BEST STREET FOOD IN JERUSALEM // ISRAEL-PALESTINE TRAVEL VLOG
Street food in Jerusalem in delicious! We started the day off with empty stomachs and slowly filled them up as we tried as many street foods as we could in Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda Market before the market closed for Shabbat. We both agree that the most delicious food we tried was Sufganiyot (Israeli doughnut), while the most entertaining food was Malawach. We loved walking around the market and trying all the foods that caught our eye!
We have included the price of each food item in the video to give you an idea of the cost of food in Israel. Spoiler alert - it is not cheap! Israel is a very expensive place to travel to which is something you will want to keep in mind if you are planning to visit. We are believers in learning about a place through the cuisine, so we were happy to spend a little more than we normally would to get a better feel for the huge variety of food that can be found in Jerusalem. If you are the same, watch this video in full to see where to eat in Jerusalem, what to eat in Jerusalem, and what people in Israel eat! We feel confident we found some of the best street food in Jerusalem and hope you enjoy coming along with us as we give it a try!

Walking through the streets of the old city of Ramla. Israel. Ramla is a city in central Israel. The city is predominantly Jewish with a significant Arab minority. Ramla was founded circa 705–715 CE by the Umayyad governor and future caliph Sulayman ibn Abd al-Malik. Ramla lies along the route of the Via Maris, connecting old Cairo with Damascus, at its intersection with the road connecting the port of Jaffa with Jerusalem.

Ramle is an obscure treasure. Known mostly to Israelis, the core history originated in the early Umayyad Islamic history of the 8th century. The remains of the White Mosque include a rare square minaret. Of the same time period, the ruins of a villa with its underground hydrolic system are in such good repair, it’s fun to take a refreshing boat ride inside.
It’s possible to get a shwarma in the old town area, with the bath complex nearby. A crusader church occupied what is now the center market area. It now operates as a mosque. The commonwealth cemetery is extensive, a reminder of modern armies to win back the area from the Turks. The Karaite sect of Judaism have their world headquarters here in Ramle. Without realizing it, people drive over the old Baybar Jindas bridge (1273 CE). The inscription in Arabic, flanked by lions, is still in place. Enjoy!
