
Calcata borders the following municipalities: Faleria, Magliano Romano, Mazzano Romano, Rignano Flaminio.
In the 1930s, the hill town's fortified historic centre was condemned by the government for fear that the volcanic cliffs the ancient community was built upon would collapse. Local residents moved to nearby Calcata Nuova. In the 1960s, the emptied historical centre began to be repopulated by artists and hippies who squatted in its medieval stone and masonry structures. Many of the squatters eventually purchased their homes, the government reversed its condemnation order, and the residents of what had become an artistic community began restoring the ancient town.

Morlupo to Otricoli : Sicily to Ukraine part 30
Leaving the Province of Rome, I enter the Province of Viterbo and as can be seen it is now country roads in hilly countryside! This is still Lazio, the region which includes Rome, but at the end of the film I move into Umbria.
My channel on you tube : is very prolific. I have produced over 2,500 original films.
My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects.

I am very fortunate that I can spend a large part of my life travelling, thanks to the business I chose to run which allows me to do this. There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.
Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

Autostrada A26, uscita al casello di Casale Monferrato Nord fino al primo dei tre passaggi a livello di campagna ubicati in stradine laterali al rettilineo (SP 596dir) dall'uscita di Casale Monferrato Nord direzione Pavia. Lo scorso anno, in questo tratto di strada, erano presenti tre passaggi a livello. Gli altri due sono attualmente chiusi. Al PL del video sono state messe nuove barriere e qui un video di questo PL, girato l'estate scorsa, come si presentava senza barriere: - Motorway A26, from Casale Monferrato Nord tollbooth until the first of the three country level crossings located in side streets on the straight (provincial road no. 596dir) from the Casale Monferrato Nord exit towards Pavia. Last year, in this stretch of road, there were three level crossings. The other two are currently closed. At the LC of the video new barriers have been set and here a video of this LC, filmed last summer, as it appeared without barriers:

Abbiamo ripreso, in entrambi i sensi di marcia, il passaggio a livello ubicato sulla strada provinciale 30, uscendo da Gamalero (AL) in direzione Alessandria ed attraversato il paese. Nel territorio di Gamalero ci sono altri due passaggi a livello. Uno, particolarmente suggestivo, è quello ubicato in Strada Molina. Qui il video: .
