Batlag Falls is just a 10 minute trek from Daranak Falls.

I've been in Pililla Rizal Wind Farm before, but this time, it's the same place but different location. This is my first time taking this not so secret route. We took the route from manila east road to Pililla and go for a loop ride to tanay discovering this place.

Radial Road 5, more commonly referred to as R-5, is a network of roads and bridges that all together form the fifth radial road of Manila in the Philippines. My friend Alfonso suggested this mountain
He climbed this mountain last 2014. 5years ago tour guide is not required, but because of some incident of nakawan they decided to required guide for safety purposes.
I recommend this mountain for beginners but be physically and mentally ready coz the trails is a bit challenging.
From Brgy, you can start your trek by walking to the cement roads crossing residential areas. Getting to summit is about 3 – 4 hours trek depend on your pace.
The 1st part of the trail is easy, I called it rocky trail. 2nd part is the muddy two trails bcoz we encountered two separated trails along the way, note always choose the right way. After 1 hour of trek we reached Manggahan campsite where we had our quick rest at the bamboo benches. You will see a wide flat grounds good for pitching tent. During a bad weather, guide will not allow you to camp at the North and South peak, too dangerous, better to spend the night here.Before resuming some of the boys went to the mini falls just 5mins away to refill water for us, Note no water source at the north and south campsite.
The real challenge starts after Manggahan campsite. The trail becomes moderately steep and bigger rocks along the trail. Sakit sa tuhod huhuh there were instances that you’ll be holding to these rocks for support especially at times when you need to crawl.
After 2 hours, we reached the grassland trail, when you reached grassland it means you are 30 minutes away from 1st peak the North Peak we pitched tents here coz we are all exhausted and hungry. Add another 30minutes when you plan to camp at the south peak the summit. As per Alfonso South peak is more spacious, can accommodate 10 campers.
The view here was amazing, nakakaiyak sa ganda ng view. A side from Laguna de Bay and Sierra Madre you could also see Talim Island and Mt. Makiling. Oh by the way we also had dog guide such a lovely and behave dog!
