Now you can become the owner of a house with a garden in the resort town Rakitovo in the Rhodopes. The property has great location - only 10 km from the spa resort of Velingrad and 5 km from the ski resort of Tsigov Chark.The house has a trimmer joists and brick structure with an area of 98 sq.m. Bulgaria vlog this time we will travel to Velingrad Bulgaria and visit the Dorkovo museum in Velingrad Bulgaria.
Dorkovo Museum in Dorkovo, Bulgaria, established in 2013 in a domed wooden structure, has a display of fossils collected from the Pliocene geological epoch of about five million years ago around the village of Dorkovo, a life-size model of a gomphothere, related to elephants, and a diorama.
History
During 1983 a team of paleontologists from Bulgaria and France carried out excavations in and around Dorkovo which unearthed fossils of 5-million-year-old prehistoric mammals of the Pliocene geological epoch. The study was supported by the National Museum of Natural History. The museum was created only 30 years later at the site by the National Museum of Natural History, artists and those associated with the excavations at Dorkovo to display the fossils, a gomphothere model and other animal sculptures, and a diorama based on the Pliocene animals and forest. Funding for the museum was provided under the regional development of the European Union (EU).
The museum was inaugurated on 19 September 2013 by Rosen Plevneliev, President of Bulgaria. It is located 150 kilometers (93 mi) from Sofia in the Rhodopi (village) of Dorkovo between Velingrad and the Batak Reservoir, in the Pazardzhik region.

The village of Bunovo in the spring turned out to be as beautiful as I expected. I decided to come film the famous railway bridge and was not sure if the photoshoot will be a pretty one as I was not sure if there is anything interesting around, but the nice weather and combination of mountains meeting the valley, old architecture, monuments and pastoral village images created a beautiful scene for us to enjoy. The village is around 60 km away from Sofia, in the valley locked between Stara Planina and Sredna Gora mountains, called “Podbalkan”. It seems like a normal village, but there is this awesome old stone railway bridge that overlooks the whole village and valleys, very picturesque. I timed the flight with a lonely passenger train going to Sofia, disappearing in the mountain’s tunnel – a 3km long one. The village is also notorious with a dark moment in history, when a terror attack happened back in 1985 in the train Burgas – Sofia. After a nice flight over and under the bridge we headed to the nearby memorial of Vasil Levski on the main road, situated in the curls of very sharp S-like road curves and is a very interesting sight from above.
