Shikarpur to Mohenjo Daro is 107 Km. I am passing through Larkana city. Shikarpur is a small city and the capital of the Shikarpur District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is situated about 29 km west of the right bank of the Indus, with a railway station, 37 km north-west of Sukkur. It is the 42nd largest city of Pakistan by population according to the 2017 census. Larkana is a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is called the city of Holy Alams due to the greatest number of Holy Alams as compared to other cities or regions of the world. It is the 15th largest city in Pakistan by population. Today I will take you on a journey in the world of tourism. In Larkana, a famous district of Sindh province of Pakistan, this city has a unique historical and political status. Former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto were also from Larkana district. Larkana is a famous city in Sindh province of Pakistan which is also a district in Sindh. Sindh is the fourth largest city in terms of population.
While it has the honor of being the 15th largest city of Pakistan. According to the 2017 census, the total population of Larkana is 490,508 people. The city has a population of 6,000 people per square kilometer. The total population of the district is 1.54 million. The total area of Larkana city is 82 square kilometers while its metropolitan area is spread over 1906 square kilometers. Larkana is situated at an altitude of 441 feet above sea level. Former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
Actress Soha Ali Obero and Fog Singer Abida Parveen are also from Larkana. It is believed that the Mohenjo-daro civilization existed here 2500 years before the birth of Jesus, from which it is estimated that four thousand four hundred and fifty years ago there were highly civilized people living in the Indus Valley. Mohenjo-daro is located at a distance of 7 km from Dokri railway station in Larkana district.
Mohenjo-daro means Dela of the Dead. The city was discovered in 1922 during excavations started by Surgeon Marshall under the Archaeological Survey of India, which uncovered thousands of closed secrets of history. Mohenjo-daro is known as a modern and civilized city that thousands of years ago was considered a center of modern conveniences and incredible skills. The people of this city were engaged in agriculture and trade. Larkana district is located on the west bank of the river Indus.
Jacobabad district in the north, Shikarpur district in the northeast, Khairpur district in the east, Kambar Shahdab Kot district in the west and Nowshera district in the south, which borders Feroz and Tadu districts. District Larkana consists of four tehsils, including Tehsil Larkana, Tehsil Bakrani, Tehsil Radodero and Tehsil Dokri. Sindhi is the most widely spoken language in Larkana district, comprising men and 48.9% women.
Other languages spoken are Urdu, Seraiki, Punjabi and Balochi. More than 95% of the population of Larkana district is Muslim and the rest of the population is Hindu and Christian. Larkana is a desert region with extreme heat and mild cold. Temperatures can reach up to 53 degrees Celsius. The average annual rainfall in Larkana is only 127.4 mm. The highest rainfall was recorded here in 1994. 524 mm was recorded while the lowest rainfall in Larkana district was recorded in 1938 at 7.1 mm.

#ChandkaMedicalCollege (CMC) was established and inaugurated by the former #primeminister of Pakistan #ZulfiqarAliBhutto on 20 April 1973. M8 Motorway | Sukkur- Larkana to Gwadar | By NHA |The Ratodero Gwadar Motorway | Life TV Online
The M-8 (Urdu: موٹروے 8) is an east-west motorway in Pakistan, connecting Sukkur- Larkana to Gwadar. The motorway partly currently under-construction, while the 193 kilometer stretch between Gwadar and Hoshab was inaugurated in February 2016. A timeline for the completion of the motorway is not available due the difficult terrain in which the motorway is being constructed.
The Ratodero Gwadar Motorway (M-8) will start from Ratodero in Sindh Province and enter Balochistan Province passing near the towns of Khuzdar, Awaran, Hoshab, Turbat before joining the Makran Coastal Highway just east of the port city of Gwadar. The M8 will cross the Dasht River and pass near the Mirani Dam in Balochistan Province. The M8 will have 4-lanes and a total length of 892 km. Initially, 2-lanes will be constructed after the completion of which another 2-lanes will be added, thus making a total of 4-lanes.
The M8 is being constructed by Pakistan's National Highway Authority. Construction of the M8 commenced on 15 October 2004.[2] According to a newspaper report of July 23, 2015 the construction arm of Pakistan army, Frontier Works Organization (FWO) has completed 502 of 870 kilometer of this road.[3] The work started simultaneously from the junction with the Makran Coastal Highway (MCH) and from Ratodero in Sind. As of January 2015 the road is completed except for some bridges from MCH to a point near Hoshab where it joins N85 (Hoshab-Panjgur-Besima Highway) and Hoshab-Bela Road. The M8 Motorway will be following the alignment of N85. From the Ratodero end M8 to Khuzdar is almost complete except for a difficult section going over the peaks of northern Kirthar range about seventy km east of Khuzdar. M8 motorway is part of CPEC central Route. Motorway half part from gawadar to hoshab is operational with 2 lane. Other 2 lane will be added after M8 will be fully operational. Motorway is operated by NHA & FWO.
