The Rawang waterfall is only 25 KM away from Kuala Lumpur city. And it’s the best choice for make a day trip near Kuala Lumpur.

Selangor Fruit Valley | Rawang | Day Trip| Places to visit near Cyberjaya | For Kids | 4K
After following maps for 50 km from KL, we had to drive another 1 km to reach the entrance of Selangor Fruit Valley. Near the gate, there is a stall selling fruits & vegetables produced from the farm. It has a spacious & free parking.
Next to ticket counter, there are restrooms. Entrance fees range from free to max 30 Ringgit depending on the age & nationality. After purchasing ticket, we were offered complimentary unlimited juice & fresh fruits while waiting for the transport.
A tractor driven tram arrived to take us for the SFV tour. The design was very innovative and attractive for kids. Each tram compartments were sanitised following SOP and also had a sanitiser bottle beside.
This farm is developed by PKPS, a subsidiary of Selangor State Government.
Passing by various fruits trees, we reached our first stop, ECO BRIDGE. A garden with green creeping plants and shrubs to give it a shady and peaceful surrounding to sit and relax.
With chicken & fish on menu Rimbun Café was open for a filling lunch. You can also grab some food and drinks since this is the only café here.
LAMAN HERBA or the herbs garden is supposed to have more than 100 species of herb.
Opposite to it is Carambola Pavilion, a complex equipped with seminar room, laboratories, and a great viewpoint of the vast tropical fruit & vegetable farm.
With the clock ticking here come our tram again to take us to the next stop.
While waiting under the pomelo tree, we realized with minimal walking this place is ideal for elderly person. The staff were also very helpful and responsive to get low step tram for them.
Getting down at TAMAN RUSA or Deer farm, we saw spotted dear & Timorensis. Kids enjoyed feeding them long beans sold by the staffs. They were mostly friendly whereas some were afraid to come close.
So, waving them a good-bye, the tram took us through mango trees, rambutan, coconut trees and dropped at the next stop called TAMAN ARNAB.
This was mainly a Rabbit farm. Spotted many rabbits left freely nibbling grass, hopping, running about, jumping, and of course burrowing!
The staffs were putting rabbits on head and hands of the kids so that parent can take out some nice pictures. There was also a small playground for kids to spend some time.
We noticed a big cage having various small colorful birds. We spotted some newborn baby rabbit, who were kept warm separately in some wooden tray with lots of shredded papers. Next, we meet a short spiny mammal hiding himself under white papers called hedgehog.
Boarding the tractor again, passing by garden of pineapple and a small pond we reached Rumah Kampung.
This is a traditional Malay house built in such a way that even on a hot sunny day, you will find the place much cooler. Everything visible here was made of wood. As we noticed a stall from the balcony selling coconut, we quickly got one to quench our thirst.
Beside this house, there was also a small section with many chickens, ducks, goats & geese enjoying in their own compounds.

Malaysia's LESS TRAVELED Destination? | rainforest, vlog malaysia, rawang | Explore With Bolu
Hi Unique Family,
In this video, I visited where I refer to as Malaysia's less traveled destination. This is one of the most popular rainforest in Malaysia, located in Rawang, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. I ask a question though if this is among the less traveled destinations as well as tourist attractions in Malaysia as compare to other places I have visited in Malaysia. This is one of the most scary travels I ever had within Malaysia, but at the same time, it was much fun. There is a lot to explore in this travel vlog Malaysia as I was surprised at the wonders of this less traveled destination. Let me tell you a little about where I explored in this video.
This hidden gem, just 35 minutes by car from downtown Kuala Lumpur is a must-see for a retreat from the busy city. Upon entering the park, visitors are greeted by a small space for picknicks, a few swings, and even a little restaurant. This area is also inhabited by a few monkeys so keep an eye on your belongings. If you advance further into the forest and follow the water, you will be greeted by the first tier of the waterfall, complete with a small pond that is open for swimming.
The Taman Eko Rimba Kanching Waterfall travels down seven distinct tiers, all with specific distances up the hill. The park is usually not very crowded and often very quiet. It’s the perfect location to get up close and personal with the region’s diverse wildlife.
I had a lot of fun in this rainforest in Rawang, as it was an experience never to forget. While exploring, I also met a couple of new friends, mostly locals who come here just to retreat and have nice time with family. Hence, a question I tried to figure out, if it is the less traveled destination among tourists, and even locals. I have documented my explore in this vlog, for your pleasurable view.
I also found out there are several places that visitors can explore in Rawang, though most of them are rainforests. Those coming from Kuala Lumpur or specifically KL sentral can use the KTM or ETS train directly to Rawang, and then book a grab to the rainforest waterfall Kanching. Another alternative transport route is to go via the MRT and stop at Sungai Buloh, then take a grab, but I guess this might be more expensive. I must confess, there is a lot to see and explore out of Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, and this rainforest in this less traveled destination is one.

The retreat is surrounded with 360° views of the Kanching Rainforest Reserve. Upon arrival you would feel as if you have travelled to a remote area but only a 30 minute drive away from the centre of KL. Escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and hold your family and friend gatherings here. The natural environment allows every guest to chill, relax, destress and recharge. You have the whole space of about three (3) acres on an elevated land to yourselves. There is a viewing deck with scenic views overlooking mountains (Bukit Takun/Anak Bukit Takun), a lake and golf course. There is a private infinity pool for swimming with jet spa + splash pool and there is also a fishing pond in the retreat. Charcoal with BBQ and other kitchen tools are provided for your cooking needs. We are also in close proximity to eating places and Tesco is a 5 minute drive away. The retreat is located on 3 acres of elevated land with private access, in a gated and guarded community. There are ample car parking spaces. The environment provides you with tranquillity; it is very cool and breezy because you are surrounded by rainforest. Your 'neighbors' include cheeky monkeys, otters, monitor lizards, squirrels, tropical colorful birds, wild fowl, large butterflies, dragonflies, bats, fireflies. Prepare yourself for their occasional visits during your stay at the retreat. The serenity and tranquillity from escaping the concrete jungle, which all of our guests have experienced here is what we hope to share with everyone. We also have a real passion for nature and life. There is so much to explore in Malaysia and we will be happy to share with you our experiences and guide you through the beautiful places our wonderful country has to offer. The retreat is located in a peaceful and tranquil loving community & we strive to ensure that the environment stays that way. Because the retreat is situated on an elevated land, any noise made will be amplified with echoes, hence any loud noise after dark is strictly prohibited.
