Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France. Wherever you are in the Chamonix valley, all you have to do is look up to see the majestic Mont Blanc, culminating at 4,810 meters above sea level. But that's not all: the Glacier des Bossons, the Aiguille du Midi, the Mer de Glace, the Col de Balme, the Aiguille d'Argentière, the Grandes Jorasses, the Dent du Géant... The Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley is home to thousands of snowy wonders and peaks to watch (or climb!).
During summer when the snow melts, nature takes over and the landscapes are transformed, offering a completely different panorama. Although Chamonix remains a nature destination first and foremost, its town center is breathtaking. In summer, it is particularly pleasant to stroll around this small town in bloom at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. The town of Chamonix was once just a humble mountain village.
Chamonix was part of the historical land of Savoy emerged as the feudal territory of the House of Savoy during the 11th to 14th centuries. The historical territory is shared between the modern countries of France, Italy and Switzerland. The House of Savoy became the longest surviving royal house in Europe. It ruled the County of Savoy to 1416 and then the Duchy of Savoy from 1416 to 1860.
The first party to publish (1744) an account of their visit was that of Richard Pococke, William Windham and others, such as the Englishmen who visited the Mer de Glace in 1741. The growth of tourism in the early 19th century led to the formation of the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix in 1821, to regulate access to the mountain slopes (which were communally or co-operatively owned), and this association held a monopoly of guiding from the town until it was broken by French government action in 1892; thereafter guides were required to hold a diploma issued by a commission dominated by civil servants and members of the French Alpine Club rather than local residents.
Reflecting its history, Chamonix features a mix of traditional Alpine architecture and more modern buildings. At the center of the town's pedestrian area is a lovely Baroque church. Scattered around Chamonix are old-fashioned chalets and Belle Epoque hotels, as well as rustic country lodges.
The village is full of tourist shops, upscale boutiques, and gourmet restaurants. Dining options range from casual cafés and traditional brasseries to fancy gastronomic establishments. However, the best way to enjoy the regional cuisine is experiencing a welcoming auberge or mountain refuge.

We visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris, going up the most iconic structure in Europe and learn about its history, in this France travel video. We begin with aerial views of the famous tower. Then ascending the tower, we enjoy panoramic views on the 2nd level and top level, and wrap with the tower lit-up at night. Gustave Eiffel designed and built the tower for the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris.
This production is my first use of select stock video (mostly aerial views) from Envato Elements to compliment my own hand-held HD footage of the tower from our past trip to Paris in 2010.

On est allés à Ménerbes en juin 2021. C'est situe dans le Luberon et est l'un des plus beaux villages de France. On a fait des courses au marché , mangé le déjeuner, acheté des produits locaux, etc... C'était très sympa!
Et à la fin, avant de rentrer, on est passé dans un autre village pour manger des glaces!

One of the ramparts overlooks the Vauban port which welcomes the large yachts moored in the much larger marina in the Mediterranean.

Avant le partir, il y avait du brouillard donc j'avais peur qu'il y en ait toute la journée, mais heureusement il a fait beau du coup on a profité de notre promenade dans le village. Et on a aussi trouvé beaucoup de chats.

Where is the Eiffel Tower?
The Eiffel Tower is a famous structure in Paris, France. It was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the World's Fair held in 1889. The tower is 1,063 feet tall and about 779 feet wide at its base. It was designed by Gustave Eiffel, and it took over 200 workers three years to build it.
The Eiffel Tower is the most-visited paid monument in the world. Roughly 2 million people visit it every year. There are several versions of the tower; however, all are identical with one exception: The top half is open to visitors while the bottom half remains closed off.
About the Eiffel Tower
In 1889, Gustave Eiffel created the first steel tower for the Paris World’s Fair. He designed it to be as strong and durable as possible, so it could withstand winds of up to 200 miles per hour. The exterior was covered in iron sheets that were rust-proofed with chromium oxide. To protect against corrosion, they also coated the interior with an anti-corrosion agent called chromate of potash.
The Eiffel Tower has been a popular tourist attraction since its completion in 1889 and remains one of the most recognizable buildings on Earth today.

On est allés à Tourtour en juillet 2021. C'est que l’on surnomme le village dans le ciel et est l'un des plus beaux villages de France. On a fait des courses au marché , mangé le déjeuner, bien sur une petite promenade dans le village...
D'abord le soleil etait tres timide mais on a profite de tourner avec le soleil dans le village finalement!
