4 Best Places to Visit in Rio - 1 Month Update
Number 3 was our favorite. Rio is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world! I love being surrounded by thick, rich, green vegetation everywhere we go. The plant life is so incredible, we all just stop and stare. All these places are great and easy to enjoy with the family. Video 8
1. Copacabana Beach. One of the most famous beaches in the world. It is beautiful, perfect for surfing and sun bathing. The wide sidewalk is lined with incredible black and white cobblestone. Great for scenic walks.
2. Parque Lage (where Snoop Dogg and Pharrell filmed their video “Beautiful”) Parque Enrique Lage is a public park in the city of Rio de Janeiro, located in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood at the foot of the Corcovado. The land was formerly the residence of industrialist Enrique Lage and his wife, singer Gabriella Besanzoni. We also enjoyed playing at a playground on the perminses where we saw monkeys in the trees.
3. The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden or Jardim Botânico is located at the Jardim Botânico district in the Zona Sul (South Zone) of Rio de Janeiro. The Botanical Garden shows the diversity of Brazilian and foreign flora. There are numerous greenhouses. The garden also houses monuments of historical, artistic and archaeological significance. The 140-hectare park lies at the foot of the Corcovado Mountain, far below the right arm of the statue of Christ the Redeemer and contains more than 6,000 different species of tropical and subtropical plants and trees, including 900 varieties of palm trees.
4. The Vista Chinesa (Chinese Belvedere). It’s in the same neighborhood as Jardim Botânico and the Parque Nacional & Floresta da Tijuca. It has a beautiful traditional Chinese structure overlooking the amazing views of Rio.

20 Things to do in São Paulo, Brazil Travel Guide and Top Attractions Video Transcript:
Within the park grounds you’ll find the Afro-Brasil Museum, which is a contemporary museum that looks at African culture and influence in Brazilian society. And not too far from there, you’ll come across the Museum of Modern Art.
Batman Alley is located in Vila Madalena and it has become a popular tourist and Instagram spot. Apparently the place gets its name because the first piece of graffiti to go up was one of Batman back in the 1980s.
If you’re a football lover, this is a place you won’t want to miss.
Being the foodies that we are, we couldn’t skip the Municipal Market. Here you can find exotic fruits, fresh vegetables, meats, spices and even restaurants. We went there right around the lunch hour to try the famed mortadella sandwich.
From there, we visited Sao Paulo Cathedral. We only learned this after our visit, but there’s a crypt you can visit.
Next up we headed to the neighbourhood of Liberdade, which has the largest Japanese community in the world outside of Japan. We decided to hit up a sushi buffet for some food!
That evening we met up with our Brazilian friends, who took us out for a night on the town.
That morning we visited Pinacoteca do Estado, which is a cool art museum that focuses on works by Brazilian artist or works with Brazilian subject matter.
After that we headed over to Parque da Luz. This park is right next to the museum and it has a lot of interesting sculptures scattered about.
Sao Paulo’s Teatro Municipal first opened in 1911. The Martinelli building is 30 stories high and it was the first skyscraper in South America.
And that’s a quick look at how we spent 2 days in Sao Paulo. We hope you enjoyed this guide and that it gave you some ideas on how to tackle South America’s largest city. Começando do extremo norte capixaba, lá na divisa com a Bahia, a praia de Itaúnas, em Conceição da Barra, se destaca por sua beleza e o charme do vilarejo que mantém suas características rústicas. Considerado por Alceu Valença como o lugar que reinventou e reviveu o forró pé de serra no Brasil, o nome Itaúnas vem do tupi que significa pedra negra, por conta das pedras que dão a coloração escura do rio Itaúnas. E a calmaria da vila dá lugar à muita música no verão e no famoso festival de forró, em julho, quando o município é invadido pelos jovens.
A cidade foi soterrada por uma imensidão de areia nas décadas de 60 e 70, após um grande desmatamento da restinga na região, que ocasionou em dunas na vila de pescadores.
Itaúnas sem dúvidas é um Paraíso onde você consegue unir o calor do deserto e a brisa do mar.
E se for passar o dia por lá, a minha dica é almoçar no restaurante da Dona Tereza. Eles servem uma deliciosa moqueca capixaba que é especialidade da casa. E que tal dar uma esticadinha mais para cima e conhecer aquela que já foi eleita a segunda praia deserta mais bonita do Brasil?

