Easter Break Pt.3 2023
Short break over Easter and the following week, cruising through Belgium, Luxembourg, The French Alsace and the German Saarland, in my Campervan .
Checking out Castles, Fortresses and amazing rock formations.
Today I started at the Fort Schoenenbourg a large Fortress, part of the Maginot Line. I parked up at the 'Blocs de Combat', the Gun turrets of the fort the evening before.
In the morning I visited the insides of the Fort and the 3km of tunnels you walk through from the main entrance to the Turrets.
After the Fort I stopped by a 2nd Forification showing off a Patton Tank and further down the road stopped at an early French Tank, well what was left of it, before doing a little cycle up the hill to the Chateau du Falkenstein, before Parking up at a new Aire at Reichshoffen.

Easter Break Pt.4 2023

Today I started out from the Aire at Reichshoffen.
1st stop was the Chateau de Herrenstein. I never felt so strange in my life.
Please go there and tell me I'm imagining things.
After that we drove some miles to the Chateau de Ochsenstein where we did not encounter anything similar spooky. As Parkup I thought I go to the Chateau de Wangenbourg but that parkup is not level and it was quiet early evening. So I drove on a little to Niederhaslach to parkup for a quiet night.

Et voilà, après quelques semaines de repos sur notre chaine, voici notre nouvelle vidéo...
Cette fois ci, elle ne traite que très peu du camping lui-même, mais nous y referons un séjour pour vous le présenter en détail...
Nous nous sommes concentrés sur des visites sympathiques à faire, aux alentours d'Ornans... Il y a de superbes coins nature, tels que la source de la Loue, ou encore celle du Lison, des visites plus gourmandes à effectuer, comme celle du hameau du fromage, ou encore, un peu plus insolite, comme la ferme des lamas, à Mamirolle, que nous vous recommandons fortement, si vous êtres dans les environs...

L’inauguration du 26 août 2023 a signé la fin de 4 ans de travaux monumentaux menés par les TPF. Ceux-ci sont porteurs d’un dynamisme nouveau pour la mobilité de l’ensemble du canton et ont permis la mise en conformité de plusieurs gares avec la loi sur l’égalité pour les personnes handicapées (LHand).

Visite de l'église Saint Jean Baptiste à Lacroix sur Meuse
Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste, construite à l'initiative de l'abbé François Langard de 1858 à 1862 en accord avec le maire en place, Charles Emond et un plébiscite local, suivant les plans de Maxe, architecte diocésain, dans le style ogival xiiie siècle. Elle possédait des parcelles de reliques de saint Jean-Baptiste, de saint Sébastien, de saint Étienne, premier martyr mais elles ont été détruites lors des bombardements de 1914-1918. En son porche, elle conserve la pierre tombale d'Étienne III de Rosières, Seigneur de La Croix-Sur-Meuse, décédé le 24 novembre 1739 à l'âge de 86 ans. (épitaphe : CY GIST – COMTE ETIENNE DE ROSIERES –SEIGNEUR DE LA CROIX SUR MEUSE – ANCIEN CAPITAINE DE CAVALERIE- DANS UN REGIMENT ROYAL ETRANGER- TOUT APRES AVOIR TOUJOURS VECU- DANS LE VRAI SENTIMENT D’HONNEUR- ET DE RELIGION RENDIT SON AME A- DIEU LE 24 novembre 1739 AGE DE- 86 ANS). L'église est ornée de fresques réalisées dans les années 1920 par la famille Donzelli, d'origine italienne, installée et très active dans la région. Souffrant de l'humidité, elles ont heureusement été rendues plus visibles depuis quelques années.
The church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Varvinay is famous because of the distribution of a German postcard reissued by the French with the caption: Those whom the Germans call without asylum, these are the inhabitants whom they removed from their homes and imprisoned in churches”. In 1914, it shows the refugees from the sector locked up under the supervision of a German soldier. In September 1914, civilians from occupied villages were systematically rounded up and then locked up in churches, before being deported to Germany. That of Varvinay, which received refugees from the region, was repeatedly hit by artillery fire from the forts of Paroches and Troyon, in their attempts to bombard the German installations and shelters scattered on the slopes above the village. It was restored in 1920. In this church there is a preaching pulpit which is one of the rare preaching pulpits of old stones to still be preserved in the department. Its late decoration, with its pilasters, its arcades and its vegetal ornaments, is inspired by the 18th century.

Ich fuhr durch Österreich, Slowenien, Italien, und Kroatien innerhalb von 6 Tagen, hab das Mittelmeer mit einer Fähre überquert und sogar versucht in Bosnien hinein zu fahren. Komm und fahre 2500km mit mir auf meiner Yamaha Diversion xj900 mit!

Salon du modélisme de Coutances 2014 - Mini Bac
Les 25 et 26 Octobre 2014, le Mini Bac organisait son salon du modélisme et de la maquette, salle Marcel Hélie à Coutances. Dans le hall d'exposition, différents types de modèles réduits étaient exposés : bateaux, sous-marins, avions, réseaux de trains, voitures, camions, figurines, maquettes statiques, cirque, etc...
Tout au long du weekend, les modèles navigants ont pu évoluer sur un bassin de 10 mètres par 10 mètres.
Le petit mot du Club:
La 12 ème édition du salon du modélisme de Coutances a été un véritable succès avec environ 2500 visiteurs au cours des deux jours. Le Mini Bac tient à remercier tous les exposants pour leur précieuse collaboration.
Un grand coup de chapeau donc à vous toutes et tous qui avez oeuvré pour la réussite de ce 12 ème salon et nous espérons avoir le plaisir de vous revoir pour une nouvelle aventure en 2018 !
