Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, an ethnic autonomous prefecture under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, is located in the southeastern part of Yunnan Province on the southwestern border of China, bordering Baise City in Guangxi to the east, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the south, the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture to the west, and Qujing City to the north. The total land area is 31,456 square kilometers.
Wenshan Prefecture has the jurisdiction of Wenshan City, Yanshan County, Xichu County, Malipo County, Maguan County, Qubei County, Guangnan County, Funing County, and the state capital, Wenshan City.
In 111 B.C., Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty set up a county here; in the Ming and Qing dynasties, Guangnan and Kaihua provinces were established.
On December 13, 2018, Wenshan Prefecture was selected for the list of superior areas of Chinese special agricultural products. According to the data of the seventh census, the resident population of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was 3503218 as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020.
In 2020, the total regional production of the state is 118.512 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% over 2019, ranking 5th in the province.

Location: Located in eastern Yunnan Province, Qujing is the headstream where the largest river in South China, the Pearl River initiates. It is bordered by Guizhou and Guangxi provinces in the east. The capital city of the province, Kunming lies about 130 kilometers (81 miles) west to it.

Luoping is a small county at the convergence of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi. Flourishing rape flowers in vast rape fields are the most charming scene in Luoping. It is an ever ideal attraction for photographers. Usually, the Rape Flower Tourism Festival is held around February, 21st. Jinji Peak in northeast of Luoping County is recommended as the best perspective to catch the enthralling pictures of the rape flower field.
Nine Dragons Waterfalls are consisted of ten tiers of waterfalls in 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) long reaches of the Jiulong River with a fall of more than a hundred meters (328 feet) in total. It ranks among the six most beautiful waterfalls in China and is reputed as the most spectacular waterfall group as well.
Other Scenic Spots: Duoyi River, Lubuge Mini Three Gorges, Beipanjiang Bridge
It is about two hours' drive from Qujing city proper to Kunming. From the Dongju Passenger Transport Bus Station in Dongjiao Road of downtown Kunming, there are buses to Luoping leaving once an hour. Qujing Gaokuai Passenger Transport Bus Station is located in No.65, Jiaotong Road. Passenger Transport Bus Station stands in No1, Jiaotong Road, Qilin Garden (Qilin Huayuan).
The region enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate, and the weather is temperate and pleasurable throughout the year. The average temperature in coldest January and hottest July are respectively 14 and 19 degree centigrade (57.2 and 66.2 degree Fahrenheit). Due to the high altitude, climatic types ranging from the lower subtropic to north temperate all can be found in the city. Thanks to the temperate weather, this place is an all-year-round destination. Notable is that March to October is the period in Yunnan celebrations and festivals of ethnic minorities are densely held, and it is also the pomp season of flowers and fruits. But May to October is the rainy season in Yunnan. Umbrella and warm clothes are the prime priorities.
History: The Five-Chi Road (Wuchidao) in the city was the earliest pass opened during the Qin (221BC-206BC) and Han (206BC-220AD) dynasties to linking the transportation in and around Yunnan. By the western Han Dynasty (206BC-24AD), county has been established in this area. In the following five hundred years after the Western Jin Dynasty (265-316) set up prefecture to administrate the region, Qujing was always the political, economic and cultural center of Yunnan.
Physical Features: The terrain here is mainly made up of mountains, hills and plain or basins in plateau. Karst landform also has distribution in the city. Its overall terrain declines from northeast to southwest. It has an average altitude of 2,000 meters (6,562 feet). The vertex of the city is the Guniu Stockade (Guniuzhai) in its Huize County.

the HEART of Qujing doesn't offer much to just tourists - but it is still a WONDERFUL place to go.
Qujing is a massive city (acre wise) but the hustle and bustle of Qujing is really Qilin District. This is where all the schools, all the factories, all the CIVILIZATION is located. If you are coming because of what I mentioned above, then odds are you will be in Qilin District.
Qilin District (locally we just call it Qujing and don't clarify Qilin District) is RAPIDLY growing and catching up with the capitol of Yunnan - Kunming. As far as western accomidations goes, we have:
- Two KFCs
- One really nice Pizza Hut
- Three Dico's Restaurant locations (Dico's is actually a Chinese chain, but sells mostly westernized foods - like Chicken sandwiches and french fries)
- One Walmart (other supermarkets that exist and DO sell western products are JiMart and My HoMart)
There is also a Carrefour currently under construction. Additionally there are literally TONS of apartment complexes being built. There is a new airport between Kunming and Qujing (soon to open) and the trains are supposedly going to be faster (currently is takes 1 1/2 hours by train to get from one to the other

Jinghong City is a county-level city in Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, and is the location of the state government. The total area is 6,867 square kilometers, and the total population in 2020 is 642,737. The word Jinghong means City of Dawn in Dai language.
Jinghong, Xishuangbanna, located in the tropics, has attracted many people from other regions to settle here. Some people who have settled here say that they don't want to leave after living in Banna for more than a week.

Yuxi,Secret Land on the Plateau,Spiritual Water Town,Humanistic Homeland
Yuxi City, located in the middle of Yunnan Province, known as the hometown of Nie’er, tobacco, Huadeng opera and plateau lake, is one of the core cities in city group of central Yunnan. As an important junction of the eastern and central Trans-Asian Railway routes and Kunming-Bangkok Road, it is the nearest prefecture-level city to the provincial capital Kunming, greatly developed by Yunnan to be a radiation center facing South and Southeast Asia. It has a unique radiation location for the international market with a population of 2 billion, entering the high-speed railway era, realizing the high-speed railway between county to county and having the geographical advantage of the tourism core region in central Yunnan and southeast, south and southwest Yunnan tour routes connection. The city's forest coverage rate is close to 60%, and the proportion of areas with good environmental quality in the urban center is 99.7%. It is one of the first healthy cities in the country and an excellent place for sightseeing, leisure, health care and sojourn.
Nine counties (cities, districts) are governed by Yuxi, each county possessing featured tourism resources. Ecologically livable, Hongta District is known as the hometown of Nie Er, the hometown of tobacco and the hometown of Huadeng opera, with its people outstanding. Jiangchuan District is a land of milk and honey, having splendid bronze culture. Chengjiang County possesses spectacular scenery featured by verdant mountains and beautiful rivers, aiming to become an international tourist city, international health city and international conference center around the Fuxian Lake. The historical Tonghai is famous for its folk story Xiu Jia Nan Dian, its talented people, its splendid culture and its spectacular scenery. Huaning County is a Spring Town of China, noted for oranges and ceramics. Yimen County, a water town in central Yunnan, producing fungi, and surrounded by rivers, mountains and trees. The first autonomous county of Yi nationality, E'shan County is featured by its hospitable people who are talented in dancing and singing. Xinping County, with Dai nationality, a descendant of ancient Dian kingdom, and Ailao Mountains as its features, is rich in traditional customs and vegetation species. Yuanjiang County, an excellent place to avoid cold and preserve one's health, has fragrant flowers and fruits, with majestic and spectacular Hani Terraces.