Para você chegar até aqui na praia da Barra da Lagoa de Floripa leva em torno de uns 40 km do centeo da cidade, sem movimento, segue sentido Lagoa da Conceição, você irá passar pela avenida das rendeiras local cheio de barzinhos e restaurantes, seguindo em frente vc passará tbm pela praia da Joaquina, muito famosa aqui em floripa devida suas dunas de areia e local ideal para a prática de surf.
Seguindo em frente vc passará tbm pela praia mole até chegar na Barra da Lagoa, muito conhecido devido suas piscinas naturais.
Aqui na Barra tem uma boa infraestrutura, com vários estacionamento, vários mercados, panificadoras, peixarias, bares, lojas, hotéis e pousadas.

Barra Grande es una playa espectacular dentro de la Bahía de Camamu, al sur del estado de Bahía. Es una playa increíble de aguas cristalinas, y arenas doradas, que ofrece todo lo que se necesita para disfrutar de unas vacaciones de lujo, o como un buen mochilero cerca de la ciudad de Salvador Bahía.

Quatro Barras tem em seu território o traçado original da Estrada da Graciosa, construída entre os anos de 1854 e 1873. Atravessando o trecho mais preservado de Mata Atlântica do Brasil, a Estrada da Graciosa foi a primeira via carroçável do Paraná. Sua importância histórica está atrelada ao início do desenvolvimento do Estado, por onde circulava o fluxo econômico da época, já que era o principal acesso entre Curitiba e o litoral. Segundo registros históricos, a Estrada da Graciosa também guarda em sua tradição a passagem do imperador Dom Pedro II e sua comitiva, que em visita oficial ao Estado, em 1880, descansaram à sombra de um pinheiro.
Ao longo de suas curvas sinuosas, o visitante encontra antigos oratórios e pontes centenárias construídas entre o final do século XIX e meados do século XX, como a Ponte do Arco e a Ponte sobre o Rio Taquari, onde começa a Área de Preservação Ambiental da Serra do Mar. O trecho é visitado diariamente por ciclistas, motociclistas e visitantes adeptos das corridas e caminhadas.
A Estrada da Graciosa original ligava o Município de Curitiba a Antonina e Morretes. Com a abertura da BR 116, um novo acesso à Graciosa foi construído, deixando todo o trajeto de Quatro Barras esquecido. Por décadas a Velha Estrada da Graciosa, uma das primeiras Estradas do Paraná, foi utilizada apenas por caminhões vindos de pedreiras e por jeeps do Rally da Graciosa.
Hoje pavimentado, o trecho reúne atrativos muito interessantes como pontes e capelas centenárias, monumentos, belas paisagens, trechos originais, portais e empreendimentos.
A estrada sinuosa atualmente é muito procurada por ciclistas, motociclistas e para esportes radicais, que encontram nela paisagens únicas.

We believe the best birthday gift is a trip to somewhere new. Somewhere close or far, for the weekend or a week. Family time exploring a new place is the best gift we can give. We drove seven hours from Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro to Anchieta, Espirto Santo. We chose this place because it was a quiet beach town and close to the Rio border so we didn’t have to drive so far. We are still in the middle of the coronavirus but all the roads were open with no stops or checks. The airbnb we rented was disinfected before we arrived. We social distanced in the town when we needed to buy food. We had the beach all to ourselves. It was so nice to get out of our appartment and into a cute house with hammocks and an awsome outdoor kitchen. The beach was 100 meters away. The week we spent in Anchieta was a wonderful break from quarantine life in the city. Happy 41st birthday Chris, we love you! Video 169

Today we take a boat trip on the Amazon river of Brazil to go to Combu Island AKA Ilha do Cumb. We are traveling around Brazil for many months, and this is the Para State part of our travels. We have been in Belem, Brazil for a few days. Now we get outside of the city of Belem by taking a boat. We find out where chocolate comes from on the side of the Amazon river on a stilt house where they grow and farm the cacau fruit. Want to see how Brazilian chocolate is made?
