Kuala Lumpur is located in the west of Peninsular Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur enjoys an incredible diversity, expressed through its delicious cuisine, iconic landmarks, and modern skyscrapers mixed with colonial architecture. These are 10 Fun things to do in Kuala Lumpur:
10. Visit The Batu Caves
This series of caves is tucked within a limestone cliff and houses several Hindu temples and statues. The Temple Cave is the main one, sitting at the top of a 272-step rainbow-colored staircase.
9. Discover The Street Food Scene
Thanks to its blend of cultures, Kuala Lumpur offers a wide variety of food. Right in the heart of the city, you can find Jalan Alor, a street of atmospheric hawker stalls and restaurants. It’s a great place to try some local food at affordable prices, with choices of barbecued meats, noodles, fried rice, juices, and desserts.

8. Walk Around KL Forest Eco Park
KL Forest Eco Park is one of the only remaining parts of a tropical rainforest within the city limits, featuring nature trails and canopy walks.
7. Admire The Skyline
To gain a new appreciation of Kuala Lumpur, we recommend taking in the skyline view from above. We visited Vertigo Bar, located at the 59th floor of the Banyan Tree. Alternatively, you can head to SkyBar at Traders Hotel or the KL Tower observation deck.
6. Visit The Petronas Twin Towers
At a whopping 88-stories, these are the tallest twin towers in the world. At the ground level, be sure to check out Suria KLCC, a shopping center with a variety of designer stores, cafés, and restaurants.

5. Party At Changkat Bukit Bintang
Bukit Bintang is the entertainment epicenter and comes alive at night. Changkat, a stretch of bars and restaurants in Bukit Bintang, is a party haven for locals, tourists, and expats.
4. Stroll Around Chinatown
Petaling Street Market is the heart of Chinatown. Other interesting places to visit include the Sin Sze Si Ya Temple and Kwai Chai Hong.
3. Visit The Thean Hao Temple
This six-tiered temple is one of the biggest in all of Southeast Asia, combining elements of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. Located on a hill a bit outside the city center, the temple also provides some fantastic views of Kuala Lumpur.
2. Shop At the Cultural Bazaar (Pasar Seni)
The Cultural Bazaar, formerly known as the Central Market, is an important historic landmark in the city. Today, it’s a popular market for handicrafts, coffee stalls, and all sorts of delicious sweets.

Finally, right next to the Petronas Twin Towers, you can find a beautiful 50-acre KLCC Park with walking trails. Every evening, Lake Symphony hosts a light show here. It only lasts about 10 minutes and usually starts at 8, 9 and 10pm.

Attractions in Malaysia - Putrajaya (Chapter I)
I decided to make videos of interesting places and events within the country where I came from, Malaysia, before I started on other countries in the world that I will be visiting from now on. Malaysia may not be the best option available on vacation places ( or it just might be...), but I personally think we can't never ran out of places to go here in this country. Rich with cultural diversity and authenticity, it will always be the number one place in my heart regardless.
This video is also my first time (test trial/practice) to shoot with Sony A6000 though there will definitely be more coming up soon.

Putrajaya Luxury Travel Guide | Best Itinerary for Fun!
Until 1995 there was only rainforest and plantations here in PUTRAJAYA but now this 5,000 hectare region is Malaysia’s #1 eco-friendly city, named after the country’s first prime minister. And it will surprise you! Only 25 minutes from KLCC is the perfect destination for a marvellous Weekend Staycation Getaway or Full Day Excursion from Kuala Lumpur. You’ll feel like you’re a world away as you explore the natural beauty of Putrajaya’s wetlands, walk along its manmade lake, and explore its lovely monuments. From sun-up to well into the night, there is something for everyone to do and this video should act as a Putrajaya Travel Guide and itinerary for solo travellers, couples, and families.
You’ll notice that my normal list of fun spaces to enjoy a sunset session or happy hour are mostly missing. Putrajaya is comprised of quite a traditional Muslim community so alcohol is served (I think!) exclusively in high end hotels that cater to out-of-towners as well as locals. But the spot I recommend made the best dirty martini I’ve had in ages so you’ll be just fine ????

Putra Mosque
Set on the picturesque lake in downtown Putrajaya, Putra Mosque’s earth-toned exterior makes it one of the prettiest mosques I’ve seen in Malaysia so far. I didn’t enter (it was my 1st week off crutches so I couldn’t walk much) but the lovely flower-lined pedestrian-only areas surrounding the mosque made it special for me.
Taman Putra Perdana Park
This is a hidden gem that is unknown to most people, including a couple of people who have lived for years in Putrajaya who I spoke with and who had never heard of it. In fact, it’s so off the beaten path that when I went I was the only person in the entire park aside from the gardeners! It’s a wonderful place to stop in for a picnic lunch or lazy morning stroll. The park itself is gorgeous but as you’ll see, the views will blow you away.
Putrajaya Wetlands
Aside from the hot air balloon flight, this was my favourite attraction during my stay. There were so many diverse birds to watch, with many trees and fauna that are unique to the area. I even spotted one of those big (I would swear it’s a almost a crocodile haha) water lizards who was feeding on some fish and having quite the time! It is said to be the largest freshwater wetlands constructed in the tropics and it is Malaysia’s very first man-made wetland.
- Open 9am – 5pm but I suggest you go between 11am – 4pm to see the most amount of wildlife because that’s when the feeding buckets are filled
- Be sure to get out and explore the various areas and tree houses, etc. I was limited by how much I could walk sadly

Do it right and stay in style at Le Méridien Putrajaya! Their Club level rooms are absolutely massive and come with the added benefit of the Club Lounge. There you’ll enjoy a chilled breakfast each morning (unless you order brekkie in bed like I did) and a nightly cocktail hour. The hotel is very centrally located and close to everywhere you’ll want to visit during your stay. For full details, visit their website
Their Chinese restaurant Le Mei is a real MUST (check out my behind-the-scenes moments in the kitchen and full restaurant review in this video I’d suggest a fine dining dinner there + dim sum lunch on Sunday to extend your Weekend Staycation just a bit longer.
